Avalon at Grosvenor Station

I moved here because I wanted to come back to Maryland from Arlington, VA. All of my friends and family are in Maryland so it was inconvenient to have all my things 30 minutes away in Virginia.
I wanted to move prior to my lease ending so the only affordable option was to transfer between Avalon buildings. The transfer still ended up costing me $ 6k in the month of January between the two apartment buildings. I got lucky when I was looking (around Christmas), and there was a beautiful one bedroom with a loft available for $ 1,860/month. The leasing office held the unit for me until New Years so I could move in after the holidays. I was still financially responsible for my Ballston Place apartment until January 11^th. The leasing staff is amazing, I see some reviews in the past couple years here about turn over and how horrible the leasing staff is. That isn’t the case anymore, I think Avalon has really put in effort to turn around the customer service (here, not in Ballston.)
The floor layouts are beautiful, they aren’t the standard left or right aligned basic one bedroom plans you see everywhere else. I have a soaking tub, vaulted ceilings, skylights, crown molding, floor to ceiling windows, walk in closets, and a huge laundry room. Omar in the leasing office is a joy to work with, as well as the maintenance staff. I’ve had to put in a few requests as I got adjusted in the new apartment, which is the only reason for giving 4 stars.
Things that I needed fixed when moving in: light bulbs were out in every room, something I wish they’d replaced before I moved in so I didn’t need to schedule maintenance the second day I was here. I had a horrible boxelder bug problem for three months (20 a day, in my bed, in my sink, in my cat food). I thought it may have just been a winter thing but as it continued into March I put in a request to have it addressed. I wanted to wait and avoid an exterminator because of my cat. It turns out I needed my screens resealed, I haven’t had any come in since. The last thing is either the walls are very thin, or I attract the worlds worst neighbors. I have neighbors on either side, the ones to my left are amazing and I’ve never heard anything from them. They have a dog and still no noise, which makes me want to rule out thin walls.
The neighbors to my right are horrible, and it’s the second set of neighbors. The first set I only overlapped with for one month, they had two loud dogs — which didn’t bother me, I’m an animal lover. The problem was they would blast music from 6−8pm that I could hear completely two rooms over. I guess they were trying to wind down from work, but it made my apartment unusable for those hours. Then new neighbors moved in, I was worried when the first ones moved out because that opens up a two bedroom. Best case a family moves in, worst case two guys. Of course it was two guys… at least two guys, it sounds like there are about 5 people living in the apartment. Women, children, a dog, none of which speak English. They had the carpet taken up and put down hard floor so the acoustics are shot. I don’t hear them until around 11pm-​4am. They blast music, it’s either surround sound or an electric guitar amp. Over top the music they scream back and forth with each other. My bedroom is the adjoining wall to their apartment, so every night my room thumps and my bed shakes, I actually had to rearrange my bedroom furniture when they moved in to put my bed against the opposite wall. I got fed up one night and sent my boyfriend over to knock on their door around 1am. They didn’t answer but just screamed louder at each other. I called the county police to come for a noise disturbance. I usually like to keep to myself and let things go, but I really like this community and they were making my apartment miserable. I also followed up with the leasing office to see if they would step in, they honestly had me considering moving out. Long story not so short, I haven’t heard them since, many thanks to Omar. If they pick it up again I’ll just keep calling the police.
Now that I’m bug free and I don’t have to listen to my annoying neighbors I really love this community. Of the four apartments I’ve had its definitely my favorite. Keep up the progress Avalon!

