Excellent Server, great food, very timely on the table– as ordered. The place looks great after the re-​model. Both of our meals were spot on. Very hot, job well done !!

This family ran restaurant is cramped and going through a renovation (as of April 2016). When I was there they only had one unisex bathroom and construction items and workers everywhere. All that aside, let’s rate the food. I ordered a XXX root beer and a water with no ice… Assuming the soda would be chilled. It wasn’t. Next I ordered their version of a French Dip and the all you can eat salad. The salad was good but it was served on a tiny plate. I ate alone so every time I wanted more salad I had to wait on a server. Other tables were given a large bowl to eat from. It wasn’t that big of a deal but the servers were just too busy to notice. So there I sat for 15 mins waiting on my sandwich. It arrived and had decent presentation; served with chips. The chips were OK… I guess but I didn’t eat many. The sandwich was a little soggy but it was a French Dip so that was OK but the au jus was the saltiest I’ve ever had. I tried eating the sandwich but I just couldn’t. I ended up picking bland roast beef off a greasy bun. I would only recommend this place if it seated half as many, the construction was done and the food wasn’t a knock off of Jason’s Deli. I expected more genuine dishes for the price. I quietly payed my bill plus 20% and left. As I walked out 3 workers said «thank you». I will not be back.

Probably good «Italian» if you don’t know any better or are used to Fazolis or something. Simply put it is an attempt at Italian. Took my family there recently and it’s just average. Everything was average. Experience, service, food. I hate to pile on, but I think this place stays in business appealing to the blue collar crowd that considers chef boyardee amazing Italian. Just being honest. However when I eat out, I want a story. I want an experience. You won’t get it here if that’s what you are looking for. If bowling ally food is something you like, then this place might be for you. I realize this is a tough review but the owners need to know that they need to step up there game. Too many Options in the area these days for complacency.

I have visited the location twice. The first time I ordered the carbonara and tonight a small pizza. Each time the food has been good. The carbonara was not too heavy and the pizza better than average. The service has always been nice. Dinner entrees come with all you can eat salad and breadsticks. The salad is good with a creamy Italian and the breadsticks average. The overall price is not bad. They appear to be remodeling currently, really not a big deal as it did not disrupt our dinner. We would return.

I wasn’t surprised to see the rest of the 2015 reviews here. We’ve been there recently — because my 15 year old LOVES their ravioli with alfredo sauce. They give you 8 pieces of ravioli though. 8. So I hate taking him there –because he doesn’t get enough food — and its $ 12 for 8 pieces of ravioli. It just doesn’t make sense to me.
I get different things each time I’m there. The food is usually good — I get chicken parm, or the spicy chicken alfredo. My daughter likes their salmon.
The salad has changed a bit over the past couple years. Used to be you got a big bowl with their dressing on it — and could help yourself while you waited. Breadsticks are always free. Used to have paper table cloths the kids could color on — really LIKED that. But they did away with it in effort to make their restaurant appear more sophisticated and up their prices. Their prices have gone up, up, up, and while the food is okay– its not all that.
Their wine choices have a LOT to be desired, and they charge $ 8, 9 a glass for wine you can get in the grocery store. Owners says you can’t — but yes, you can. I know my wines.

The salad dressing is really good. The Alfredo is very tasty, but you never know what you’re going to get. I accidentally spilled a drink on the floor, they walked over and handed us napkins and walked off without saying a word. We used to eat there on a regular for five years, and then realized that they just aren’t friendly. In fact, I got the feeling we weren’t wanted. We won’t be going back anymore.

Great food and great value. In my opinion, the very best pizza in town. However, yesterday, I took my time studying the menu and went for an entrée. The food was delicious and I was VERY happy to see that most of their ingredients are locally sourced. That counts for a lot with me.

I visited today for the 2^nd time. Last time I just had the spaghetti and meatballs and it was good. Lasagna today that was very tasty. The sauce was flavorful and rich. Definitely like the lasagna more than spaghetti and meatballs. Hubby got italian sub and gave it 4 stars. Fresh bread and lots of toppings. Salads were nothing spectacular but were fresh. Breadsticks were just fair. I will be back.

One look at the menu and I should have known not to eat here. Italian nachos? Italian jambalaya? Chicken parm made with cheddar? Clearly this Indy eatery is as Italian as Larry Bird. However, it was late, we were tired and had no better destination in mind so we decided to give it a try. My 12 year old son took a bite of his Wedding Soup, put his spoon down and said, «It’s Campbell’s». My wife’s salad was wilted and bland and she took no more than two bites before pushing it away. However, I had the Tomato Caprese and I was pleased. The tomatoes were fresh, the mozzarella was quality and just the right amount of balsamic to compliment the dish. It was good enough that I remained hopeful for my entrée.
I ordered the Lasagna Classico because … I mean how can you screw up lasagna? My wife got the Trio which offered chicken parm, lasagna and fettuccine alfredo. We waited a long time for our meals, but it was rather full so that’s forgivable. The gravy used for my lasagna was horrible, obviously jarred (Prego maybe) and clearly had been heated in a microwave; my wife’s was the same. The chicken for her chicken parm was quite good, well cooked, tender with just a hint of crunch to the breading, but suffered from the same gravy and not mozzarella, but as previously mentioned cheddar cheese. Her fettuccine alfredo was a solid clump and she had to stir it to cover all the pasta in the sauce. It was bland at best, but flavorless is probably more accurate. She literally took a bite of each and then pushed her plate away. My son didn’t seem to mind the gravy on his spaghetti and emptied his bowl, but I’m pretty certain he has a tapeworm so I would expect nothing less from him.
When we were through, my wife was met with an inquisitive look from the waitress when she declined a to-​go box. «It wasn’t good» my wife sheepishly said. «I’ll get your bill» was the waitress’ response. No «I’m sorry about that» or any attempt to make it right. I expected to see her meal removed from the bill, but it was not. $ 77 and change for three adult meals and salads came to an even $ 88 with tip.
Other than my Tomato Caprese, there was nothing remotely good about this meal. The service was attentive, but not great and the food was awful as well as overpriced. I can’t say for certain that it was the food, but on the way home I started to feel nauseous.
In hindsight, I could have had a better and much more authentic meal by licking Mario Batali’s a$$h0le. Avoid this place at all costs!

