University of Oklahoma

The university of Oklahoma. More like the university of NO FRICKING WIFI Oklahoma. You’d think for the fairly expensive cost of attendance there would be decent wifi. Well-​you would be wrong! In fact, this has taken me about an hour to write because the wifi sucks. You know what else sucks? Parking tickets! :) does the OU «police» have nothing better to do? :) I have to say… the one good thing about OU is the cookies inside Einstein bros. that’s why I’m giving this establishment 1 star instead of 0.

I’ve lived in SW Ohio most of my life, so I have no connection or prior affiliation to any of the Oklahoma or Texas schools, but since my son’s first visit, I have been nothing but impressed by OU. I never would have imagined such a beautiful campus! The administration and faculty have been very friendly and it has everything I would have wanted in a college campus — including a pretty cool area of shops and restaurants nearby. The campus is sizeable, but compact enough to get from one end to the other with ease. My son is now a freshman and I still have not found one thing to dislike about the University of Oklahoma.

My son is a student at OU. A Freshman fall 2014, he settled in very nicely making lots of new friends from all over. The International Studies program impressed him to attend the school and so far he’s loving the education. The campus is beautiful, the people are hospitable, the student body is very diverse and seem happy, Norman is a great town, and we love to visit to see him and attend Football/​Basketball games as much as we can.

Beautiful campus and architecture. Unfortunately, the library was closed so we were only able to view the amazing reading room through the windows. It will require another visit for the full tour. The natural history museum was another hidden gem on campus. This campus loves their sports. Every stadium or field looked new or top quality. Lots of surprises and areas to explore. Allow a full day. Enjoy the walk and keep your eyes open lots of fountains and sculptures tucked away.

Campus is beautiful and big. Norman water however… terrible!!!

What a pretty campus! This place is pretty huge too… in fact you pretty much have to get in a car or catch a bus to get from one side to another in a reasonable time. The architecture is nice, and despite some construction on campus the place was well kept and seemed welcoming.

A great University. My son is currently a junior here where his parents met back in the day. So you might say it is a family institution. I always found the campus to be beautiful, especially in the Fall. I was just back last week and it was quite nostalgic.
There are wonderful opportunities here.
And the football team is really catching on. :)

I’ve been here once and I just don’t like the location. It’s too awkward for me and it smells really bad. Well, when I was there at least.
It smelled like horse manure and it smelled like someone lit off a stink bomb a couple of times.
Definitely not somewhere I want to be attending for my college classes. Very expensive, course selection isn’t all that great and the location; it’s weird to me.
Thanks, but no thanks.

No, Matt was not in the University of Oklahoma campus to enroll as a student. He was here to apply for hopeful employment, similar to what he is currently doing back home, but more control, change of scenery and a new challenge.
There are 3 separate campuses of one of the elite universities in the country. Matt was at Coat Hall from the Norman Campus, to fill out his application and sadly to say, being a little rusty in being the interviewee, the job-​interview for the desired position was a little shaky and predictably doubtful. If Matt does get the job, he’ll be;
«The Big Man on Campus!»
After the tiring 90 minute interview, which looked unpromising, Matt took a little walk on an overcast day and tour around this big-​time campus. Every student takes their educational studies dead seriously and studies every where in the campus. Matt was also eyeing for Unilocalers around the campus, but no prevails or such luck.
If Matt would rewind his youthful life again, he would takes his educational studies more seriously and attend a university, similar to Oklahoma.
