In just a few words: terrible, terrible, terrible. We were hungry on a Sunday evening and decided to check this place out as we just moved to the area. If you are looking for authentic Mexican food, please turn around and leave. I ordered the steak burrito and honestly, I might as well have gone to Chipotle. I’d consider Chipotle much more authentic than this place. My husband ordered the Milanesa torta. Both items were bland. The burrito literally only had the meat, beans, and lettuce. Where was the tomato, cheese, sour cream, avocado??? They also call this steak burrito, not really. I could tell they use a cheap cut of beef. The torta was meh– definitely not authentic. It was, as the burrito, lacking flavor. The only semi-decent thing we tried was the horchata. All in all, we will not be back.

This used to be decent & close go to place but something has changed since my fav cook is gone. Now the burritos are watery inside with cat food-like appearance to the chopped up meat. I’m wondering what it really is when I order chicken & can’t get it to shred

Should’ve known… was recommended this place by a coworker who loves Lou Malnati’s and thinks I’m nuts because I don’t. Well, he did also say there was a rather cute girl there to check out too. She wasn’t there today(3÷29÷15). The menu is all over the place. Good luck making a decision. There’s no way this much variety in Mexican food actually exists as Mexican food is typically just variations on a theme of tortillas, basic meats, beans, rice, shredded iceberg lettuce, tomato, cheese, guac and sour cream. There must have been 50 items on one menu on the left wall… and another 50 on the right(see my pics). All rendered with haphazard mixed computer and hand writing, different fonts, prices with no rhyme or reason($_.99, $_.95, $_.00, etc.). The befuddlement of mind of the people who create such messes reminded me of the same befuddlement I attribute to the people responsible for the garbage strewn streets of Nogales Mexico, just over the border from Nogales Arizona. But maybe they cook well. Nah. The skirt steak fajita type thing actually had good meat that wasn’t overcooked like a lot of places… and tasty onions. But the accoutrements of bland beans, red rice that tasted like water given texture, and watery salsa just mired the whole thing down. Horchata drink was passable; I’ve had better. I took a flan to go(work breaks are 35 – 40 minutes and I was already pushing it) and that was really excellent, probably why I’m giving a 2– and not 1-star review. My $ 15 won’t be back.

Not a fan of this place. Bland food and charge for more than 1 green sauce with my huge burrito. Not going back

I love this place but the way they make their burritos is quite disappointing seeing as how all the meat is on one side and everything else is on the other. Besides that the food is excellent and I would bring anyone here if they’d just change how they assemble the burritos I’d completely bump this up to a 5 star no problem.

Tried Boca last night for the first time and was horribly disappointed — while service was quick and pleasant — I did not enjoy the flavor of the food at all. I like my food flavorful and spicy. The three items we tried(Grilled Steak Taco, Potato & Chorizo Sopes and Steak Torta) had zero spice and flavor even after adding all of the hot sauces/salsa provided. The verde was literally like light green water. This lack of spice and flavor was a disappointment to me and my dining partner, but it wasn’t until I sat down to write this review did I notice on the front of their takeout menu the following: «Authentic Mexican Food: If you haven’t tried our: MEXICANFOOD, it is not highly seasoned and is not preheated. We prepare our dishes right from scratch. PLEASEGIVEUSTIMETOPROPERLYPREPAREYOURS.» So, apparently I had been warned regarding the lack of spices If your taste preference is BOLD& Spicy flavors this is not the Mexican restaurant for you

I really like this place, their dinners are well priced and plentiful. Their burritos and tacos are very good as well. I enjoy their fajitas and carne asada dinner the most.

Awful service. The women who call themselves waitresses must not understand the term hospitality. Which trust me has a huge impact on my rating. Secondly I would love to add their day old stale chips do not settle well as a first impression. A bag of tostitos would please my pallet more. And their salsa is homemade but boring and watered down. Lastly, the food is nothing bold or pleasant. As a native Texan I understand Mexican food and I know its not as cheap and run down as this joint. Do not waste your money, I would recommend taco bell over this.

Nope. I like in Chicago where we have elote carts. Boca’s elote was not even edible. The burrito was ok but not memorible.

I recurrently went to Boca Burrito on my lunch break and got the taco combo. I’ve been to Baco Burrito before but this time the food wasn’t as great as i remembered it to be and I think it’s because it’s under new ownership. Something about the taco just didn’t seem authentic to me.

Steak fajitas were as good as or better than Chili’s at almost half the price. Will be back soon!

Simple. Authentic. Cheap. Ordered out just yesterday and got steak tacos on corn tortillas with salsa verde on the side. The double layered tortillas overflow with meat and usually a meal on their own. They have great deals on lunch and full meals with rice and beans. Really enjoy their salsa especially verde. Not a huge fan of their guacamole kind of bland but it improves if you add a splash of one of their salsas. The restaurant itself is a little funky but endearing and is dry. The service is always pleasant and prompt. Would love to enjoy a cold Modelo with my tacos but I guess that is what carry out is for. For taste that rivals El Taco Grande but prices that don’t Boca is a perfect option.

Quick fix takeout Mexidinner because the bf and I decided that we wanted to eat our tacos in pajamas… cue Boca Burritos for our meal. Fast made to order serice? Yep. Friendly English speaking cashier? Yep. Tasty Horchata? Yep, yep. Fresh tasting delicious chips? Eh I prefer the ones we have in the bag. Salsa? Great flavor, but a little watery. Beans? Also quite thinned out and lacking flavor… Rice? Mediocre at best. Portion sizes? Varied. pork in green sauce was still enough for 2 Chrissy sized meals, but the bf probably would have devoured it in one sitting… steak fajitas were ginormous and even bf in his slow eating glory couldnt finish. Main food taste? Stellar. Om nom nom. My only question… with the fajitas… wheres the cheeeeeese?

I love Boca. We’ve been eating here for years, and it’s never let us down. The employees are all really friendly, and the food is delicious. We love this place so much that we almost had them cater our wedding. The only reason we didn’t is because they don’t deliver.

On that hour lunch that most people get, we want to cram as much food and rest into the break as we can! Well fortunately… I decided to go to Boca one day and order three tacos. Ok price… A dollar and some change a piece. but I was so full after the meal that I literally fell asleep in the restaraunt. Some call it the itis! Some call it working too hard. Let the people at the front know you are eating in, because i waiter will usually never get to you til you do! Either way the food was very good… Nice red and green sauces that cool and spice the food up depending on what you like. The restaurant was empty however. i believe most people come and pick up the food… ordering in advance. Stop by an give it a try… But you might want to dine in. Dont want to fall asleep like me!

Went there last week for the first time after hearing a couple of positive things about the Boca. Chips and 2 kinds of salsa arrived to our table, dished by a friendly but obviously disinterested server. Standard mild tomato/onion/jalapeño salsa, plus a more interesting salsa verde with chunks of tomatillo, red chile peppers and onion. Not the greatest salsa, but I give it points for not being the run-of-the-mill blended variety. I ordered a steak burrito suizo(I like to judge Mexican food by their carne asada) and the wife had enchiladas. The burrito arrived after being bathed in electric yellow nacho cheese sauce. Now this cheese may be fine for Portillo’s cheese fries, but not on my burrito. I expected rachero sauce and some chihuahua or queso oaxaca. Inside, the burrito was standard fare. The steak was passable, but did not have much flavor, either way. The enchiladas were OK. All in all, it was a very average meal. Not offensive(minus the nacho cheese incident), and yet not worth going more than a block or two out of my way for.
