Charles A.

Business Owner

Two islanders born in the late 60’s growing up with totally different visions and career paths. Andrea knew she wanted to be a chef and create magnificent flavors at a very early age and took on Culinary Arts at her first opportunity in high school.

Charles wanted to be an architect, study abroad and own the world’s most affluent Architect firm with offices in NY, Paris, Germany and his hometown. Things didn’t go as planned for Charles or Andrea, in search of a better life both ended up in Miami where the couple met in 1989, got married the same year and raised 3 wonderful children. Charles was already a prep cook, eager to learn and moving his way up the ladder at the time of meeting Andrea. With strong work ethics and determination, Charles Amherst became Executive Chef then regional Chef for one of America’s favorite high end/​fine dining establishment and contributed 25 solid years.