Was hesitant to move into this complex with the reviews on Unilocal and
but I personally haven’t had a bad experience at all and my stay — which is soon coming to an end has been great.
I’m a single mother and wanted to be in a great school district for my preteen son. Avalon offers that. I moved in during the summer of 2014 and haven’t had any problems but I would also advice that you try to reside in the 10 301 building if at all possible. It’s the only building with its own fitness center, mail box area and garage. Plus black appliances and wood cabinets (not the white on white look in all other buildings). I personally picked the front building because the school bus is right outside the front door of the building.
I’ve had no problem with maintenance or issues with my apartment that weren’t fixed timely. I think last winter our garage door broke due to someone running into it and the garage was left open for about 3+/- months. During that time, there were no incidents I heard of of any break-​ins or car thefts. There were cars however parked without proper stickers taking up majority spaces and I almost came home once without a space but I’m guessing those were people’s guest and not Avalon’s fault.
I’m only leaving because I’m sure my rent will increase to an amount I can’t comfortably afford on a single persons income (currently paying $ 1905 for a 1 bedroom w/​den utilities not included). If you have a spouse or roommate (two incomes), then affordability won’t be a problem.
The corner store is convenient and there’s a walking trail not to far that I take advantage of. Metro is within a 5min walk. The pool area is always inviting and life guard pleasant (language barrier but great guy the 2015 Summer). The main fitness center is nice & ²⁴⁄₇. Machines are updated and the filter water station is a great benefit. Package pickup is easy and emails are sent to your personal account once a package is received. I enjoyed the staff and have had no problems with any of them. Even with being late on rent almost every month (don’t judge, single mother here lol), they are still pleasant and don’t treat me any different then the next person if I have a question or walk in to pick up a package. The garbage area in my building is always clean. Christmas was the only time is did get a little rough. I don’t have pest problems with the exception of a centipede here or there during the summer months. Ohhhhhhh and lastly, they don’t have a business center but the guy in the office (don’t know his name but he is awesome… black slim dude). I ran out of printer ink and my son had a paper due the next day. Didn’t feel like running to Staples and he looked out. Asked if I could email my son’s report to his account and he agreed and printed it out. They get 5 stars off of that alone. It’s truly the small simple things that make big impressions (hope this review doesn’t get him in trouble). That’s truly going over and beyond.

I really enjoyed living here for the past two and a half years. Maintenance was wonderful and fixed everything in a timely manner. The apartments are nice and spacious and fairly updated. Nice gyms and pool. I really enjoy the staff that is working there now. They are friendly and helpful. My only complaint was with Monica a former manager who I found dishonest and more interested in making money. There is a high turnover of staff. I hope the staff they have now stick around.

I’ve lived here for over two years and I’ve been very happy here. The location is fabulous, you can’t get much closer to a metro station and 495. Plus there’s a full grocery store (Grosvenor Market), a mini-​mart (Meridian Market), and several playgrounds in walking distance. The staff has been pleasant and helpful, the maintenance team is speedy. I have especially enjoyed living in the «suites» building (10 301 Strathmore Hall St, listed as «301» on their apartment availability page) compared to the big building across the street (I’ve lived in both buildings). It is quieter in the «suites» and the trash room is always meticulously clean, and it’s nice having the indoor elevator and mailboxes. I also like the high ceilings, the open floor plans, and the full sized washer/​dryer in each unit. There are drawbacks, because they allow dogs (and there are lots of dogs), people don’t always clean up after them, that’s my biggest complaint, but that happens anywhere there are dogs. The workout rooms are nice, the pool is clean, and the grounds are well kept.

This is a really nice place if you want a good location and a good schools. I read what other people said and that’s true. Every time they change staff they said completely different things.
My Car was damage because the garage door (that is always broken) and they saw on the video what they wanted to see. Off course was my fault.
They are doing a garage work and if you don’t move the car at the time they want your car gets tow.
I have rats behind the wall for almost 2 months … Broken Washer Machine for another 3 months. The trash and recycle disposal is a mess. Wifi gym doesn’t work, repairs in the community areas take longer …
People don’t clean after pets and the manage office don’t do anything …
It’s just good location but I don’t know if it’s worth it.

I just moved in recently and I’m already loving it here– the staff is friendly and accomodating, the location is perfect since it is by the metro, security features make me feel protected, pet-​friendly spaces where you can walk your four-​legged friend, very clean and well-​kept community and all the amenities like a ²⁴⁄₇ gym and a pool makes living here perfect. I highly recommend this apartment.

