I like to put it in the category of the kind of feeling you would get if you thought the rapture came or the end of the world, and you kind of got left behind.
It’s very depressing because there’s no more stores. I remember the mall being happy and lively and fun, now it’s just sad and depressing.
Kind of like a childhood best friend that went to collage and changed for the worst.

The mall is dead. Literally. All the stores are gone except for a few. I guess it’s going to be replaced by something? Don’t bother coming here.

DON’T GO TO THIS MALL TO SHOP! It is 96% empty. Many of the businesses that USED to be here are closed or no longer at this location, and because it is a mall, it is hard for Unilocal to document. THIS IS THE CURRENT MALL DIRECTORY:
It is deceiving, because the PF Chang’s is out front, and the Dave and Busters has a constant weekend crowd, and you see the Lord & Taylor’s out front and think, «Maybe we’ll give it a tr-​NOOOOO! It is a literal façade. It feels like an empty movie set inside. The only store on the 1^st floor is a jewelry store, and then, nothing.
But if you want to film a zombie apocalypse movie, or get asbestos poisoning, PRIME REAL ESTATE.

I’m in my early 20s and I remember when this mall used to be POPPING. They had pretty much every store you could think of, Dave and Busters was always packed, and the food court had about a million choices. The Borders was HUGE, if I remember correctly I think it spanned multiple floors. Montgomery Mall paled in comparison to this place. You had to usually hunt down a parking spot. Valet parking was awesome!
Fast forward 15 years, and this mall is about to be shut down. Westfield decided to keep pouring money into Montgomery Mall, and it is now the dominant mall in MoCo. Many stores and restaurants that used to be at White Flint migrated there or Friendship Heights. The 3 stores that remain are Lord & Taylor, Dave & Busters, and PF Changs.
It’s kind of sad actually. Like I said, I remember this mall in its heyday. It’s now just sitting around, waiting to get demolished. I do enjoy going to Dave and Busters, though.

I don’t really want to list this as one star but there isn’t a neutral option. The mall for the most part is closed. Currently they are undergoing construction in addition to some ownership change. The only stores remaining that are still operational are Dave and Busters as well as PF Changs. There may be one salon and one jewelry store technically open, but the 50%-75% off signs as well as moving boxes near the front door and empty windows indicate they only have a few days left. Hopefully the place will revitalize in the near futures.

I miss the days (unfortunately I was a kid and couldn’t truly appreciate it) when this mall was a real rival to Montgomery Mall if not the top spot in Montgomery County. Inside the mall is boarded up a few places left but that will be gone.

Sad to see this being turned into mixed zoned land with a prospected town center like property going up like that even makes sense in MARYLAND.

To add to Mike B.‘s review of the White Flint Mall, I do want to say that if you love Pottery Barn and William’s Sonoma, they have some great «Store Closing» …AT THIS MALL… sales going on. DEEP discounts on everything remaining in the stores. And since they are a couple of the stores remaining, as others have said; hopefully they will just end it soon because it’s pretty depressing. Almost eerily so at this point. Zombie Apocalypse anyone?

If you want a mall where you can go around and look at empty store fronts, White Flint mall has got you covered. Well, more than covered. Entire wings of the mall sit as dead limbs on a tree.
White Flint Mall, better known as «Ghost-​Town USA» is going through a slow and steady decline, almost to the fact of not even being a mall. Because a mall is a collective group of stores located in one place.
White Flint Mall– is now a couple of stores located in separate sections of the mall.
Pottery Barn just gave word that it is closing too
The H&M looks like it went through a zombie apocalypse. The Zombies of course being thin, emo, in-​style zombies that like good deals.
My mother and I paid a visit to the White Flint Movie Theater. Long, narrow theaters, hide screens slightly bigger than my friend Eric’s large screen TV. Picture quality is as if pushed through a vintage Instagram filter. Prices at concession are still sky high as per usual. Customer service is awkward teen inspired first-​jobbiness.
If you want to go see a movie where you can almost guarantee you will get a seat– White Flint is the spot for you.
G-​d only knows how much longer it will be there. An usher came in and counted the people in the theater as the movie was playing. I’m not astro-​physicist… but doesn’t your computer tell you how many tickets you sold for that showing? Or did you use an Atari to ring me up?

Oh! a good mall is doing the slow walk to its ultimate death :(
With only a handful of stores still open, this mall is more of a ghost town than a shopping mall :(
Can someone please end the pain and shut it down now!

Sadly this mall feels abandoned, it’s going to get demolished soon, however that isn’t that bad.
The prices in the stores are amazing, you can expect about 40% discounts in most products, and there’s some good restaurants in the mall
The parking is huge, and since the mall is almost empty, it never gets full.
It’s in a convinient location, which is Rockville pike.
I actually kinda feel sad this mall is gonna close, because it has potential as it is.
I do enjoy going to eat at cheesecake factory, and I should visit P. F Chang’s soon.
EDIT: Well, it got demolished. RIP White Flint Mall, you’ll be missed.

