Park’s Taekwondo Academy has been teaching the Hampton Roads area Taekwondo for over 35 years in order to discipline the mind, body, and spirit. We have the most experienced instructors in the area as each and every class is taught by founder Grand Master Chan Hak Park or his son Master Charles Park.

Park’s Taekwondo Academy has classes for students of all ages and ability, male or female, day and night. We also offer private lessons and training sessions as well.

Park’s Taekwondo Academy’s competition team, Team Park Sport Taekwondo, is one of the elite grass-​root programs in the country. We are home to 25 National Championship Titles since 2005 and have placed multiple athletes on US National Teams.

We offer a more traditional-​style teaching of Taekwondo, the way it was intended to be taught. A structured disciplined setting allows for the best learning environment for each and every student. You will EARN your belt here. Nothing is given to the students.

History

Established in 1977.

Grand Master Chan Hak Park has been teaching the Hampton Roads Area Taekwondo for over 35 years. His son, Master Charles Park has been training in the martial art for over 30 years and has been teaching at the school for over 20 years.

Grand Master Chan Hak Park:

* 9^th Degree Black Belt

*Two time Virginia State Taekwondo President (1^st&9^th)

* Former USA National Team Coach (1980 AAU)

* Former Head of National U.S. Demonstration Team

* Certified to instruct taekwondo globally by the World Taekwondo Federation

* Served in Vietnam as a member of the Korean R.O.K. Marines

* Taught hand-​to-​hand combat to Green Berets in Panama (1981)
