History
Established in 2014.
Norman Strength was founded in May of 2014 to provide a quality strength training facility to people in the Norman area. Sooner CrossFit became the premier program offered out of Norman Strength and has since developed several competitive athletes at the state and regional level. Norman Strength has also gone on to diversify into both athletic development for serious middle-school, high school, and collegiate athletes as well as a personal training resource for clients of all walks of life including extreme weight loss, elderly, and injury rehabilitation. Due to the high level of experience and qualification of the staff, the clientele at Norman Strength is extremely varied both in age and experience as well as need and ability. It is a truly unique environment with a lot to offer for a very broad population of people.

Business Owner
Jeremy Rutledge is the president of the Oklahoma Olympic Weightlifting Committee under USA Weightlifting. He is currently the #3 ranked active weightlifter in the state by Sinclair (303.24) and currently holds six state records. He also holds four state records in squat, dead lift, bench press, and total through the Natural Athlete Strength Association (NASA). In 2013, Jeremy took 3rd at the Iron Thistle Highland Games, winning the caber toss and hammer throw. When he’s not competing, he runs Olympic weightlifting seminars throughout the mid-west, including Santa Fe, New Mexico; Ruston, Louisiana; and in gyms across Oklahoma from Durant and Elk City to Roth and Edmond, and most recently as a part of the Bart Conner and Nadia Comaneci Sports Festival in Oklahoma City. Jeremy’s mission is to increase the popularity and proficiency of Heavy Athletics in Oklahoma and to empower aspiring athletes to reach their full potential.
