Our community YMCA offers, childcare programs, swim team opportunities, swim lessons, gynmastics, youth and adult basketball, adult volleyball, computer classes, cooking classes, birthday parties, afterschool care, teen club, group exercise classes, book club, and so much more!

Our facility features, indoor pool, sauna, steam room, family locker rooms, senior library, cardio equipment, cycling studio, cross fit classes, Zumba, bootcamp, personal training, Coach Approach, Diabetes Prevention classes, yoga and a variety of other amenities!

We also offer financial assistance for all of our programs.

History

Established in 1844.

The Robert D. Fowler Y has a been a community hub located in Peachtree Corners since the early 1990’s. We offer several amenities for our members including indoor pool, suana, steam room, full schedule of toddler, youth, and adult group exercise classes, cycling studio, cardiovascular equipment, free weight area, childwatch, family dressing rooms and so much more.

Healthy living starts here at the Y! We have several youth and adult programs that are engaging for the entire family including: swim lessons, swim team, soccer, flag football, basketball, cheerleading, gymastics, karate, adult basketball and adult volleyball. We also have a senior center that offers a variety of senior programming and our facility has Wi-​fi!

You belong at the Robert D. Family YMCA where you can workout and hang out with your friends and our friendly staff. We can’t wait to see you here!

Probably the worst experience of my life. Lady at front desk was absolutely awful. She wouldn’t let me ball and we walked all the way from Cumming GA for this ridiculous experience. DON’T GO!!! I wish they had a 0 star option

I’ve been a member of YMCA for three years. I love their fitlinxx program that logs your workout and your weight machine sections. It helps me reach my goals in toning up. It’s included in the membership. Melinda, one of the trainers, is super friendly and helpful in assisting me in learning how to use the weight machines. The offer a wide range of classes including body pump and yoga classes. The gym is never packed, there are always cardio and weight machines available. I’ve been a member at lifetime and LA fitness but I love the atmosphere of YMCA, the staff, not having to wait for machines, the fitlinxx program, and the wide range of classes offered here better.

I have only been a member of this YMCA for about a month, but so far, I have enjoyed it immensely. I have never had to wait for cardio equipment, and I love using the elliptical machines and arc trainers. Childcare has been excellent — my three year-​old son never wants to leave. I have enjoyed the yoga and body pump classes, and I look forward to trying group cycling. We are also looking forward to getting our son involved in some sports and swim programs.
We are new to the community, and we feel like being a part of the Y is a great way to plug in and meet our neighbors.
Facilities are convenient and clean, and it is easy to get a great workout when you need it.

I’ve been a member of this Y off and on for over 20yrs. The facilities are good but the best part is how friendly the staff is. From the front desk folks, to the trainers to the class instructors, I’ve always found everyone to be friendly and genuinely interested in helping you tailor an exercise program to your own needs.
If you’re looking for a good reasonably priced place to work out, you can’t go wrong with the «Y»

I’ve been going to this Y for a few weeks on a family/​guest membership while I am in town. It had been years since I’d been to a YMCA, and I’m really impressed. I usually use a treadmill, elliptical or bike, and they are modern and in good working order. There’s a handy system to sign up for time on the popular machines, though I haven’t had trouble getting on one. I usually go during the day, and that might help. The exercise machines are modern as well. They can get crowded on weekends, but not too bad. I haven’t used the free-​weights. The stretching/​exercise ball/​floor exercise area could be a little bigger, but it’s not too hard to wait if there’s no space.
I’ve also done several yoga classes. They are fun, not too difficult for a novice. I think there’s an intermediate one for those more stretchy than myself. There are lots of other classes for people who enjoy group stuff: Zumba, Pilates, etc. I haven’t used the pool yet, but it looks clean and inviting. The changing rooms are basic and have lockers. There’s a kiddie area with supervision for your toddlers. I don’t have any, so not sure how it works, but from outside the window, the kids seem to be having fun in there. There are some tables outside the pool areas to work, chat and socialize. They also have free WiFi!

I love the Y! It’s a family-​friendly place to exercise unlike the other local gyms. I love the pool, steam room, sauna, and jacuzzi. One side of the pool has a graduated entry with rails. It’s perfect for my toddler to play. The best part about the pool is that it’s indoor. I don’t have to hassle with sunscreen.
The machines are great. I have to agree with the other reviewer about the TV’s. It seems like some of them just don’t work every time I go in. There is a board that you can put in requests for them to fix. I hope they really take care of them.

This is a great YMCA. It has all the required cardio, free weights and machines with the addition of steam room, sauna, pool, hot tub, running track. It seems to have less equipment then other Y’s, and the free weight area is a little tight. Locker rooms are clean with private showers. Overall a good gym with good equipment and staff.

I’ve enjoyed my time at this Y — the staff is friendly, little to no wait for machines and the facility is clean. My frustration lies with the horrendous tv screens on the cardio machines. The TV reception is downright unacceptable, especially given the monthly price of membership. I’ve been patient — they have been broken for over a year — but my patience has run out and it’s time for a new gym.

This is the Y closest to my work, so I alternate between here and the one on Ashford Dunwwody (by my house).
First, I love the Y. My boyfriend and I splt the membership costs and I love the access to a pool and the sauna/​hot tub/​steam room. The people at this location are fantastic. Friendly, helpful, and they always have a smile at the front desk.
Unfortunately, it seems the North Suburbs, yuppie, entitled mommy-​n-​me clubs periodically take over the common areas and locker rooms. I’m not a big fan of children, but I understand the Y is family focused. However, I think it is incredibly rude to allow your 8 wet, loud, screaming chlidren to run around the hallways while you discuss how angry you are at your daughter’s girl scout leader (seriously). Also, the perpetual habit of bringing your older son into the women’s locker room is highly inappropriate. We get naked in there, dangit. If your child can dress himself, point, speak, and goes to school… do NOT bring him into the women’s locker room. There are family locker rooms literally 10 feet away. This alone motivates me to drive south a bit and go to the other Y.
Also, mild irritation at the high school boys who take over the free weights for extended periods of time. They act like bratty teenagers, but they can be avoided.
All in all, I prefer the other YMCAs (Ashford dunwoody and Webb Bridge). But the staff here is fantastic, so I can’t be too irritated. I just wish the staff would impose a few manners on these ridiculous women who think everyone should find their children adorable.

Still love it. When my membership lapsed because I switched age groups, the membership director gave me a guest pass. She even told me about the scholarships I could apply for so I could still keep coming and not take the hit of the increased rate just because I went from 24 to 25. She was very understanding about having trouble getting my tax forms together and told me to turn in the paperwork when I had it. With consideration and service like that, why bother to try out other gyms?