I don’t know when White Flint Mall will actually be closing its doors, but I can tell you that as of Saturday March 16, the Hallmark store on the first floor had begun its clearance sale — the entire store is 25% off.

This mall does NOT have it going on.
I went here recently to eat at Cheesecake Factory with some friends. The place was empty. Flat out empty on the day after CHRISTmas. Ridiculous. The only shops of note seem to be Cheesecake, Dave & Busters (although I hear it’s not that hoppin’), and an Italian restaurant across the way from Cheesecake.
The funny thing was, standing outside of Cheesecake, I was looking up at this escalator and asked a friend if they were expanding or something. Found out it used to be a HUGE Barnes & Noble. Too bad they’re closed down now.
I hear this place used to be bomb diggity back in the day, but it’s the here-​and-​now and it stinks to high heaven.

White Flint may not have too many stores, but it has always served my shopping/​entertainment needs since I’ve lived in the area!
My apartment is across the street from the mall so it’s awesome for me location-​wise.
I LOVE Dave and Buster’s and often go to the on at this location. It’s also nice that they have a variety of restaurants (PF Chengs, Cheesecake Factory, Bertucci’s, etc.) and a movie theater!
It’s sad they they plan to tear it down eventually =(

What is up with this mall?
There is absolutely NOTHING here.
The only good thing about this mall is Cheesecake Factory and Dave & Busters if you like that kinda thing.
There are barely any good stores in this mall. The Bloomingdale’s has closed, and when it was open barely carried any good merch. Definitely not like the Tyson’s store. Parking is pretty easy here, unless you try to park near the main restaurants.
I never actually see anyone here shopping. I’m surprised this mall has survived this long. The only thing I can think is that the restaurants are the ones who keep this place going. They have great potential. They are in a desirable area, where people have to make a fairly good income to live. So why not upgrade this mall, and get more stores to come in?
I really try to avoid this mall — there is nothing here worth going to.

Pretty cool mall. I like how quiet it is here as well.
BP and I have eaten at Bertucci’s, Cheesecake Factory, and P.F. Chang’s and had great experiences!
I’ve also visited the VS, movie theater and Gamestop here :)

White Flint is as best as it gets if you’re looking for a peaceful, low-​key shopping experience in the Rockville area.
I frequently shop here, and I always leave as a happy customer. It’s easy to find parking, it’s never overcrowded nor overwhelming (in terms of size and selection of stores), and my size is always in stock. Best laid-​back shopping experience, always. My favorite H&M, Banana Republic, Lord & Taylor, Bloomingdale’s (this Bloomies is closing soon, so they are currently having a store-​wide sale, 25−50% off everything) is there. They also have your usual Bath & Body Works, Nine West, Victoria’s Secret, Gap, etc.
There is some talk that this mall is going to be teared down in coming years, and is going to be converted into «an outdoor mix of housing, new shops, offices,» so better get your shop on at this location before it happens.
PS-​They kiddie train that runs through the mall is still running, and the most enthusiastic, warm train conductor is still conducting! :)

I actually like this mall, but it’s a bit far from me. Also, don’t think that you can get here easily by metro as the White Flint metro stop is still a 15 – 20 minute walk away. However, if you take the 48 bus south, it’ll drop you off very near the mall and that bus runs pretty frequently, so that’s also a good option.
Anyway, the mall is pretty small and for a Sunday afternoon, it was incredibly empty. However, they have a decent selection of stores here including Banana Republic, Gap, H&M, Bloomingdale’s, and Lord and Taylor. Unfortunately, that’s pretty much the extent of all the stores I went to since nothing else was of much interest.
Overall, if you’d like to shop in those stores while in peace, this is the place to go for that.

Wow, it seems like the only stores that get business at this mall are actually restaurants. Cheesecake Factory and PF Chang’s always seem to be super busy, while I can’t seem to say the same for the rest of the mall (well, Dave and Buster’s get somewhat crowded, depending on the time of day).
Hooray for me though because that means that H&M, Banana Republic, and William Sonoma will be well stocked, tidy, and not overflowing with customers.

This used to be my mom’s favorite mall. She remembers when Elizabeth Taylor (my mom’s style icon) came to do the ribbon cutting for this Mall.
However, that was then, and this is now.
Sadly, White Flint has become a ghost-​town of a mall — but this can actually work in your favor! Because of how empty this place is (except for the D&B, PF Chang’s and Cheesecake Factory), it means that there are never crowds (not even at Xmas), and that whatever item that you’re looking for will probably still be available!
There is also a goofy train thing that drives kids around the Mall, which can get a little annoying at times.