The only reason Avalon at Grosvenor station gets a star is because of the proximity of the complex to the metro. Other than that they provided my roommate and I with the worst renting experience imaginable.
We picked Avalon because of it’s location and convenience to many different things. We did look at the Unilocal reviews before we moved in and saw the negative feedback. All we thought was «people are crazy it can’t be that bad», turns out all the negative reviews are completely true.
The turnover here with the staff is unbelievable. I swear every time I went down to the office to pick up a package there were completely new faces meaning I would receive different answers for every question. When I was looking to switch to a single when my lease was up I was quoted by one employee at a price of $ 1300 per month. I went to go sign up for the apartment and she said all that was available for the rest of the Spring would be $ 1600 and above because «the demand is so high right now.» So in the end when were notified that we needed to give Avalon notice that we wanted to move out I asked the employee who contacted me when they needed the notice by and their response was as soon as possible so they could fill the apartment no date required. I get a call a week later from a different employee saying that I was 4 days late letting them know of our decision not to renew and we would owe them $ 100 for the four days even though the apartment had been filled. Two different employees, two different answers.
The staff here does not care about the residents at all. I didn’t have an oven for a month even though I filed multiple maintenance requests through the online portal they didn’t respond until I went to the office physically to complain. But god forbid I’m four days late notifying them when I move out when they already have the apartment filled. Also, there was an ice storm in the beginning of March and the sidewalks were extremely dangerous but Avalon ran out of salt so what is their strategy? JUST LET IT FREEZE OVER AND LET THE RESIDENTS FALL ON THEIR ASS. Wouldn’t it be more simple to avoid a lawsuit and just buy more salt? Also since it was the weekend the maintenance crew was no where to be found.
The appliances are terrible, I mentioned the oven already. My bathroom sink clogged at least every other week, the doors to the closets never stayed on, pieces would fall off the fridge for no reason. The washer and dryer were so loud you could barely hear the TV.
The worst part had to be the move out/​end result. We were supposed to receive a «pre move out inspection» from someone from Avalon to tell us what was needed to fix before we left. They told my roommate and I that someone needed to be home for the inspection and it had to be during the week between 9 – 5. I take off work to stay home for the inspection, no one shows up. So we move out two weeks before our lease ends just to get the majority of the furniture out so we could clean the whole apartment the next weekend so we would still have a few days for them to let us know what needs to be fixed. I should mention since all the counters are white if you have had any minor stain, they aren’t coming out. We cleaned the apartment for a good 4 – 5 hours and head down to the front desk to turn in our keys. We turn everything in «okay you’re free to go now». They diidn’t ask if we wanted to walk through the apartment with them to make sure everything was okay, they pretty much kicked us out thinking don’t ever come back. I thought that would be the end of it.
A month later I get a letter in the mail at my new residence saying that we owe $ 350 in cleaning fees. You have to be kidding me. For a two bedroom two bath $ 350!!! The apartment definitely needed a little touch up but there was no way that little apartment costs over $ 350 to clean. I called the main office, no one could explain what the cleaning charges were for. Needless to say we lost our security deposit because of this and still owed money. So you have two weeks to pay or they bring in a third party collection fee to hunt you down, awesome.
In summary, besides location this place really sucks. Unless of course you want to blow your money and time with these idiots. I will tell everyone I know my experience and will recommend to never live at an Avalon property. Deceiving, greedy assholes.

I think this building is on the upswing! The new faces they hired around the holidays seem here to stay — and I really like that. They are all really cool. Elisabeth makes an effort to really get to know you, talking hockey with me. Cassie was so nice as to stay after closing to make sure our dog could get his food. They all treat our dog like a king too!
Maintenance is a awesome too. Ivan has also befriended my dog (are you getting that we are a big dog community? Lol) & it’s great for maintenance requests, as we don’t have to crate him if we are gone.
I work from home & it is almost always incredibly quiet. Neighbors are great & the gym is always impeccably clean.
I think the avalon was going through some growing pains with my last few reviews. I still took off the one star for the elevator that does tend to still break at times. Trash rooms are a little messy and dogs do their business everywhere… but that’s not the staff, that’s the community itself!
Only suggestions I could think of are hiring a full time weekend person, Sundays included, for package delivery. A person full-​time just for packages would be awesome too… it could eliminate a lot of confusion. They could also have a temp or someone there to man the desk at all times… my old place was staffed 24 hours & it was wonderful to always know someone is there. Granted this building is styled like condos but hey, a girl could dream!
Overall, keep it up avalon! :)

I feel like people rarely review places when they’ve had good experiences, so I wanted to take a minute to give Avalon at Grosvenor Station a «thumbs up». While it is a bit pricey and the apartments are generic «rental» style, they do a good job. The grounds always look good, parking is safe and the proximity to metro is fabulous. The maintenance staff is wonderful and the front desk staff (although there seems to be a high turnover there) are always very friendly and professional. I live on the top floor and only share one wall with one other apartment so I can’t really comment on noise that much, but I do have two large puppies and have never received a complaint from my downstairs neighbor about them being too loud. I’m really sensitive to noise so I always request a top floor. All in all, my only complaint is a recent one. My rent increase was a bit too high, in my opinion, especially the almost doubling of rent if I want to go month to month. This could be standard in this area, I’m not sure. Either way, I’ve had a great year at this building and will be sorry to leave in a couple months.

