Bad news. We will never go to this place again, never! They are greedy and dishonest. Stay away from them and go elsewhere.

Recently took our 5^th wheel in for repair. Completely satisfied. Had to replace arm on awning. We were back within two hours to pick it up. We have had other repairs done there within the last several years. Always satisfied. Friendly and corteous. Wouldn’t go anywhere else.

Poor Sales rep. Chris did not want to show us a variety of Class C Motorhomes per our request. All he kept asking was our price range and was hesitant to even take us to the lot see what they had in stock. We told them we were flexible if we saw something we liked. Eventually we purchased a new Class C because we loved the floor plan but the price we agreed to over the phone was totally different once we came in to sign and they had no legitimate reason for the increase. Hal Hall (manager) and Chris came up with every excuse in the book for the increase sometimes even contradicting each other. Bottom line had we not already got a cashiers check for over $ 15,000 to put down and already purchase insurance prior to coming in to finalize the deal which was requested of us. Then we would have cancelled and walked away from the deal. Bottom line, unless they know up front that you have good credit and money to actually purchase then they really don’t give you the time of day. The RV’s actually sell themselves and Hal and Chris know this so they are getting paid regardless. Customer service is obviously not a priority at General RV Brownstown. I will never purchase there again, nor will I EVER recommend this location.

Great place. Had some issues in the past but they seem to be working on making it better

We needed an RV with a bathroom in it. This was critical to the success of our outdoor wedding, which had no flush toilets nearby. This would give our guests a clean, private restroom. We also knew it could be hot in Michigan in July (just not this year, right?), so having a nice air conditioned room for the bride to hang out at before the wedding would be a nice bonus. General RV had a few different options and we chose a large 30 foot Winnebago (Class A) that also had a slide-​out section.
The «catch» was in the summer peak season, you need to rent the RV for a whole week at a time minimum. No problem to us, we’re usually tent campers and this would be camping in luxury and the first part of our honeymoon!
The RV was very clean inside when we got it. It had just about anything you can imagine: stove, fridge, microwave, TV, shower, bathroom, bedroom, DVD player, couch, etc. Lots and lots of room. It was very easy setting up the rental and when we went to pick up the RV there were no issues. They schedule you a pickup time so you can get a quick «crash course» on how to use all the equipment on board. It’s all very easy to use once you’re shown the way, just a little different seeing all this stuff in a vehicle!
Returning the RV was also a breeze. There is a refundable deposit you get back if you bring the thing back in 1 piece. They were pretty quick to get us our deposit back. It was a great experience for us and one I hope to repeat someday (if gas prices don’t go to $ 10 a gallon).
