I’m soo upset at this place… Unilocal is advertising that the spot was open but when a coworker and myself arrived, it was closed. Heartbreaking. This would have been my first time eating there and I was tricked. My coworker was able to open the door and walk in the place which was def odd… I would say that I’ll find another location but I’m so disappointed that I’ll find me another seafood spot to indulge in …

Wow, this place has really gone down hill! First, they completely eliminated the Vietnamese menu. Boo. My partner ordered the 12 shrimp platter, expecting the fried shrimp he had gotten on previous visits. What he got was boiled shrimp approximately half of which had not been deveined. They offered to redo his order with fried shrimp, but by this time we had already waited an extra 10 minutes for our food because they ignored our request to leave off the Cajun seasoning from our potatoes and corn the first time around. My crawfish PO-boy was dry and tasteless. I’m pretty sure we won’t be back.

Called this place at 9:30p and asked what time do the close. I was told«between 10:30p and 11p». I arrived at 9:55p and was told«he said we closed already, and he just changed the hours… we close at 10:00p». Turned us away. Ok.

Something seemed amiss when we pulled in front of the restaurant. There was no activity going on and it appeared we were on the set of The Walking Dead. It quickly got worse. The door was mysteriously propped open with a rock. «In this heat?», I thought to myself. On the interior door was clearly posted they were no longer accepting the Scoutmob deals. Bummer, right? Well, heck. We were already there and finding no zombies defending the place, we decided to enter. The young lady that sat us greeted us warmly and brought our drinks quickly. Looking at the menu, we began to feel uneasy. The prices were really cheap. While Clark Howard may love the $ 1.50 hot dogs at Costco, I’ve always felt that cheap prices mean cheap food and life is far too short to eat cheap food. I was in the Marine Corps for four years, so I’ve had a lifetime’s full of crappy food. We decided to roll the dice anyway(the sacrifices we food critics make for our readers) and at least give it a shot. Melanie ordered the Fried Shrimp with fries and hush puppies while I chose the Grilled Shrimp and Catfish with fries and hush puppies. I have to say that I was surprised. The grilled flavor was very pleasant and Melanie ate all of her shrimp, which she said has no seasoning at all. While it wasn’t horrible, The Boiling Crab Market failed to impress either one of us. Its not bad for cheap food but it really didn’t hit the spot I was aiming for. Its average, which is a lot better than we expected but unless you’re really looking for a bargain, we think you’re better off passing on The Boiling Crab Market.

We literally just ate here. Service was okay. Prompt but not overly friendly. The crab legs were literally so good. I got a pound for &11.99. The kids had wings and fries and the wings were good. The fries were very well seasoned. Hubby had the fried seafood combo # 1. It was pretty good too. Loved the hush puppies! For a crab craving you can’t go wrong with this place. The restaurant was empty though. We will be back!

Thursday night specials: $ 0.50 wings, min. 10 per order, 50% off soft drinks, $ 7.99/lb crawfish, $ 11.99/lb snow crab legs, and they also had a special on the gumbo. I got Cajun wings, gumbo, and snow crab. All delicious. Will definitely go back.

We went to The Boiling Crab for the first time using a Scoutmob deal. This location gets a lot of traffic so the placement is great. I ordered the Fish and Shrimp Combo and so did my husband. We just varied our side items. The food was hot, fresh and tasty. The service was timely but lackluster. We were greeted and seated. We ordered and that was it. The food was good based on our selection. I look forward to coming back to get the seafood fix and hopefully the word will get out that they are there. It’s nice having a seafood spot in the immediate area. I forgot to mention they also have a standalone menu of Phở items.

I went here tonight for the first time and it was just ok. I got the boil and it came with more than enough food for the price. Nice establishment and our waitress was nice. The food just wasn’t that good. Compared to other places I’ve been. There really wasn’t any seasoning and you can taste the water it was boiled in. I’ll pass on coming here again.

My boyfriend and I went here using a Scoutmob coupon. It’s in the shopping center on Jimmy Carter with the LA Fitness. The décor is ok and the place looks fairly clean. We ordered the feast for 2(Forgot the name), with the spicy Cajun seasoning. It did not take long to come out, but some parts were a little cold. Could be that the food is frozen and thawed. Also, it was not spicy at all. Perhaps next time we need to ask for more spice. Otherwise, the food was good and it was more than enough for 2 people, and my boyfriend can eat a lot. It’s a good value, even paying full price. I would probably go back and split the feast for 1 with a friend.

Good value. Low quality not much taste. Not sure fish was fresh. Seemed like it was pre-cooked. Probably would not return.

Totally over rated. The calimari was from frozen rings and fried too hard. The food was well prepared but bland. I was excited to try it after reading the other reviews but this was a total disappointment. Don’t plan on going back.

