This is the place you want to go just to hang out and read some books if you’re waiting for someone. Anyways, clean place and lots of books and magazines. The only reason why I gave this place a 3 star rating was because of the lack of customer service I got from here while I was shopping for my brother-in-law’s birthday gift. The person I was talking to on the phone was real friendly and told me he’d hold a book for me which was great. BUT when I got there. the corners of the book were torn and I asked the cashier if I could get a new one. Mind you, he’s an old man with a sour attitude. If you don’t mind his sourness, then that’s fine. But I really didn’t like how he was treating me. He rolled his eyes at me and told me that he doesn’t know if they had another book that’s in mint condition. I mean. who does that?! The two women at the customer service area were chatting with each other. I asked them if there was another book that hadn’t look like it’s been beaten to death. The woman on the right just stared at me like I was weird and the woman on the left smiled at me and found a book that looked great. wasn’t in mint condition but looked better than the rest of them. Tip: If you’re going to Starbucks inside Barnes and Noble: Do not get their cheesecakes. I had a terrible cheesecake and they wouldn’t refund my cheesecake for me! It was spoiled! How can they sell spoiled baked goods?

A WELCOMEDBREAK This store is nicely located smack dab in the middle of The Forum and is a great respite for the shopping weary. Today as it began to rain and I started to feel tired from all of the shopping, this was a great place to go for respite. I was able to relax for a while and read a couple of magazines without being bothered. Although the store was busy, it was not disruptive. I was really shocked to see that this store had a complete music area, not just an aisle but a full separated area with a variety of different artists and genres. I almost forgot that they carry games here but they do and seemed to have a very nice and unique selection. Many of these games will not be found in your local discount store. Okay, I’ll be back!

This is a great location. They carry everything that you would expect from a B&N store. I do not know this for a fact but this store seems like a flagship store. Expect to find things here that you cannot find at other locations.

They have books, coffee, and storytime at this location. It is nice to come here for a coffee and book browsing after dining in or around the Forum.

The only one closet to where I live, located in the Forum. Parking can be a pain in the butt, but there are back parking lots if you can’t find any in the front. The Starbucks inside is quaint. Accurate drinks to a real Starbucks but they are not part of the chain. Tried to use my Starbucks card and I couldn’t because they only serve their coffee. However, this Barnes & Nobles is huge. Can find almost every book and they have a huge section of toys & such for kids. My little pet peeve here is parents who do not keep an eye on their kids here. Twice, I had to tell a kid to stop pushing my son(who is 2 and small) over the train set they provide. The checkout line is so long… only one person cashiering. Twice he called«quietly» for someone to help out. No one heard him. Finally after waiting 5 more minutes, someone from the nook area finally notices a long line of people and comes to the«rescue». Poor customer service in my books. But, I enjoy coming here to pick out books the old fashioned way.

I like this store. They seem to have everything. The starbucks inside has really friendly folks. A fresh batch of croiisant came out as I was putting in my drink order and she was nice enough to bring it to my attention. Needless to say, I got 2 of them. This store even has music and movies in the back. In real CD’s. They also have toys. Puzzles, boardgames, yugioh, magic cards and I bought 2 Gundam figures. Who’d thot you can find Japanese mech robos for sale in a book store. I had a very eager and kinda pushy check out lady. Tried to push the BN membership on me.

This Barnes and Nobles is big, well stocked and has a nice café. This is my complaint. They have well advertised children’s activities. But they seriously need to spend a little time and money organizing them. I took my granddaughter to the Frozen activity yesterday. Great concept, cute activities but complete lack of organization and way too many children for the space they had. I don’t think it would cost B & N too much to hire an experienced storyteller or Pre School or Kindergarten teacher who could make this a much more organized and fun activity .No one is faulting the employees… this is not their area of expertise. But honestly, I will never take the grandchildren back for one of these and if I were just a regular patron coming in during this time I would leave. I have been to several of these and have never seen a successful one at this store.

The entire store was great, but the service in the café was really amazing. The cashier was very understanding of how I had never really been to a coffee shop and helped me find the perfect drink. Besides this they had my order out in a friendly and efficient manner. The dinning area was very clean, and another cashier was asking customers if they could take their dishes for them so that they would not have to get up to clear more space for books on their tables. Truly remarkable service!

My how Barnes & Noble has fallen… Its sad… I used to be an immense fan of B&N but this store /location is just plain not good. The store is cluttered and not very clean. The staff is unfriendly to the point of being rude. Parking is a pain. Prices are MUCH higher than what you can find for the exact same items online. Check out lines are always long. If this location is representative of Barnes and Noble brick and mortar stores on the whole then the chain is not long for this earth…

One of the few Barnes and Noble Bookstores left. Very clean store and parking is limited since it’s located within The Forum. Wide selection of books for all ages. *TIPPER* This one has a Starbucks café inside with FREE Wi-Fi. It has plenty of tables to sit and study. The only thing is that they DONOT have any OUTLETS what-so-ever. So make sure you plan accordingly by charging your laptops or like me, go elsewhere because my laptop dies within 30 minutes.

This is the normal location i always tend to choose. A great location to get my classwork done, but service was somewhat lacking. I went to buy a gift for one of my friends and there was an extremely rude older woman that checked me out. After i made the purchase she basically tossed my change in my hand, didn’t bother to put my items in a bag and walked off without another word. I think from now on i’m going to stick to other book stores where the employees aren’t so rude to their paying customers.

Bookstores are a dying breed, so let us enjoy them while they are here. Barnes & Noble is a big-box book retailer, so it is not like we are talking about the neighborhood bookstore, but there is still something comforting about being here. You are surrounded by books, which our great-grandchildren will not even recognized, which makes you feel like you are wrapped in knowledge and adventures(between non-fiction and fiction). The area in the middle, where coffee, desserts, and some other book café-type fare are served, is usually busy with people who are studying or just looking for a place to catch up with some friends. I give this place 5 stars because the B&N that was on Pleasant Hill closed, so this is the closest one I have to me. I know that it won’t last forever, but I will enjoy B&N while it’s here.

I remember the word formatted with dead trees. I used to read them that way before the advent of Kindle. Trying to find an excuse to come here is difficult. The location always feels«crowded» — I’m not sure whether it’s because they stationed the Starbucks in the middle of the store(as opposed to other locations which place it to the side) or if it’s because their lack of business means fewer employees to straighten up – but I’m never«happy» to come to this B&N.

Books are awesome! Reading is awesome! So, Barnes and Noble is awesome. But, this B & N is really busy. Almost too busy if you ask me. They do have a great selection of books and large comfy chairs to read in. This would be a great place to browse the best sellers or meet friends for coffee. I prefer Borders, but this B & N is a decent alternative.
