Selden Optometry brings the optical stylings of Europe to Downtown Norfolk. Our unique eyewear caters to those who want their eyewear to go beyond functionality. Distinctive brands such as Anne et Valentin, Lafont, Face a Face, Theo and Oliver Peoples compose our fabulous frame collection.
Personalized, non-rushed eye care is our mode of action. You are greeted with a smile and often by name. Wait time for Dr. Wallach is either nonexistent or very brief. Forms are only filled upon your initial visit, and those are short and online. Dr. Wallach spends the entire eye exam with you. There is No Puff of Air! Our opticians, Valerie Brown and Chuck Rutter, honestly assist you in choosing your eyeglasses.
History
Established in 1996.
Selden Optometry began as an optical boutique in the Selden Arcade in downtown Norfolk. It quickly built a reputation for the most hip, funky glasses in the area. In 2004, Dr. Diane Wallach became the owner and optometrist at Selden Optometry. She was able to transform the office into a comprehensive optometry office, offering full eye exams, contact lens fittings, and emergency, red eye treatment. Dr. Wallach has maintained and expanded upon the unique and rich glasses collection at Selden Optometry. Maui Jim, Prodesign, Anne et Valentin, Lafont, Face a Face, Oliver Peoples, Eyephorics are just a few of the spectacular spectacles displayed. Chuck Rutter and Valerie Brown are certified opticians experienced in choosing the right frame for your personality, face and prescription.