I have been very happy with my experience at Avalon so far. The price is lower than a lot of similar places around here. I’ve had nothing but positive experiences with the staff and prompt attention from the maintenance.
For the price, this has been a wonderful place. Of course, I’m coming from a basement. Can only go up from there :-D
UPDATE EDIT (9-​17-​2015) Avalon was fine, until we got our renewal and they raised our rent astronomically for the next lease term — after looking around the area we found much nicer complexes for the same price, or a similar complex for much lower. When we moved out were also hit with fees that were mentioned in other reviews that are not explained well or professionally presented. Quite disappointed. Only live here if it’s much cheaper than others in the area like we did, but either lock in the rate for 2 years or plan on moving out when your lease is up. Had to change my star rating given the unfair raise in rent. The office told me that was the «going rate» in the area which was absolutely false… I don’t blame the office on that though — clearly rent raising was a corporate decision, overall my experience with the office staff was always very good. Corporate policies seem to be the problem in this situation.

I just moved out and let me say I have never been happier to leave an apartment. This is the absolute worst living experience I have ever had and I lived in a dorm for three years. The location is great but they charge way too much. The management is the absolute worst. They are so incredibly rude and insensitive. I tried so many times to talk to them and was blown off or talked down to. Living here was a constant source of stress. That is not what you want to come home to. I am so happy to be gone. You couldn’t pay me to live there. Stay away.

The only good thing about this place is that it’s close to the freeways and the Metro. Customer service is definitely lacking to say the least. My encounters with the ladies at the leasing office were not pleasant (except during the time when we were signing the lease). Thank goodness it’s only a 1 year lease.

Going to be completely honest because Avalon has caused my husband and I to go into debt for $ 7K all because of their new management, their lies and miscommunication! We moved in 2 years ago and initially really liked Avalon. At the time back in April, we had to FIGHT to rent our apartment because demand was so high! We have supported all of their parties, we were extremely nice to the staff, and we thought that they were trying to do a decent job with the property. Is this a luxury apartment complex? NO! But it has all of the basics that you need and issues here and there can be somewhat resolved if you are reasonable UNTIL you decide to leave.
What we did not know is that the management apparently screws you once you decide to break your lease or upon ending of your lease. In September, we came to Krizia who told us that if we wanted to break our lease, it would only cost us 1 month rent. In November (when we actually found a place to live) and started advertising our apartment for rent, Monica (the new CS manager) told us that their policy conveniently changed and the new policy is that we are rent responsible until the end of our lease (which for us was April which was 5 months!!!) WHAT?! How can you just change the policy? PLUS, most complexes do a maximum 2 month penalty and that is all!
We were appalled given the very deceiving policy change but there was nothing we could do except to talk to management about our limited options! Here’s where it got even more interesting! Fawn, Monica and Krizia all reassured us that they rent apartments like cupcakes and it will take MAXIMUM 4 – 6 weeks for them to rent our apartment given that it’s in a prime location, etc. In fact, on numerous occasions, they have stated that there hasn’t been an apartment that was on the market for more than 6 weeks!!! Their demand is that high! We believed them because we had to be aggressive when we rented our apartment 2 years prior! So we set a move out date to beginning of January and since then have been paying for our rent like idiots because that is exactly what Avalon does to you — they conveniently screw you over!
They lie to you that they can rent your apartment in 4 – 6 weeks but in reality it actually takes them 5+ MONTHS to actually rent it. So you are stuck paying your rent like a dummie and cannot do anything about subleasing at this point bc guess what? You already moved out! I get it! Why on earth would Avalon advertise your apartment for rent when they have empty apartments they need to get rid off? Obviously it is a very malicious business practice and it works on everyone because they lock you in with a contract and then CONVENIENTLY change their policy so that you end up being rent responsible for MONTHS while your apartment is sitting on the market completely empty. Meanwhile, you go into debt paying essentially 2 mortgages for MONTHS!
We’ve been following up with the management for MONTHS now about our apartment and every time they say ‘sorry, not rented yet’. Meantime, their headquarters is even worse! They don’t notify you when the rent is due after you have moved out so if you are not proactive and on top of your crap — you get screwed even more!!! We are still waiting on our security deposit and the headquarters’ management to address our issue. All I can just say is WOW! Prime location with a very deceiving management! And this is a complete slap on the face given that we were so nice to everyone and have always recommended Avalon to other couples looking to rent in the N. Bethesda area. Thank you for screwing people who were once loyal to you! Great business practice!!! SHAME ON YOU!!!