More like 2.5 stars really … I don’t know what I missed but I’m not near as impressed as you other people are with«Boiling Crab» …(particularly the dude who thought it was appropriate to post a pic of his noggin to this Unilocal page. Relevant?) This location was originally a(much-Yelper-reviled) «Saigon Café» … the interior has not changed all that much. They added a few nautical touches but that’s about it. Stopped in for a recent Saturday lunch and the only other table was just leaving. So we were about the only patrons in here until another table arrived(just about the time that we were leaving. Trend?) Service was«ok» if not overly attentive … We decided to try the Gumbo and chowder as starters. Both were merely ok. The gumbo really cried out for some hot sauce because the flavor was somewhat bland. We both chose po-boy sandwiches as an entrée. One with fried whiting and the other with fried oysters. The whiting was the real winner here. You are served several large pieces of the fish on a fresh roll. The oysters themselves seemed day-old, or frozen or … something. Definitely not fresh. The fries were oddly gummy(!), like they were not cooked all the way through properly. Maybe«Boiling Crab» should consider a better brand of fries for them to use because I doubt these are«hand-cut.» Not a fan of crab legs or «boils» really so not sure how often Im going to be back… but all of you folks that have liked this place, make sure you continue to patronize them… it’s tough to get good seafood in the AtL so who knows? «Boiling Crab» is still new so maybe it will get better. If you want to try this place out, it is just west of the heavily-traveled intersection of Jimmy Carter Blvd. and Peachtree Industrial Blvd… you will find it in a decaying strip center anchored by an LA Fitness and fronted by a Waffle House in the parking lot. The Crab is behind the waffle house.

We Loved the Food!, Was very much satisfied with the portion size and the variety of seafood that was seasoned very well! Will most definitely be back for sure!

Woah! Seafood places should beware The Boiling Crab Market is a tough competitor. It has nice sleek dine in eatery, four different TV’s, with lots of booth. You can definitely take someone here for a romantic date or watch a few sports with a couple of friends. The staffs are friendly and my food came out pretty quick. I ordered the fried catfish and shrimp which was lightly battered and season good. The seafood gumbo is a must try. It was warm, frothy, has lots of shrimp, rice, okra. It’s so good im thinking about coming here again.

Came across scout mob discount so we decided to check this place out. We ordered Boil combo 2 with garlic butter and spicy cajun. It was a lot of food for both of us. Combo comes with snow crabs, shrimps, mussels, crawfish, scallops, potato, corn and broccoli. Unfortunately the seafood was mostly frozen and did not have a lot of flavor to it. Nice people but they were overwhelmed by the amount of guests on Friday night so we did not get a lot of attention. We did not try other items so cannot comment on them. Bathrooms were cleaned with daily cleaning checklist :)

Six of my friends and I walked in craving some seafood. The manager recommended we try ordering 2 of the boiler combo for 2. It was supposed to be for four people but the SEVEN of us couldn’t even finish it and had to take a box to go! You get so much awesome seafood for what you pay for!!! We also ordered the beer tower which was awesome! It keeps the beer cold and fresh! Definitely have to try the fish and shrimp po boy guys! Super flavorful and I normally don’t even like fish. The server was adamant about me trying the po boy and you definitely don’t taste the fishy smell/taste but you taste the flavor and texture of the fish. It definitely changed my mind about fish sandwiches. Highly recommend this place!

I had a craving for crawfish and snow crab legs, and both were just OK. The texture on the crawfish meat makes me think they boil in large batches and simply reheat later. Not impressed. My personal opinion is the Blazin Cajun really tops this place and is maybe 12 minutes away. I did like being able to watch the live games on the tvs though. That was a plus.

I went to the boiling crab market for take out with my boyfriend. I ordered combo #1, which included 2-piece whiting(4 different fish options), 4 shrimp, and choice of two sides in which I got cole slaw and broccoli. My boyfriend ordered the shrimp po-boy and fries. The shrimp po-boy he loved. They gave him 8 shrimp in his sandwich. It came with tomato, lettuce, mayo, and a red sauce. The fries was topped with red seasoning. The were fried very well. My meal was good, minus one piece of fish that was mushy and gross. It seemed as if it was soaking in the oil too long. I was very disappointed because the other piece of fish was very tasty, left me wanting more. This inhibited me from giving this place 4 stars. The shrimp were a nice size and fried well. My side were good. The coleslaw was delicious and the broccoli was fresh with a slight crunch.

Too bad I live in Maryland because if I was still living in Georgia, my husband and I would go here all the time. It’s a sit down restaurant that is very cozy and nice. You can also pick up some food to-go if you want. The staff are extremely friendly. My husband, mother, and I went to eat lunch and we were seated right away by a nice gentleman. Our waitress was very friendly and was focused on our needs. My husband loves crawfish and we were so surprised to see each and every one of them were so big. I sent a picture to our friend and he said they look like mini lobsters. The seasoning of the crawfish was perfect. It was so fresh, hot and juicy. You can’t just eat one because they’re so addicting. I absolutely love the corn with it. You can’t have crawfish without corn and potatoes. My mom doesn’t eat much Crawfish so I ordered her a white fish po boy sandwich. It was so big that I had to share the other half with her. My mom is usually a picky eater when it comes to American food but she loved the poboy. We even ordered an extra one to-go. My mouth is still watering thinking about the crawfish, poboy sandwich, and corn. I want to go back to Georgia already to fulfill my cravings. I highly recommend this restaurant so please try it out. You won’t be disappointed because it is worth it!

It opened around 3⁄23. Basically, it’s a cajun seafood restaurant. You are expected to spend $ 10+ for food, but boy, they are so good. I accidentally walked in, as I saw a grand opening banner in that plaza. Not sure it’s the same«the boiling Crab» in Cali, which people literally line up for an hour to get in. I ordered shrimp po-boy as a to-go order, and it came out in 5 minutes. Shrimps are tender and crispy, while the sauce is spicy! If I close my eyes, it makes me feel the time that I went back to New Orleans. Even french fries are more than average without ketchup. Definitely will come back!
