La Venere Ristorante Pizzeria

Once again I’m giving my review on this place I have ordered here for the second time and I got a 12 inch personal pan pizza in which case I ordered the pizza vodka with broccoli and cherry hot peppers with pepperoni which all vegetables were fresh not frozen as my mother once again got the linguini and red clam sauce what she said it is so good and that her tummy is happy for the second time we also ordered the eggplant rollatini which was very outstanding and very tasty all this could not have been possible if the food was not made fresh but it was and it was made with passion we got a lemon is type of dessert cake that was very tasty almost as good as the last resort they gave us complimentary by the way its a dollar 85 for each topic for the personal pan pizzas and they were very flexible on the matter that they did not show red cherry pepper on the toppings but when I asked the guy if they could he said yes PS the only negative thing I have to say is that they did forget the extra red clam sauce that my mom did order and that the person I talk to on the phone apparently was a little off of information on the menu since we look at the menu and found out that you can get a salad with any pasta that you get which apparently of the server did not know until we proved it to him on the Internet please make sure that when you do get pasta you would inform this to him for future purposes thank you

With so many great BYOB Italian Restaurants out there, how does one get 5 STARS? BY doing everything correctly. You taste the freshest Chicken Parm ever, the tastiest Shrimp Fra Diavolo, fried calamari; crisp, as well as the most freshet desserts ever. Super fresh food, great service, and that friendly feeling when you walk in, You know its OUTSTANDING when you already are planning on coming back with more friends to show off that you found a great place! I also envied what the other people ordered, so I am ready to order again. Pasta Fagioli, the veal, and the Pizza.

This place is awesome! It is a BYOB which I love! We stopped in spur of the moment and we are so happy we did. The waiters are attentive and make you feel as though they are happy you’re there. We ordered pizza and it was great, nice thin crust and all of the ingredients were fresh. I could taste the fresh basil! The fried calamari was perfectly cooked; crispy and light outside but very tender inside… amazing! I can’t wait to go back and try something else!

This is a great find in North Arlington. The food is fresh and the menu is varied. The service is personal, too. Parking is tight but make the effort.

The food is consistently great, even when it is delivered. The people there are polite, too. Also, the prices are reasonable. I definitely recommend this place!

I’ve come here on numerous occasions and have never been disappointed. The food is absolutely amazing. We’ve had everything from pizza to a full course meal. Their vodka sauce is so flavorful and the shrimp scampi is to die for. The place is a little small inside but accommodating. They have outside seating as well, which is nice in the summer. The service is impeccable and is always on point. Drinks are refilled without asking and water is always filled. The staff is very courteous and the owner is as well. I would highly recommend going and my family and I will be returning very soon.

Top 20 list — we opted to make La Venere the next stop on «The Pizza Project 2015» since it’s a place we’ve passed countless times over the years and it came highly recommended by friends.
It’s small. The parking lot is even smaller. The waiters are all way cool and the bread at the start of the meal was ridiculously good.
Major gripe: the wait. 50 minutes between my Unilocal check-​in and getting two small pies? That’s a wee bit excessive. (Close to ten minutes just to get some water and soft drinks seemed a bit cruel — especially during a heatwave when you’re dying of thirst.)
But let’s get to it: the complimentary app of fried calamari (so cool of the place and definitely appreciated) needed a kick in the rump and bland (both the fried rings ‘o seafood and the dipping sauce) but the pies were above average. The plain was everything you hope for — good burn on the cheese and a damn tasty properly cooked crust beneath. The 4-​cheese was yummy as well but I thought that as well could’ve used a pinch more flavor and seasoning (let’s be honest — ricotta can always use some assistance to come alive).
After the summer-​of-​pizza-​research-​project is officially in the books we’ll be heading back here (with a bottle of wine — it’s BYOB!) to try out their homemade pastas that looked good.
PS: we get our bill and I re-​opened my Unilocal app to see if we qualified for a coupon I saw earlier and without paying attention I hit the ‘phone’ icon and I could hear the restaurant’s phone start to ring but was oblivious that it was me since I was too busy crunching the numbers on a tip. Needless to say: that was my first (unintentional) phone prank in a good 30 years!

Have been meaning to review this really grest restaurant. I was here with my family for a large family dinner back in February. Their service was excellent and they were extemely accommodating. They gave us more food than we needed. Since the dinner in February, we have ordered take out from them several times. Their food is great. We love the chicken Murphy dinner! They always throw in something for free as well. Great people to deal with. Very professional and accommodating and the prices are average.

The Eggplant pizza was terrible, eggplant was so over fried it was like eating eggplant chips.
Meat Ball parm was a clump of chop meat no seasoning nothing, with mozz, and sauce. Terrible I will not order from here again.

Food was great a bit expensive. Definitely worth a try. I went with my bf and the nice waiter gave us some ice cream in a cup guess he thought we were a nice sweet cute couple.