While this community is in an amazing location that’s about all it has going for it. If you have dogs DO NOT LIVE HERE. They spray pesticides every 4 – 6 weeks without warning and do not put signs up. Whatever it is they use makes many dogs sick (throwing up etc) to the point that a visit to the emergency vet it required. The doors to my building constantly malfunction (one’s lock has been broken for at least 4 months and the other constantly just locks me out). The staff does the bare minimum to resolve complaints and concerns and can often be rude and dismissive. The apartment floors are very poorly constructed. I can hear my upstairs neighbor whenever they so much as walk across the floor. Its too expensive for what you get.

If you’d asked me 2 years ago when I moved in, I would’ve given this place 5 stars — amazing location, great management, clean etc. Over the last few months this place has gone DRASTICALLY down hill. The management is HORRIBLE. They care about one thing: money. You can see this when you walk into the leasing office to pick up a package. Do the associates acknowledge you? Nope. If they’re with a prospective resident they’ll completely ignore current residents until you’re forced to walk out. Don’t worry y’all, my time isn’t important or anything. This has happened on multiple occasions. Oh and if they lose a package? Apparently not their fault.
My guests have had their cars towed because although they *usually* give out parking passes every month, sometimes they’ll forget. When they forget, you have to go through the office. Of course they never answer the phone at the office and are closed all the time for stupid reasons (ex: they were closed one weekday because staff was doing a volunteer project all day).
The staff is completely incompetent. As one of the Unilocalers below mentioned, the staff changes every week. No one knows what’s going on and there is zero communication between staff members, let alone between the office and corporate. If you absolutely need to deal with anyone in the office, be sure to work with Jada or Krizia. They are the only 2 who have been there for a significant amount of time and have any idea what they’re doing (these 2 are the only reason that I am giving this review 2 stars over 1). They are also always friendly which is more than I can say for the rest of the people there.
Lockouts. Lockouts ALL the time. The door to my building has broken multiple times in the past year and each time it takes weeks to fix. Nothing like walking your dog at 11 PM as a single female and getting locked out (in a neighborhood that has had some serious security issues in the past few months – robbery, kidnapping, car break ins, etc). Apparently this is not considered an emergency.
**They do not notify you when they enter your apartment – THIS is my biggest gripe. Oh, correction, they claim that by emailing you at 3 PM telling you that they did enter your apartment is considered notification. Not only did they do that, they broke my very nice and expensive shower head that I purchased when I moved in as I couldn’t stand the moldy broken one that was installed. They took all of my light bulbs that I paid my own money for and replaced them (this would not be a problem if they left the old, but perfectly good ones, behind). They claimed that because they gave me notice, that they are not responsible. Yes, that totally makes sense. Horrible, simply horrible.
Do yourself a favor and move next door to the Meridian.

DO NOT MOVE HERE! It looks so pretty and nice right next to the Metro station but it is hiding a very ugly inside. The staff is horrible. To list some issues we’ve had:
— A gas leak that maintenance told us wasn’t a big deal but the gas company told us to get out immediately and put red tags on our door. It took days of begging for them to fix the hole in the gas pipe.
— Car break ins. They happen all the time. Mine happened in July, it is now December and we have been asking EVERY SINGLE WEEK for them to replace the lights that are out on the parking deck. Nothing. First it was they didn’t have a ladder, then it was an electrical problem, now, they just flat out say they aren’t doing it. So unsafe and they could care less.
— Heating/​AC issues. Bills are outrageous because they don’t ever fix the heat/​AC. Santos the maintenance guy is an ass who just hates having to do his job every day and lets you know it. They turn off the AC in the summer and heat up the hallways so your AC has to do double the work (and double the bill) and don’t check the heaters in the winter and just let you run it and run it and beg for some help.
— The staff changes weekly. Good luck ever seeing the same person twice because they get the hell out as fast as they can.
— My bathtub wasn’t installed correctly so it creaks nonstop whenever I shower. Maintenance told me its too expensive to fix so they refuse. I guess until I fall into the apartment below naked, at least.
— Recently we were told there had been ‘security issues.’ Well, when we looked it up in the police report, it wasn’t just a ‘security issue.’ Avalon let a guy move in who not only crashed his vehicle into the apt. complex but then proceeded to kidnap a child out of an apartment and hold it hostage in the stairwell. No joke. Avalon didn’t even tell us the truth about who they are letting move in.
— The cameras are never working and there aren’t many of them. Don’t believe the safety hype, they will just laugh when you ask to see the camera footage of your break in.
Don’t let the pretty landscaping and work out rooms fool you, you will be miserable every single day you live here. We can’t wait until our lease is up so we can get out. Save yourself the headache and move next door in the Meridian.

