A & G Bakery

My parents love their biscotti and other cookies. Personally I love the tiramisu cake! Super light and tasty. I believe it’s about $ 15-​$ 18 but it’s so worth it. My grandma and aunt always want me to pick it up for them.

Never a disappointment! When you bring anything from this bakery over someone’s house for dessert, you will be asked about the name and whereabouts of the business! From the special order cakes to the French Macarons you’ll be fully satisfied. Everything from this bakery is delicious and consistent!

You can’t beat the desserts here. Everything is fresh and delicious. However, the customer service is severely lacking! The employees have the worst attitudes and are downright right rude. I guess that’s what happens when you hire snotty teenage girls to run the front of the shop. I’ve been using this bakery for years and I have seen a major change in the last couple years. Very disappointing!!!

If it weren’t for the staff, I would give this bakery 5 stars. My family has been using this bakery for years (even family from other towns drive out to this bakery)… The cannoli cakes are amazing. However, the girls who work the front have the worst attitudes! So rude and unfriendly. I’ve had multiple family members (including myself) feel unwelcome. Thankfully for the business, the bakers do an excellent job… But going into the bakery every time is cringe-​worthy. I hope the managers see this… We will have to start looking for a new bakery.

Staff is horrible. For the last 3 years I have been hosting an Oktoberfest party. I normally order from another bakery but was recommended to A&G. Ordered a German chocolate cake and a dozen and a half canolis Went through everything I wanted. Staff wrote it all down. Chocolate cake, fudge frosting cherry filing .very simple. She jokingly says. That’s a lot of chocolate After going through it all woman speaks to the baker and rips up first ticket and decides to rewrite and write out only Black Forest cake. Tells me I can’t pick it up until after noon which is ridiculous. Get there at 12:30 to find the cake has whipped cream. I tell them what happened and was told I was wrong. No apologies just says… look we go by what’s written here and a Black Forest cake has whipped cream. I explained again that I have never had it with whipped cream and that the staff told me it would be done with fudge. I was told to come back later which I couldn’t because my party started an hour later. I already paid a deposit so I waited. Never received an apology, an offer to even discount or anything. Cake was good not great and the canolis were soggy. Definitely will never recommend them.

Popped in for pound of pastries one day and I’ve been going back ever since.
It’s a lovely neighborhood bakery, clean and bright inside, the employees are
all very nice. The prices are not bad, I would say comparable to any other local bakery.
I recently ordered an 8″ birthday cake (strawberry filling and yellow cake) and was very happy with the presentation and the quality of the cake! It was fresh and had two layers of filling and 3 layers of cake. It cost a few dollars more for whipped cream instead of buttercream and it was definitely worth it at $ 20.
Also have been back to try several other pastries. The apple horn is amazing. The cheese horn was also very good but I did think the cheese was just a little on the dry side but that didn’t stop me from eating every bite. Tried the chocolate cigars and the raspberry, both very good loaded with yumminess.
The pastries are fresh and also beautifully presented, the cannoli’s are perfect, not runny and the shells are still crunchy! I would like to see more variety in the bite size pastries and the cookies as well, but they did have a lot of cakes, cheesecakes and danish.
The cakes in the case are all very pretty and look delicious too. I’m definitely a fan and I’m sure I’ll be visiting them often.

Some of the best fresh cannolis I’ve ever had. The staff behind the counter were pleasant and helpful. This is going to be my go to spot for cannolis.

This place has the best pastries and cookies in the neighborhood. If we are headed to any family event, we always stop in for some old school Italian specialties. Super legit place.

If I can give this place 10 stars I would. Amazing delicious and out of this world cakes and pastries. From all the bakeries in Brooklyn and Staten Island, and I have been to most of them. This place beats them out of the park. Their macaroons are better than the ones you buy in Paris. And that is a true statement. Bottom line is if you are looking for the best cakes cookies pastries, you will not regret going to A&G Bakery! These guys do a phenomenal job.

Seems like it’s the only «bakery» in the area. We went here looking to get some fresh baked bread and picked up some of the cookies. When they told me the price I was incredulous! I’ve been to plenty of bakeries, but this is not a Manhattan name-​brand, simply the only game in town.
The quality was simply average, neither bad nor great — nothing to write about. This could have been a 3-​star review, maybe 4 if the service was amazing when ordering a cake, but the prices are so high that I’m giving this a 2-​star. We won’t be back, unfortunately, going to have to drive a little further in the future.

Amazing bakery, great and helpful employees. Prices are better than other bakeries I have been too, and well worth it! Cakes are tasteful! Cookie selection is great too. Love it! My number 1 choice when I need a cake from now on!

Updating my review, since while it will still be my Go-​To Bakery, I will think again before picking up a plate of Itailan Cookies for $ 27.00! …YIKES!!!
While the cookies may be delicious, having highway robbery prices reduces this once 5 star review.

I ordered a cake from A & G Bakery earlier this week, and let me tell you… we were NOT disappointed! Chocolate Kosher with strawberry in the middle AND chocolate fudge on the outside… UTTERLY DELICIOUS! I WILL be back to try more of the goodies that can be found there!

It is all we have in Deer Park. The prices are floor jaw dropping. I have had good and so-​so items from here.
I finally decided to go outside the neighborhood and very happy I do so now. After Stella D’oro closed and they were the world best cannolli ‘s.
Don’t be afraid to ask for a price before you go ahead and pump good money into a cake thats 13 bucks or pastries that are sold by the pound… give me a break, whoaaa.
The prices are so out of control, I seriously now even go to the local supermaket bakery and ask them to put a store bought cake in a box and they do.
So goodbye A & G’s overpriced, buy by the pound nonesense.
Also, the pizza in the area is terrible too.

Outstanding bakery. Prices have gone up but its still worth it considering what other bakeries charge for lower quality products.
I’m not much of a sweets eater but if I had to pick the best Cannoli on Long island I wouldn’t hesitate… not even for a for a fraction of a second. I pick A&G.
The connoli here… its so flaky and crispy that the shell melts in your mouth and the cream has total flavor 100%.
Haven’t tried cakes yet… will get back to you on that.
Little FYI If you want something made between the months of nov-​jan I would call WEEKS! in advance cause its chaos here during the holidays.

My favorite bakery ever. Their pastries and cookies are to DIE for. Best Black and White cookies too. Yummy fresh bread. They have wonderful made to order cakes, we get all our special order cakes here — fresh and delish. I don’t really care for their ready made cakes out of the case but I haven’t tried many of them, to be fair. Any holiday is not complete without a stop here. The BEST Bakery around! And they have great hours, they are open late, even on holidays and Sundays.

Best place in N Babylon/​Deer Park.
It’s huge and you can get anything here. Their cakes are delish, the canolis are wonderful, and the cookies… YUM! I wouldn’t go any where else. Be careful, they are busy busy around the holidays!
