Stopped in b/c daughter is always on the lookout for a juice bar. Negatives & positives today. Love the bright green walls, bar & fireplace. No juice which was disappointing, but we later learned that maybe there were some staffing issues(the head cook was also acting as our waiter), & the bar would be open M-F at least, & they’ll let you sample the juices b/f deciding. The big negative: only hand sanitizer in the ladies room, no actual soap. And the fact that there were also no paper towels, leading us to believe this wasn’t an oversight, that they actually expect patrons to be okay with no soap. Hope I’m wrong there. Kiddo ordered BLT on toasted wheat. No wheat, only white. At this point we really started to question the place. Other than oxtail, I didn’t see any Jamaican dishes that they supposedly serve, either. I ordered turkey burger. Although I was surprised it came on a long roll, the roll was toasted(always a bonus… although too buttery, but that’s personal preference), & Raphael(our chef/waiter) was not lying when he assured me they used real turkey. Not only was it a lot(probably 2x the meat in a normal burger), but I could tell that patty was hand made, & not frozen processed junk other places try to pass off as food. I found it a little underseasoned, but again, personal preference. The burger wasn’t dry, which can be a problem w/turkey but not here. I’d like to see more creative condiment offerings(smoked jalepeño or chipotle mayo perhaps), but overall thumbs up on turkey burger. There was also no salt/pepper on the table. Not a big deal, just a bit odd. Our fries were hand cut & properly(deliciously) fried. I regretted splitting an order with my daughter, because I wanted them all for myself. Kiddo was pleased with her BLT despite having to eat white bread. Then there’s Raphael. He answered our questions about the place & clearly takes pride in the food he prepares & in the establishment. Raphael, his fries, & knowing burgers are feshly made convinced us we need to give this place another try. I also wonder if there are some off-menu items that we weren’t aware of as 1st timers. But in the end, with a few minor fixes, I could see this being a place we add to our regular rotation. Give this locally owned small business a try.

Excellent food, fresh and all homemade. The service was excellent and everyone is so friendly. Prices are surprisingly good. Looking forward to trying other Jamaican dishes, the oxtail was fabulous. The sign outside is hard to spot keep your eyes peeled.
