$ 85 to do a diagnostic test? That’s ridiculous. All they have to do is plug in a machine and read it. Takes about 5 minutes total. That isn’t with any actual work done. There are plenty of other places to take your car in Norman. Don’t go here!

I have to say this place is awesome. That guys kept me informed of the status of my tube up and oil change. Never once tried to upsell me something I didn’t need. Gave me advice for future work. And over all were super friendly. They have a code of ethics on the wall that they abided by to the T. I have and will continue to recommend this place.

I wouldn’t take my car here… They charge $ 85 diagnostic check but don’t include the $ 85 if you choose to get whatever they find fixed its that price… plus the $ 85!!! What??? I said” no, gonna have to pass“as the 3 of them looked befuddled that I declined. I’m not your sucker today boys, sorry!

Amazing service! The first time I visited I received a hand-​written note afterwards. During one of my following visits, they correctly diagnosed a minor issue. Another company falsely told us it was a very expensive repair job. I highly recommend.

Great service and a great price… I needed a oil change and rear differential service. I took my truck to the dealer first and then called Kwik Kar. They could get me in immediately instead of the taking the entire day at the dealer. Then, saved me $ 100. That is the reason why I’ll keep coming back.

Apparently the loyal business of a large segment of Norman wasn’t enough. On my last (and I mean LAST) visit I experienced the graft of what must be a professional Upseller. I said no and he still did it. $ 40 oil change cost me $ 100 dollars.
I’ve been a customer here since they opened and like everyone else I played along with the inevitable upsell by the techs. Did that because I knew the rest of the experience would be good. I knew it would be MUCH better than the people up the street — the ones who lube in a jiffy. Perhaps the techs weren’t adding enough fat to the bottom line. After all — they know cars not strong-​arm sales tactics. Kwik Kar must’ve seen the competition as a good business model instead of being happy as the alternative to those thieves.
If you want the story: the filters always need changed, right? Could be brand new and they’d be in there doing the filter song and dance. I explained I would actually be selling the car THAT DAY and only needed the oil changed. That’s all. The filters are no longer my problem. Imagine my surprise when I get to the counter and I’m charged $ 60 for an air filter and two cabin filters! I knew it would do no good to raise hell so I paid it. It amazes me – as obvious as it is that nobody trusts mechanics anymore — that they still continue to engage in such chicanery. Now we switch to that company from Arkansas — at least there they are up front with their whole mess.
Note to Kwik Kar: I won’t be the last you lose with this BS. You just lost three cars every three thousand miles (with the occasional AC and brake service here and there). I don’t get paid until this Friday and now I’m $ 60 light for my daughter’s daycamp this week — can I just drop her off there and you watch her? Maybe teach her the art of the graft? No — you’d probably just turn her out.
Bottom line: unless you like being ripped off then avoid this place like you’d avoid a jiffy job.

This company does not stand behind its work. They did some service for my daughter, who is a college student living in Norman. They did not use the right product when working on her car and what should have been a relatively easy fix ended up being a big problem for us. We eventually were able to resolve the problem with another service provider but wasted about $ 350 with these folks.

Likes: Great waiting area — very classy and comfortable. It’s almost like going to a Starbucks or Panera while you wait. They even have free wifi there too. They always do a good job and don’t take very long. They also don’t act all pushy about extra maintenance, and they offer a standard discount for OU students. This place is locally owned too, which is always nice, and they are open on Saturdays.
Dislikes: They keep the A/​C on pretty strongly. They’re also a bit pricey.
