I recently moved to this area from Ballard and had been going to the Grease Monkey there for several years. The Ballard location is top notch, the people are really good at what they do. I have to say that I will miss them. I brought my truck in for service the other day and I was happy to find that the same professional and speedy service also exists at this location. My only complaint is no coffee! Well if thats the worst I can say…

Don’t waste your time — go to Pit Stop! I called Pit Stop and asked them what the cost of their oil change with their coupon was and they were very straight forward. When I called Grease Monkey the Manager was very short and said he wouldn’t know the final cost until I brought my car in — even though I had gone to Grease Monkey in April and they had all my info on file. I told him I had their competitors coupon and that they had promised me $ 69.99 and could they meet that. The manager said they could offer me $ 10 off my competitors coupon. I took my car to Grease Monkey and while they were very nice they refused to honor the competitors coupon. At no time did the manager explain to me that they would only accept one coupon at a time or that the $ 10 off was off of their regular price. In the end they charged me $ 13 more than Pit Stop and $ 10 more than I paid to Grease Monkey for the SAME SERVICE in April. I will also mention that I figured the manager was busy when he refused to tell me the cost of the oil change on the phone. When I arrived at their shop he told me business had been extremely slow that day. Obviously the slowness is a reflection on their poor customer service! Grease Monkey is untrustworthy and clearly they don’t care about my business.

Horrible and without consideration!
It was all good until they ripped off my door handle and just gave me my car nonchalantly as if it was just like that.
Apparently the Incredible Hulk works there and his super human strength just ripped my door handle off.
They just left the door handle on the seat.
The lack of thought to even mention what had occurred was what ruined it all here… otherwise it was like any other oil change.

I stopped in early in the morning after picking up a friend from seatac. Mark, the owner was there and truly understands customer service. He was attentive and friendly. He gave me some tips on camping and his guys got me back on the road within 20 minutes.
His guys also checked my Check Engine light and determined it was something minor. They also replaced my license plate light bulb.

I’ve been here twice. First time for an oil change… a seamless good experience… second time was recent, for windshield wipers. I was on the run and had no time to change them myself. I was in and out of there in 5 minutes, and the wipers are of excellent quality… probably the best windshield wipers I’ve ever had. I’ll be going back in about a week for another oil change.

The manager here was excellent. I came there with a groupon and my nephews honda was too low for them to change the tires around so instead he upgraded my oil and gave me new wipers. Now thats customer service!

I was on a mission for an oil change. After doing some research and comparison between Grease Monkey and that other oil change place, I decided that I’ll trust Grease Monkey once again. I’ve been to their Federal Way location a number of times and have yet to have a bad experience. The manager, Angela, is great! I wanted to have my fuel filter changed and they did not have one in stock so she offered me a discount if I come back when they do have it. And they vacuumed my car. AND the oil change was $ 45 for Mobil 1 oil. That’s how great my experience was :)
