Great service-Nice and friendly waiter/waitress during both occasions I’ve had dinner. Clean restaurant. Full bar and absolutely fantastic food.

Located off of jimmy carter in a small plaza right behind Wells Fargo. Majority of the menu is in Spanish so if you don’t the basic, Google is your friend! I. FOOD Huachinango Frito(Red Snapper Fried) — the snapper was pack with savory flavors with a side of mix rice, garlic bread, a salad(lettuce, cucumber, onions, and tomato), and sweet potato fries. All these combination goes well together. This dish also comes with some chips and a taco. I had a similar yummy dish in Costa Rica and it was part of their catch of the day menu!(Seriously, the restaurant was on a beach and they reel it in as we were sitting down)* II. SERVICE I order to-go but the server was friendly. As I was waiting to be rung out, they were helpful to those who dine it. III. ATMOSPHERE/DECOR Looks can be deceiving! I assume this restaurant would be kind of run down due so the over advertising banners on the window screen of the building but when I waked inside, it was clean with modern décor. There was a Spanish band playing when I arrive which made me want to change my mind and dine in and order a drink! IV. PRICES I found this place to be a good price for what you paid for! $ 5 – 20, if your not ordering off the market price menu! My total came out to be 18 bucks which fed me and my boyfriend. V. OVERALL I found my new spot and it’s only 5 minutes away from my house. I would come back again to try out their whole menu! Next time I will dine in and enjoy myself a piña colada serve in a pineapple.

This was a diamond in the ruff so to speak. We just so happend to stumble upon this spot, and boy was I happy. Turned date night into a culinary cultural experience. Authentic fresh seafood and grate customer service! The drinks could be a tad stronger, but overall great place!

TL;DR — Good food okay price. Try the shrimp/prawn. Mariscos La Riviera Nayarit was definitely one of a kind restaurant that I have tried. Mrs and I came here with other couple friends and we ordered red snapper, nayarit styled shrimp/prawn, and piña colada. Pina Colada comes out in an actual pineapple and drink itself tastes pretty nice. Little weak for my taste, but wife liked it a lot. Red snappers portion was pretty big and came out with mixed rice. Nothing particularly outstanding. Nayarit shrimp/prawn was what I enjoyed the most. Sauce was packed with flavor and the portion was huge. Only thing I disliked was the fact that prawns were bit overcooked. Try the dishes with habanero salsa on the side for extra kick to the flavor.

What a surprise gem. I pass by this place all the time and stopped by for a spur of the moment dinner with a friend. The interior is much larger on the inside than it looks from the outside and it had good décor. The food was just average for me. I had some spicy shrimp dish and it was ok, but I wouldn’t get it again. My friend had a snapper thing which was ok but I think he was a little disappointed. The drinks were good and upon entry that evening and realizing it was out first time(and we were the only customers) the staff have us free ceviche! Customer service was good all around and everyone was really friendly although we had somewhat of a difficult time trying to get explaination of what some of the menu items were.

I really like this place! I can’t think of anything I wasn’t fond of, therefore I’m giving this a 5 star rating. 1. The menu is all in Spanish! There are quite a few pictures but not every dish has a photo so the waitress being able to explain is more than helpful. 2. They have this piña colada in a real pineapple that is to die for… ah may zing! It’s $ 13 and it sneaks up on you. It’s extremely large as well. I walked out with mine and finished it at home. 3. I originally ordered the fried red snapper but once I tasted another dish I traded! It isnt like most of the other Mexican restaurants I’ve been to before. There isn’t any queso and a lot of the dishes are seafood related but I’ll definitely be back to try something else and get another pineapple filled piña!
