Specialties

We specialize in donuts, pastries, cookies (we are famous for our sugar cookies) and other sweet treats. We also offer homemade breads in a variety of flavors.

Monday through Friday we provide lunch specials from 11 AM to 1 PM and you can get any of our delicious subs any time you are hungry!

History

Established in 1993.

The North Branch Bakery started out as a joint venture between two women who met at a local farmer’s market. A short time later, one (the current owner) bought out the other and has been operating it ever since!

Business Owner

I started out as a stay-​at-​home mom who earned spare cash selling produce from our 20-​acre garden. In 1993, I met a woman at the Farmer’s Market in Lapeer and decided to join her in starting the North Branch Bakery.

A short while later, I purchased the bakery in whole and have been operating it ever since. It has been a journey that has proven to be very enriching as far as meeting new people, and I’ve had the wonderful opportunity to provide thousands of people with sweet treats and lunch specials that I am proud to say are known around the world.

I am blessed to have three successful, loving children and a hard-​working husband who have supported me every step of the way. Without them, I wouldn’t be where I am.
