Business Owner

John O Ashby, DDS MS was born and raised in Oklahoma. While at the University of Oklahoma, he found two great passions — his wife, Rachel, a psychology graduate student originally from Iowa, and dentistry. He lucked into both, and they continue to bless his life. From Oklahoma, Dr. Ashby and Rachel moved to St. Louis so he could study orthodontics. Dr. Ashby discovered his love for orthodontics and the challenges it presented.

After working for a few years in St. Louis following residency, the Ashby family was drawn to the Tidewater area for a number of reasons: Rachel’s sister and best friend, live nearby, the weather is fantastic, and Dr. Owens’ honesty, kindness, and practice philosophy were a great «fit» for Dr. Ashby. Dr. Ashby stays busy with work, family, and church. He maintains active membership in the American Dental Association and American Association of Orthodontists, as well as serving on the craniofacial anomalies team at Children’s Hospital of the King’s Daughters.
