GoEasy Used Washer & Dryer

Got a perfectly fine used dryer for a good price, delivered and installed the same day we bought it, including the dryer duct and other parts. We rent and weren’t in the market for an expensive dryer, just one that did the job, and I think we made out pretty well with goeasy.
Based on the earlier negative review we read here on Unilocal,we decided to call and make sure they would be open and have some dryers in stock before we went. I left a voicemail on the number listed and got a text message back, and that’s how we communicated until we went to the store. I thought that was a bit strange that the majority of the communication was via text message, but, it ended up being fine.
Once we met Dave at the store he was very nice and found us a dryer that met our budget. The store is basically an old house filled with used appliances, all of which were clean and many of them running so you could see them working.
We were happily surprised that we could get our dryer delivered the same day, though I’m not sure if that’s usually the case. The delivery guy was nice, though we were surprised it was not Dave, the guy who sold us our dryer, since he made it sound like he would be delivering it.
Also be aware that they do take credit cards but they charge you a 3. something percent fee to use one, so I would suggest using cash.
Overall, it’s a little rough around the edges but you get a good product for the price so, who cares? I’m not sure where the person in the earlier one star review went when he knocked on the door, but it sounds like it wasn’t goeasy.

Shopped around at all the Big Box Stores and then gave Go Easy Appliances a call… saved $$$ and the service was outstanding. Delivered right to our utility room and they took the old washer. Amy worked the delivery around my work schedule and bottom line i that we are very pleased with the new washer.

Great personal & friendly service! We needed a washer & dryer installed in our basement right away. David & Amy gave us a great deal on an almost new set that they had picked up or a bargain. But the best part was the service — the store is a small business run by this couple. David will jump through whatever hoops needed to get the machines installed — our basement had no dryer exhaust & he came back in 2 days with supplies to fashion one with planks and a window. He did the work of a contractor in addition to selling us the machines!
I really dont understand the negative review below. pretty sure David & Amy have no employees! The reviewer must be walked into some other business or be confused in some other way.

These guys post a lot on Craigslist but don’t reply to messages so I got in my car and headed over from Boston to see what they have. Arrived at 11:15 on a Saturday AM and saw the big ‘OPEN’ sign flashing. One door barricaded by washers. Sign says ‘go to other door and ring bell if locked’. I find other door and ring bell. Takes a few minutes but out comes some junkie in his pajamas that I clearly woke up. I ask if this is the storefront and he replies ‘I don’t know, I just work here” and closes the door!
Wow! Sketch! Needless to say — headed to Sears. I don’t know if I just came on a REALLLLLLY bad day or what — but I did expect a modicum of professionalism — even if they are selling used/​refurbished goods. If you don’t care about such things — well, maybe this place is right for you.