Be very wary of this community. They are bad mojo. Looks nice on the outside, however they are very low end material on the inside. The main corporate office is ONLY interested in taking your money. I have been waiting months to get my security deposit back. Making me jump through hoops just for my money.
Just plan to lose your deposit upon moving in, then you won’t be too dissapointed!

Terrible apartment. Everything in the apartments are cheap and falling apart. Service is artificially friendly but in reality unhelpful and useless. Don’t waste your money on this place.

Do NOT move here! My husband and I had such a horrible move-​out experience, I would not recommend it to anyone. We had been forewarned by friends that Avalon unfairly charges its customers extra money/​does not return security deposits, but we had no idea how bad it actually was until we had our own move-​out experience. I am most certainly reporting them to the BBB or Montgomery County.
Here’s what happened: my husband and I cleaned and vacuumed the heck out of our apartment before we moved out, because we heard how strict Avalon apartments were in not returning deposits.
Our lease end date was Friday, 7÷6÷12, so come that Friday, I got stuck with something at work so I called the Avalon office and spoke with John (who is no longer there). I asked him if I would be charged anything extra if I returned the keys and key fobs on Saturday, 7÷7÷12 instead of that 7÷6÷12. He confirmed that I would not be charged anything extra. So I returned the keys on 7÷7÷12 and confirmed with John AGAIN that we would not be charged anything extra.
Lo and behold, when we received a letter from Avalon corporate about our security deposit a few weeks later, not only did we NOT get any of our deposit back, but we OWED them about more than $ 50 because «we did not drop our keys off on our financial end date.» They also charged us for an apartment cleaning, saying that the stove and tub were dirty. They sent us online photos of the tub and the stove that were NOT as dirty as we left them. We had scrubbed them very well. It is complete B.S.
I called the Avalon corporate office, and they said there was nothing they could do about the charge for not returning our keys on our financial end date. I called the Avalon at Grosvenor Station office twice (the first time they told me to call back the next day when the manager was there), and finally got in touch with Bridgette. She ALSO said there was nothing she could do since John no longer worked there.
Another major gripe I had with Avalon was that the building doors and garage doors (which are supposed to only be acccessible by a key fob or garage door opener) were constantly open/​unlocked so that ANYONE could just walk in. Not safe AT ALL. THAT’S HOW MY $ 300 BIKE WAS STOLEN FROM THE «PRIVATE» GARAGE. When I got back from a trip overseas, I found only a sawed-​through lock where my bike used to be in the garage. One of our neighbors confirmed that the garage doors had been wide open for a few days while I was away. I told the front office about it, and they told me to file a police report. Needless to say, I’ll never see that bike again.
During the two years we lived there, they would shut the water off during the weekdays for maintenance reasons with not a lot of notice. I had to stay with a friend one night so I could shower before work, and then got home that evening only to find a notice saying that the water shut-​off had been moved to the next day.
Bottom line: Avalon is clean, looks nice, and is near the metro, but they don’t care enough about the safety of their residents and their corporate office unfairly charges residents during move-​out.

I wish I could give this place less than 1 star.
At first, the community is great. The staff is friendly and helpful. The premises are clean and kept up, but then you live there for more than a day. I live in building 322 and there is no elevator. This is fine because I am capable of walking up stairs, but let’s talk about moving without an elevator. It is sheer hell. If it wasn’t for movers, there would be no way that I would be able to move anything. Also, I had a security breach that got blamed on ME for apparently not knowing how to lock my own apartment door. Excuse me, I am old enough and experienced enough to lock my own door. Melissa over in the Leasing Office was rude and unhelpful when I was concerned with my safety and security. I pay over $ 2000 for a ²⁄₂ yet they can’t even keep a door locked? That’s not a huge surprise since it takes them several attempts to get in a maintence request. AND they make it seem like they did you a favor by completing the request. Also, if you have a dog and alarm and fill it out on the form, they make it seem like yoiu never told them and again, blame you. Do not live here unless you want to be treated like you are incompetent. The prices are too high granted the place is convenient. Try the older complex around the corner. You’ll save money and stress.
