Love this place, I could spend hours in here looking at everything that they have in the store. The only thing I wish that they had were scanners at the registers because the cashiers have to manually type in the price which could be very time consuming if you have a lot of merchandise. Don’t really see too many employees walking the floor to help either and if you see one they usually ignore you…

Decent selection, but employees are oftentimes clueless.
I recently went to this Hobby Lobby in search of some unfinished wood for an upcoming craft. Thankfully, there was a decent selection of wood and acrylic paints, but I felt I needed some kind of primer. I asked three employees where I might find some primer for unfinished wood and each of them was confused. On my own, I came across some acrylic gesso, which would have worked (based on my subsequent Internet research), but when I asked an employee that specific question, her response was, ‘I don’t even know what gesso is.‘
I don’t blame her; these products are very specialized for artists, hobbyists, etc. Nonetheless, one would think that Hobby Lobby would employ at least a few people knowledgeable about crafts to assist with these types of questions. Sadly, the three employees I met seemed quite disinterested in crafts altogether. They were nice and courteous, but the knowledge just wasn’t there. It felt like being at a Home Depot in which all of the employees were more into fashion than home improvement.
This store would really benefit from getting some experts, offering classes, and sharing the knowledge of crafts with its customers. After all, the more we learn, the more incentive we have to come back and buy again.
As for me, now that I have learned from Google that acrylic gesso will work for my project, I will simply order it from Amazon.

Found just about everything we were looking for, but also discovered some amazing obscurities like a rotary blade sharpener, leather-​bound drawing books with hand-​crafted paper + twig pencils? Giant synthetic flowers that actually feel real to the touch.

Hobby Lobby is a crafter’s haven and then some! This place is a HUGE one stop shop.
The first time I ever went to this Hobby Lobby, I went in to buy tape and left with over $ 100 worth of stuff lol. I’m not lying about how huge this place is and I could probably spend hours going through each section. You can find everything from paper goods, party supplies, painting, textiles, home décor, toys, and more. I love that they have a big holiday section with a great selection of Thanksgiving and Christmas décor.
Customer service at this specific location is pretty good. I frequent this place a lot and everyone is helpful and friendly. I’ve NEVER had a bad experience.
The only thing I wish they would do is get a better point of sale system. It looks like they have to punch in everything manually and they literally have a million different products in their store so sometimes the lines can get long due to that reason. I feel like it makes them less efficient than they could be.
Recommendations when shopping:
1. There are always different sales every week and they often rotate what’s on sale so check with the weekly ad for more savings.
2. They offer a 40% off coupon every week for one regular priced item which you can find on their online website and you can give the code to the cashier at checkout.

I usually enjoy coming to this store with my family we buy things all the time and enjoy the atmosphere most of the time … But today I had an odd experience with a cashier her name was Andrea .P. I was there with my sister and we were making separate transactions she took it upon herself to imply we were paying all together or trying to run a scam with our separate coupons just because we were together… to make a story short she made me feel like a criminal for buying a key chain and a small lion for my kid… they acted like I was trying to rob the place. Worst customer service ever. coupons are made for us to buy things and enjoy our experience not for you to cause a big deal on small purchases

I love this place! As an art enthusiast I like a store to have variety of art supplies. This store is huge and people are very helpful if you need to find something! Used a 40% discount that is on the mobile app. Have saved a bunch!

I love hobby lobby and I usually come here all the time. This was my first bad experience here. There’s some really sweet employees and there’s some who are grumpy. There’s a lady named Wendy who I tried asking a question last week and automatically she gives you an attitude. I just came by today and I had a price exchange and right when I I asked that lady another question she automatically gives you a mad face and with an attitude. Even the to the customer before me she had an attitude if we think an item is 50% off. Don’t tell us that it’s not by giving an attitude and telling the customers twice its not on sell. When it really was on sale and all you had to do was get someone to price check from the beginning! Also, she didn’t even say have a nice day to the customer before me and to me. The other employees seem happy compared to her. If you’re having a bad day don’t take it out on customers!

I love shopping at Hobby Lobby and this is an excellent location!
Not too full, no super long lines like at other locations.
Huge parking lot, great hours, though I do wish they were open on Sundays.
Usually most of the store is half off and if you wait a week they rotate and the other half off the store is on sale.
Half off makes the prices just right, I love all the furniture and décor items, I have outfitted 3 homes with hundreds off knobs from here, so many trips taken here, my husband hates it, so best to come alone or with other like minded females.
One of my favorite places to get unique items for the home.

