I had an older HLN 5000 series Samsung Hi Definition TV that a neighbor was giving away because the image was fuzzy. I called around 3 other stores and they told me that they would have a difficult time finding parts for it (2005). I called Boone’s and Bill was able to tell me what was wrong with the TV by my description. He charges 60 dollars to trouble shoot LCD/​PLASMA TVs. He was up front with the estimate. I work until 6pm weekdays and he was nice enough to meet me at 7pm to drop it off. It only took 4 days and he even let me pick it up after hours on a Saturday to pick it up. It cost me about 200 dollars total to fix and I thought it was worth it rather than buy another TV. He has a lot of TVs laying around that he keeps for parts and I really get the feeling he enjoys tinkering with electronics and can fix anything.

This is a another great, hidden shop in Norfolk. The gentleman that owns and runs this shop is extremely friendly. I stopped in looking for some parts and he pointed me in the right direction to find what I needed. We ended up chatting for a while about antique radios. Although this is a TV repair shop, he also specializes in the restoration of antique radios.
He has a pretty exstensive collection of radios in his shop and if you happen to be a collector of antique radios or need one restored, this is the man you need to call.
