Went here with my parents and it was pretty good! We got the onion pakoras as appetizers that had a great taste and good sauce to go with it. Crunchy. We also got the spicy tandoori chicken and they’re not joking when they say spicy! They literally stick green peppers into the chicken to add more spice. It was a taddd dry for me but I did enjoy it. We also got the chicken manchurian gravy which was flavorful as well. My dad got the goat biryani and it was alright, that was a little dry for me too. The garlic naan was delicious, and we paired it with a spicy aloo dish that we all enjoyed. Overall, it was a good experience but if you don’t do spicy, watch out! I literally had tears in my eyes!

Excellent Indian food if you don’t mind a little spice. The dum biryani is just perfect everytime

So it seems that this place @ North Brunswick off Rte.27 is where the legacy was born, unlike popular belief(Oak Tree). Décor wise don’t expect any fanciness, they are like any other typical Indian Dine in restaurant but its a clean and well kept area. I go to Paradise for one and one thing only and that is Biryani, lately Paradise has grown into a full fledged restaurant serving A LOT more than than Biryani, in a way it’s good but in a way that’s bad too, you kinda deviate from the target. This particular location also serves weekend lunch buffets @ $ 13, Although I did not opt for the Buffet it looked good enough that I wouldn’t mind paying $ 13, I mean its only a wise option since Chicken Biryani is on the Buffet Menu why pay $ 13 for ONE order for Biryani when you can get unlimited serving along with other option for the same price. We took the Mutton Biryani(Which I always go for) and it was delicious, although I must point out this location felt more home cook then Oak Tree which feels more commercial.

Went to the Restaurant for dinner, I would say the ambiance was Okay and the food was horrible. I ordered a egg biriyani and some bread and a curry. I guess went there with lot of expectation because of the name but disappointed. The biriyani was cold and the vegetables soggy I hated this. The nan was good and the curry was okay. I will never go back. I told the person at the checkout about the food and he didn’t eve care about it, probably it’s a usual comment for him.

I’m a Hyderbadi and I love Biryani and Paradise Biryani Point chain has been the standard place just for that over the years and at various locations. This particular branch on route 27 is my favorite which sets it apart from others. All types of dishes be it vegetarian or non-vegetarian, is a level better here when compared to any Indian restaurant. I especially love their Paneer Tikka and Aloo Methi for veg and of course chicken Biryani, chicken 65 for non-veg. Their egg curry is also my favorite :-) I hope they keep up their good standards unlike some other restaurants do when they have great demand.

This place brings the heat, but the fire does not mask the complex flavors in the dishes. As might be expected, the biryani was the standout among the dishes we ordered. Pakoras were light, crispy and not greasy. A paneer dish was the least good of the things we ordered, but the sauce was so chock-a-block with fresh ginger, we ate every drop. Management checked in often to make sure the food was satisfactory. The only negative: only one dessert available that night(not fair to put rasgullah on the menu then not have it!).

This place does indeed have the best chicken dum biryani in central Jersey. Their chicken boti tikka is also the best I’ve eaten especially when ordered spicy but don’t go crazy with it. The sitting arrangement has actually improved but still quite secular and a bit boring especially with that 1970’s yellow glass wall art the back, which looks a bit outdated. But all of that is taken away because or the good food. Their mix BBQ platter is also pretty good. Their goal biryani is not too impressive, stick to chicken.

I had their Mirchi ka Saalan, Chilly Chicken, and Paneer Butter Masala. Everything was good. I ordered mild spicy but still it was spicy enough. So be careful about the spice level when you order. Go for one level down. Overall experience was good. I will order again.

Another of our weekend comfort food favourites. Best Biryani we’ve had on the east coast! All their goat meat dishes(especially the coconut goat fry) are also fabulous. Appetizer Chicken manchurian is perfect to enjoy at home, over a game on TV. Their extremely efficient and friendly waiter Sabi recently left, and we haven’t been back since then, so hoping the service hasn’t gone down. The place could do with a makeover — too basic and at peak hours they do find it hard to keep up with the spilt food sometimes.

I was surprised at the flexibility on heat factor on their food. I ordered chicken biryani and mango lassi both of which were quite good and substantial quantity. I had half for dinner and the other half for lunch the next day. I plan to visit them more to try out their other dishes.

