I moved here after graduating to be close to a job I had in Tucker. I wasn’t familiar with Atlanta and wanted to play it safe for my first apartment. I had a great experience with Oakwood Vista. The staff are all very friendly and helpful. The apartments are at a great price for being not too far from the city. If you keep driving past Oakwood Vista on Jimmy Carter it does get sketchy in some parts, but the complex is safe. I lived on the first floor right by the parking lot and never had issues. There are a lot of families that live here and the laundry gets a little dirty, but that didn’t bother me too much. I ended up moving closer to the city last month just to be closer to things, but would reccomend these apartments!

Do not put in a work order here unless you plan on staying in your apartment all week. They demand to have a copy of apartment keys and be prepared to feel violated. Staff will come and go in your apartment as they please. They don’t knock or call. Have had to scrub dog poop out of carpet and I don’t have a dog. Items in my apartment have turned up missing. I have had the door pushed in on me when I wasn’t wearing anything. Office was not very helpful in solving this. They said sorry this happened but it continues. They refuse to give exact times for anything. They do fire inspections very often.(More then the twice a year that they claim).

I have been living here for 2 years. I must admit it has been a pleasant experience. Maintenance is always great and on time. The property is really clean and the office staff has been great. The rent is more than resonable for the location and quality of the apartment. Overall, this has been an awesome experience I have referred several friends to move here.

I moved to GA from SC in mid-2008. I picked up a job located in Tucker, GA. Before moving here, I only had a weekend to look for a place to live. I really wanted to just be close to my job, so I searched all around the Tucker area and even some apartments towards the Stone Mountain area. Before I came to GA to find a place to live, I, of course, went online to find all the places worth hitting. I found some of the right price ranged apartments with nice pictures and felt pretty optimistic about seeing them. From all around Tucker — east of 285 and up to 85 — I was being disappointed. The pictures of all the places I found, were of course deceiving. However, as I was driving up Jimmy Carter from Tucker to go to my last option, I saw a sign for Oakwood Vista. It looked nice, so I stopped in on the whim. The management here was very friendly and really made me feel like this was the place. I lived at Oakwood Vista for two years and was very satisfied with the service from the management. Since I moved in, the management had changed, but the few encounters I had with new management was great. I received my full deposit when I moved out! =) One thing that did happen while I lived there involved my car getting scratched though. Each week(it happened to me on a Friday), some contractors come in and do yard-type work. They cut grass, trim bushes, blow leaves, etc. I think one of the contractors had scratched my car with a piece of equipment as he walked by. I was parked in a spot near one of the wheelchair accessible sidewalk ramps. I definitely regret parking there, but at least the scratch came out only costing me $ 60. I don’t have proof that they did it, but just be careful not to get in the land workers way. The rent here is very reasonable and I would highly recommend it for anyone working in the Tucker area or even if you are working to the east of it towards Lilburn. If you travel north on this location up Jimmy Carter, it is not nearly as nice, but it’s located on the very south end of Jimmy Carter. It’s actually listed as a Norcross residence, but if you Google maps it, Google will think it’s in Tucker. The property management here also threw their own events pretty often. They often offered free snacks, drinks, and sometimes even wine events. I felt like my apartment building was very clean and that the groundskeeper did a great job keeping the property clean. Overall, I considered it a great place to live.
