Do not ever use this place for computer repairs. Under any circumstances. When I brought my computer in, they said «It could take more than a day». Three weeks later, I was still being told I would have to be patient, and they REFUSED to give me any estimate of how long it would take, saying «we don’t know how long the tests will take» Really? No idea at all? or how much they would charge me. Furthermore, I took it in and said «I dropped the phone on the keyboard over the hard drive», and was told «Oh no, the hard drive is protected – the problem is you have a virus» They made up a bunch of crazy stuff about how he had to run rootkits, which were not a part of the anti-​viral software I had on my computer (they were – I had AVG 9 and Spybot), and wasted a ton of time and money before, duh, deciding that the hard drive was damaged. Which is what I told them when I came in. Their ability to retrieve data from a damaged hard drive was sub-​par, to say the least – and I’ve had quite a few experiences with professional data recovery – and he also refused to restore my programs, saying «They must be illegal, if you don’t have the disks.» Hello? You can purchase computers with pre-​installed software, and most of us do, these days! Forget this guy. He’ll make you think he knows everything, repeating «I’m licensed-​Microsoft for 25 years», but really, he just makes things complicated, doesn’t provide estimates of time or expense, and will never call you back to let you know what he’s doing, and he’s not great at what he does. A huge, huge waste of money and time.
