Walsh University is an educational institution that provides a range of undergraduate and graduate programs. It has an enrollment of more than 3,000 students. The university operates a 136-acre main campus and satellite campuses in Akron, Medina and Canfield in Ohio. Walsh University offers over 50 programs in the areas of education, counseling, business management, physical therapy and theology. It also provides programs in the fields of nursing, humanities, mathematics, language and letters, and social and behavioral sciences. The university additionally offers an accelerated degree program for working adults. Walsh University provides licensure, outreach and reading endorsement programs. Its division of humanities provides programs in communication, history, liberal arts and international studies. The university offers various athletic activities, including baseball, softball, football and tennis.
History
Established in 1960.
Walsh University was established in 1960 as a liberal arts Catholic university. Today, in addition to being a top-notch institution of higher education, Walsh also has several facilities available for hosting meetings, conferences, weddings and other special events.
