Dan Moore Tree Service

– DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY! —
First, Dan Moore Tree Service /​Landscaping trespassed on my property when we were not home.
Second, they then proceeded to cut down my 30 year old gorgeous cherry tree, when it was in full bloom. This tree hung over my townhome and that of my neighbors providing wonderful shade to the homes, and it made the front of our homes really look nice. He cut the tree down to about ¹⁄₈ of the tree size.
The problem? They were supposed to cut a cherry tree down about 10 houses up the street from me. Instead, they wrongfully cut mine down. My house # is 904. He was supposed to cut the cherry tree down at #817. Big mistake.
One of the neighbors watched this happen and couldn’t believe it so she took down his # and later called me. When I called and spoke to Dan Moore he immediately recognized that they had down the wrong tree. I said «so if I hadn’t tracked you down, were you planning on coming back to my property and letting me know you made this big mistake? I was so upset and mad. I asked him how such a big and very sloppy mistake could have been made. He repeatedly told me it was an accident. I told him his team that this was one big problematic accident.
We have had two arborists look at our tree. It has a value of $ 50,000-$ 65,000.
Our property now looks absolutely terrible.
His website says he’s insured, bonded, licensed and with the Better Business Bureau. While he is insured, the rest is all a lie as we checked on all three.
My lawyer contacted him and urged him to submit an insurance claim. It’s been nearly 7 weeks and he hasn’t done so. Instead he has called me four times asking if he could do other work to make up for the error he made.
Finally we took it upon ourselves to track his insurance company down and just put in a claim.
Do not, whatsoever, hire this company for any job. Steer clear.

A formal contract was made to remove several trees at a cost of $ 3,500. The contractor departed from the job without notifying me and I caught up with him while he was still on my lane to provide full payment. When I returned I noticed that the job was not completed. I contacted him and he promised to remove the last tree. Future calls went unanswered. When he was on my street doing another job he stated that he would take care of it that day but he did not. I contacted him yesterday and he said he will send someone out to remove «that little a** tree». It would take less than 30 minutes for the work to be completed but he doesn’t care about his business ethics — it is quite clear that his sole focus is new work vs. finishing a job that he acknowledges that he didn’t complete. As far as I am concerned when a contractor acknowledges that they did not complete a job that they were paid for with no justification or defense then they grade out below an F. The proper label is that he his a Thief!

Came out and met with me twice to discuss services. Did work timely and neat. Great price too

Dan came out and gave us an estimate on a number of different projects I would like to see done. His prices were better than anyone else’s (by a few hundred for one project) and there was a really relaxed feel to the entire meeting. I called him up about a week later and asked him to come out and he said it would take about 2 weeks (common for the summer I assume). Three days later he called and said he was in the neighborhood and asked if he could do the work then. I was happy to have this done sooner and when I got home everything was finished. They cleaned up well and aside from a few trees missing limbs that were previously hanging over my house (the job) you couldn’t tell anyone had been there. I will definitely be using Dan in the future for any tree work that needs to be done and recommend others to do the same.