I am giving 1 star because it seems I cannot not write a review without a star. OMG! The to-go sucks. Biryani both mutton and chicken was horrible. Honestly when you say biryani it is supposed to have spices and not just plain white rice with some red colors. No salt, No masala whatsoever and the chicken smelled, like it was stale. I had ordered to-go biryani’s for a pot luck imagine how embarrassing it is when the food you brought to pot-luck sucks.

I’ve been to a weekend buffet and for dinner. Both times, the food was great. Great biryani both times. The buffet had tasty and interesting vegetables, which is something you rarely get in Indian restaurants, good curries, and daal that tasted homemade. I’m definitely coming back!

Ok, not certain why this place has only 3 stars. It deserves at least 4. Meant to go to another Indian restaurant in the same strip mall, but that had a long line for Saturday lunch, so ended up going to Paradise Biryani Point. Now, I am not the biggest of fans of Indian buffets, but theirs was actually good. It was good in that it was unique, not your standard Indian buffet Punjabi fare. They had unique southern dishes like green mango dal and tangy tamarind kozhumbu. Their dry coconut-base chicken and shrimp dishes were also amazingly rich and spicy. The absence of cream-based finish in a majority of their dishes set them apart from the standard Indian buffet experience. Hyderabadi biryani is what this place is known for, and I can say it was incredible. The biryani meat was also of good quality and cooked just right. Prepare to stuff yourself with biryani at this place. Selection of desserts was small. Their jalebis are not worth trying. The carrot halwa was to die for, and comes highly recommended. Apparently Paradise Biryani Point is a chain. There are a few locations in the greater NYC area and also in Texas. And I’ve heard that not all branches hold up to the same quality of food, so keep that in mind if you’re trying another location. But, I am definitely going to this location again soon!

Biryani is the best! I switch between goat and chicken biryani and I love them both. Some time they mess up the spice factor but it’s understandable with all the crowd

Supposed to be good biriyani. And their prices are premium too. — close to $ 170 for a tray of biriyani. I did not mind paying that when the quality was good. However for the past few times it’s bad consistently. Too salty once, burnt another time, spoiled after a few hours the last time. I am not going here any more.

We ordered for take out from this restaurant. The guy said it will take a ½ hour time. So we went after ½ hour. The food was not ready when we went there, we had wait for another 15 – 20 minutes. Food was not good. Biryani was disappointing. The Kadai Chicken which we ordered was even worse. Overall, not so good experience.

Was very authentic and good in the early days. Even their buffet had good chicken and mutton biriyani. Later on quality has decreased a lot. Recently it has become so tasteless. Nothing tastes good anymore here. Forget about the good biriyani. Way below the standards of good food.

I meant to do this review when I went to this place the first time, a few months ago. I was happily impressed. But I’ve been out of town since then, and am now looking forward to returning to the restaurant. When it first opened I had gone in just to look at the menu. I was a bit dismayed, since the initial impression made it look like a fast-food joint. Paper menus were stacked by the register, and a customer was paying for his take-out order. But then I went back to have a look, and saw a regular restaurant with tables, and nice, rather dim lighting. It’s not huge, and not upscale, but it’s a definite sit-down restaurant with a pleasant atmosphere. I went to eat there on a weeknight with my adult daughter. We were greeted in a very welcoming manner. There was Indian background music playing, but it was not the usual stuff. It was more like club music Indian style, and was played at the perfect volume, i.e. loud enough to have me bouncing in my seat, but still soft enough to be able to have a conversation. It was so good that I wanted to find out the name. Not a problem, they even brought over the CD so that I could copy it correctly. Great workout music! Nothing was a problem here. The restaurant was chilly, and the heat was immediately raised. Service was friendly and exceptionally good. I had one of their signature biryanis, my daughter ordered another dish, and we shared them. The food was absolutely delicious. And even better, the prices were exceptionally reasonable for Indian food, which can sometimes get a little pricey. They didn’t charge extra for rice, which some of the more pretentious Indian restaurants now do. I hope they haven’t raised them, or just a little, in the time I’ve been away. I’m looking at their take-out menu, which states that all of their meat is Halal, if that is important to you. I also just checked their website, and it seems they’ve added two more locations in North Jersey to this one, and to the three they have in India — two in Bangalore and one in Hyderabad. This place is authentic! And definitely worth 5 stars for food and service. All in all, this was a wonderful experience, one that I’m looking forward to repeating very soon.