This place is like Micheals but seems a little cheaper. I had to find a mask and stuff to decorate it with for a 6yr old first father daughter dance and quick. I found everything i was looking for plus more. Only problem they need more sales people on the floors

I used to only have a Target problem. Since discovering Hobby Lobby, I now also have a Hobby Lobby Problem ;) Can’t leave this place without wanting to start a new «project»
My only recommendation is for you to get here EARLY enough so you have time to check out the entire store. I am not sure if it is possible to check out the ENTIRE store because trust me, I’ve tried… but it’s really hard because they offer so much variety. it’s overwhelming for the eyes and the wallet, really :)

If I could give zero stars I would. This place has everything marked up so high its crazy. Then they occasionally «discount» it to a normal prce, making customers think they are getting a deal.
But my main complaint is with how long the check out lines are. Pull up a chair. Load up all three extended versions of The Lord of the Rings and if you’re lucky you’ll be seen by the time Frodo reaches Mount Doom. Actually, I just realized that the LOTR story is a metaphor for how long the lines are at Hobby Lobby. And its not just this location, its all Hobby Lobby’s. Got a return? Crank up all seven Harry Potters. The seriously need to do something with how insanely long and slow their lines are. A grocery store cashier can scan 75 items in a minute. Hobby Lobby, about one item in 75 minutes.
Never going back. Waited in long lines too many times.

I would give this store negative stars if they had. So it was Christmas time and I bought two items at the store for my cousins. One of my cousins liked the thing I’d bought which was a bracelet maker. She was excited to make bracelets herself. Then It happened that she couldn’t make it after hours, so I decided to take her to the store to return the item so that she could get something else. I bought that item with $ 18.99 plus tax, no sale, no discount for THAT ITEM. Then when we returned it, the casher told us that that was NOT the right price and then he called another lady to ask about the price. She came and she told us that the price was 12.99 with 30% off. Then she told the man to refund the item with the price they are selling, not the price I bought even though I have the original receipt, and then she told me that was NOT the original receipt. WTF!

This store has a lot of cool arts and crafts for anyone with any hobby. Some of the stuff they have I cannot find at other stores and they have some really cool items. the only thing I don’t like is the long wait in the lines due to manually entering every single items. It is very inconvenient especially when there’s tons of people. The prices are usually double that of a regular store hence why they always have their so called «sales» to make it seem like they are getting a good deal when actually they are just getting it for normal prices other stores would sell them for. They do however have some stuff that is of the same price or a little lower but that’s rare.

I love the store for its selection of many different items, I, however, dislike (very close to hate) the manager.
I came in on a weekday and was the second person in line out of ten. There was only register open and when I look around I saw the manager look over at how long the line was. Guess what he decided to do? Nothing. He continued talking to two employees, who were on the clock because they were sorting items, and acted as if it was okay. We were all very annoyed because we had been waiting at least ten minutes for the line to move.
What pissed me off was the lady who was in front of me, who happened to be an older Caucasian lady, needed help putting her purchases in her car so the cashier called the manager over and he went over to help her. Nope it didn’t bother him to tell his other employees to open another register or call for the backup register. The bald manager had the nerve to ignore everyone else when he heard people make comments. When it was my turn to pay the cashier didn’t even say sorry for the wait.
Horrible management.

This place is amazing, its just too big and they have too much stuff and although its a good thing, its also a bad thing! I want to buy the whole store. My fiancée and I have been buying stuff for the wedding and i seriously wish i had bottomless pockets of cash so i can buy the whole store. Be aware if the discounts you should be getting, they input them manually per item. When we walked out and i reviewed receipt they forgot to take off 50% off 3 items, we went back inside and they gave us refund, so just make sure all your discounts were applied. Cant wait to come back to get more stuff for our new place :)

It was my first time here, I came with my wife. Now, I’m a 33 year old male and I do have a crafty side. I even made our card box for our wedding reception, looked professional. Any ways, the wife and I saw some display wreaths. My wife has always wanted to make one, rustic looking. So I told her I can make one. So we picked out some burlap ribbon and wanted to get some flowers and other rustic items to put on it. I asked an employee (Roberta) where certain items were. She took me to every single isle that corresponded to what I was looking for. She was very informative about what the store had to offer. I was really impressed with her as an employee! I can say the same for another employee (Barb). She too, was very helpful. My hats off to you ladies, you made my first time visit a fantastic lasting impression. I will definitely be back!