What an amazing little gem!!! I am a food snob and this place left me extremely satisfied. I ended up here because of work and the reviews were spot on. The service was excellent, our server was ready with excellent recommendations and understood the meaning of customer service. The bread was EVERYTHING! Dense on the inside and crunchy on the out. My food was fresh and the fresh mozzarella was of high quality! They were out of our requested desserts and comped us an amazing cheesecake that made my day! Oh and don’t skip the cappuccino, it was perfect. I’m hoping I get sent back to N Arlington on assignment just so I can eat here again!

GREAT place to order from, we got delivery on a sunday and the man who took my order said it would be 45−1hr because they where busy, which js fine normal time. We got it 40 mins later and free sodas! We got Chicken Parm, Meatball Sub, and a chicken cutlet sandwich, Lettuce tomato mayo oil and vinegar PERFECT! Big portions and the packaging is great not a mess like your usual pizza place. GREAT place hands down. THANK YOU

What a great little Italian spot my friend took me too this past Saturday! The food here is amazing and authentic Italian cuisine. It’s a very small location and has about 10 tables inside along with a small side patio area along the building. BYOB and does take out!
We decided to sit outside on the covered patio because the weather was beautiful and they were super busy inside. We started out with some sodas and out came fresh Italian bread and butter with olive oil & grated cheese on the table for dipping. Before we even looked over the menu the chef sent out the most amazing complementary fried shrimp. The coating on it was perfect and went so well with the cocktail dipping sauce and fresh lemon wedge. We decided on ordering the rollatini di asparagi which is asparagus rolled with fresh mozzarella, prosciutto and roasted peppers in a white wine lemon sauce, and the crab cakes that were on the specials menu. Both were phenomenal, the asparagus was cooked perfectly and the mozzarella was oozing out, only thing I would of liked was for the prociutto to be thinner. The crab cakes were two large cakes jam packed with lump crab meat and served with a roasted pepper dipping sauce that had a nice little kick to it. By this point we were already stuffed but out came our caesar salads. The dressing was delicious and if I’m not mistaken homemade.
For our entrees we ordered the penne vodka and the shrimp scampi with risotto. The penne vodka was by far the best I have EVER had and the pasta was cooked to a perfect al dente. The shrimp scampi was so good! Came with about 6 large shrimp sitting on top a pile of creamy risotto flavored with the garlicky lemon sauce. Everything was so good and filling that I ended up taking home my huge left over potions that my family really enjoyed. For dessert my friend ordered the cheesecake and they gave us a complimentary piece of almond cake to take home. The cheesecake was everything you look for in a cheesecake, creamy consistency not too heavy not too light but just rite.
One thing I must commend them on is their hospitality along with their service. Not once was my glass half empty before it was placed with a full one. The staff here is so great and attentive I can not wait to come back for my next visit!

family owned, very cute place. The calamari balsamico was fantastic, as was the eggplant rolletini. The pork chop was also great. They don’t rush you through your courses, which I was very pleased with, since we hadn’t seen our friends we were dining with in a while, so it was nice. They also include salad with the entrees, I always think that’s a nice touch.

This location is a rare thine. An Italian place that has a bar. Venere also has both good pizza AND good food. A major RARITY.
The motz sticks are good, we’ve had the mixed fry app… to go…(I know I know). It has calamari, 2 fried shrimp, big ones, 2 motz stix, and 2 crispy wings. After bringing it home, even the squid was crispy! The disk is MOSTLY calamari tho, so if u dont like squid its not for you, we loved it, and it came w nice, sweet sauce.
We have tried the chicken parm, which was not only really good… but portion was enough for 2 ppl to have lunch the next day. VERY generous portion.
opposingly, the framcaise was GREAT!!! Great flavor! Not too buttery, not too thick. Fresh! Lemony! A very good take on it. However for the same price as the chicken parm– the serving is half the size! Get on this guys! If the serving was the same, we would order both parm and francais weekly!!!
The pizza is awesome! The other half saw sum1 with one in the hall, smelled good, asked to take a look, and the neighbor offered us a slice. Bangin!!!

We were looking for a spot to try after some birding at DeKorte. Are we glad we stopped in here. Pizza for my son, Chicken Murphy for me, a to go order of sautéed Calamari for my wife. Everything was delicious! And we got some free Gelato for dessert. Very cool.
We have been back several times and the food and service is consistently good.

Recently went there on a whim and was amazingly surprised. Seemed like a small ordinary place, nothing special. The food blew me away. I had the rigatoni and vodka. It was amazing. Wasn’t really even hungry going in there but with the first bite I was hooked. Didnt try the pizza, which is what everyone seems to love. I will be back there and give it a try.

Surprisingly good! Where I would normally be inclined to vote against a place where the service is on the slower side and there are only about ten tables, this restaurant is a must try! Yes, it’s small and can be noisy but they managed to create a very intimate dinner for my family and me. Yes, the service isn’t the fastest but the entire staff was curtious and professional. As far as I was concerned they could have left me there all night anyway as long as they kept the food coming. I ordered the spinach manicotti and it was ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS! Everyone at my table enjoyed their food, both appetizer and entrée, and then we devoured a fantastic dessert. Way more then a pizzeria.
Go here! Don’t drive too fast down schuyler ave in north Arlington or you might miss it!