Food was pretty good all around for hearty Italian cuisine, but the service was exceptional. We had a party of 8 with a 5yr old and 8 month old, not the easiest to seat and handle on a busy Saturday night. The manager worked her magic with the her hostess and was able to seat us in 10 min and not the original 40−60min, great awareness and team work! Lots of smiles from all the staff and our server went out of her way to make our experience top notch. Well done!

Salad was just your standard Kroger-​bagged-​iceberg-​and-​little-​else. Dressing was tasty, but nothing exciting.
If the mushroom ravioli was made in house, it didn’t really benefit from the experience. Cream sauce was rich but forgettable.
Nothing wrong with the meal. No reason to come back.

Michaelangelo’s just isn’t really anything too special. We ventured into this place with our family the other day (as I said before, that’s all it’s really for, right?) and found that it really isn’t worth much consideration. All of the food is pretty average. It’s one of those places that you can’t say anything bad about, but nothing good either. The positive is that it’s a more traditional Italian restaurant as opposed to a fancier one like we have on the square or a pizza-​only place. During our latest visit, I had some pasta with bacon and peas in it (can’t recall the name for some reason) and it was alright. The soup I had was pretty good. The spaghetti is nothing to cry home about though… if you’re going, I’d avoid that.

We love this restaurant. The food is wonderful. The presentation is lacking, but who cares when the food tastes as great as it does?
It is a locally owned eatery, so the menu is limited. There are non gluten-​free offerings on the menu, so be wary if you are looking for a GF option.
The salads are 100% better than Olive Garden. We could eat just that and be satisfied

We come here every few months and always have a good meal. We tend to order the same stuff each time. The kids like it and pricing is good. Salad and breadsticks are kind of generic but so is olive garden.

We were met at the door by the manager, who quickly seated us. The dining area was decorated in an Italian flair, with large art posters on the walls, bottles filled with oils, vases to enhance feel.
Our waitress was quick to take our drink order as we looked over the menu. They serve Pepsi products along with a selection of beer and wines. The menu provided a selection of classic Italian dishes, with homemade lasagnas, raviolis, fettuccine, and spaghetti, along with pizza. The waitress gave us details about their special for the day. A ravioli and spinach ravioli with tomatoes and in a fettuccine sauce.
My eye quickly found the Cajun chicken fettuccine, Cajun seasoned chicken breast with red pepper pasta in an Alfredo sauce. My guest settled on the daily special. Each entrée came with all you can eat, Italian salad and breadsticks.
Our salad and breadsticks quickly arrived to our table. The crisp lettuce, onions, carrots, red cabbage, tomato wedges, and crotons, were tossed with a creamy Italian dressing. It’s taste was tantalizing. The warm breadsticks were soft and lightly garlicky. Very welcoming.
It wasn’t long until our entrées arrived. My guest’s ravioli was covered in an Alfredo, with diced tomatoes on top. My entrée had a generous portion was seasoned chicken, fettuccine and Alfredo. My first bite was exactly as I was hoping. The chicken was tender and perfectly season. The Alfredo was a creamy, buttery delight. I enjoyed every bite, along with some more salad and a couple more warm breadsticks that were brought again to our table. My guest enjoyed the ravioli. Telling me to remember that dish she would order it again. She rated it a five out of a five. I agree with that assessment of my dish.
I eat in many restaurants throughout the country. I understand at any given day you can have a great experience or a bad one. This experience was very good. The food was great, the service was great. Our bill was under $ 30.

I’ve been here 8 – 10 times over the years and always had a good experience. Like others have said, Michaelangelo’s is like a small Olive Garden. Be value minded with the menu. During one visit, my aunt ordered a diet soda, personal pizza, then added a salad, breadsticks and dessert. Then she nearly choked on the check. Meanwhile, I ordered water, the ravioli special with free breadsticks and salad, and found it to be a good value.
The salad is from a bag and they throw in one or two tomato wedges, four or five onion slices and some croutons. Nothing special but it’s solid when it’s doused with enough Parmesan cheese. The breadsticks come out hot and buttery wrapped in a napkin. The main course is usually presented in oversized clean white plates.
Sit in the booths by the windows. Stay away from the tiled area in front or the carpeted area in back near the TVs, both areas can be loud.

Have you ever watched Chef Ramsey yell at a chef for microwaving everything? That is exactly what Michaelangelo’s does. Very low grade food with okay service. Décor is nothing great. Save yourself the cash and get a frozen meal and microwave it yourself.

Food was meh at best. They were trying to do the Olive Garden thing with all you can eat salad and breadsticks. The Salad had way too much dressing. The breadsticks were ok. Dinners appeared to be frozen and just heated up. The flavor was bland. I give it two stars because our waitress was very nice.