This is the best hobby store on the planet!
By the name of the store, I assumed model car and airplane kits. Maybe they did carry those, but I didn’t bother to look. The store is gigantic. I passed it twice because I was looking for a little whole in the wall.
I came into Hobby Lobby only to see if they carried something particular I was looking for for a baby shower. Funny thing is I completely forgot what that particular something was, once the automatic gates opened up to Hobby Heaven (that is my new nickname for the store). I think I may have heard trumpets, as my first foot touched down.
They had EVERYTHING, especially for those DIYers for decorating your home, backyard, wedding, or any kind of party. I loved how many of the items were nicely organized by product, such as floral supplies, wedding accessories, fabric and ribbon, frames, art supplies, kid’s crafts, children’s room accessories, woodcrafts, party supplies, scrapbooking, garden, outdoor entertaining, etc. Much of the product was even broken down by color or theme and there were many staff members on the floor, ensuring the store kept clean and organized.
What was supposed to be a quick look turned into a 4-​hour adventure and over $ 100 out of my pocket. My fiancé even texted me to check if I was OK. I told him I had died and gone to Hobby Heaven!

Really great store! It is the arts and crafts person’s dream store and their significant other’s nightmare. You have all sorts of paper for the scrap-​booker and decoupager, you have canvas, paints, brushes, and easels, model airplanes, model crafts, wax for candles, molds, ready made candles, fabrics, sewing machines, etc. etc. They have random furniture and posters as well so sometimes you feel like you’re at a hybrid store of Home Goods/​Michaels/​Joanns.
If you are a spouse of an artsy person, do yourself a favor and don’t come along on this trip. The last time I went, a husband thought it was cute to put an overhead call for his wife like they do for your lost kids in a department store. Basically it sounded like this, «Belinda, if there is a Belinda Smith in the store your husband is waiting for you at Register 8. Again, if there is a Belinda Smith in the store, your husband is waiting for you at Register 8.» (names have been changed to protect the guilty). Needless to say, I’m sure someone ended up on the couch that week.

Michael’s meets Pier 1 Imports. Big. Attractive. Seductive.
I am not patient enough to be a craftsy kind of person, so I can easily walk by the long aisles of materials to make bird houses, party favors, fabrics, silk flower arrangements, knick knacks, and volumes of yarn for making animal themed baby hats and winter scarves. You’ll even find picture frames and furniture. They have it all, and more. The wall décor, on the other hand, I get a bit of a kick over, especially if there are signs with catchy sayings. They have lots.
And the coolest thing is, the décor collections are separated into themes. Like, sports, kiddie themes, kitchen, holiday and seasonal trappings, and so on. Even me, the uninspired, had to pause and look. And then I saw some guys in there. Whoa. Not your normal craft store. It seems they have cleverly attracted not the usual suspect.
So anyway, I was looking for toy animals. And they had them. A wonderful selection. I had already hit up two Walmarts, with some success, but this place had even more of the same good quality. I had a great time stocking up for my grandson’s upcoming 2^nd birthday.
And more impressive, I was able to find employees who could help me find what else I needed. I know. Shock.
I only wish they had a GPS system for finding stuff and getting out (there is some truth hidden in that statement).

The nice employee gals at this brand new Hobby Lobby informed me, it’s only been open two days. That explains the frenetic crazed throngs of women shopping here, doubling up shopping carts, blocking isles pretending they did not see me and not moving their carts to let me pass (don’t you hate that? Me too!!!). OK, there were some sales with the new store opening so you know how nutty some women get over sales. But, nice to check out a new craft store besides Michael’s.
OK, here is my professional shopping experience opinion:
The Pros:
Nice large store, about the same volume over-​all as Michael’s, with a bit of Wal Mart home décor thrown in. The staff was very nice because they have only been working here two days. A fairly good general craft and art etc selection (but not more than Michael’s)
The Cons:
Expensive! Wow that was disappointing. I buy scrapbook/​journaling/​art stuff and have shopped all the Michael’s in a 30 square mile area in the Inland Empire, and it looks like Hobby Lobby decided to tack on an extra 1 –to– 5 dollars for every item you can get for less at Michael’s.
Bummer!!!
Much like each Michael’s, they had a mix of the brands that are popular. Very few choices in actual journaling/​scrapbooks. Less choices, higher prices. I mean, for example, $ 3.99 for some string — Just cards with a little string wrapped around it to tie to tags. Wow. Steep. And $ 3.99 for some colored paper clips? I saw similar for $ 1.99 in the office supply area in the SAME STORE.
Ugh. Just higher priced than Michael’s on everything.
NO signs or isle numbers anywhere, so you have no clue where anything is. The staff is friendly and pointed me in the right direction, but once the «new store» wears off, there won’t be as many staff. That sucked. I do not want to hike around and around a big store to find my gimcracks. I already had to navigate the 91 fwy in hot afternoon traffic, I want to find my goodies right away.
So, check it out, it’s something new if you have never been, but take your cute crafting self over to Michael’s for a better selection and price.
