History

Established in 1988.

Master Jung, Un Hak founded Alpha Tae Kwon Do Academy when he moved to the United States from Korea. In 2003 he sold the school to Chelmsford residents Andrew & Michelle Rollinson who have owned and operated Alpha ever since.

Alpha is a member of Shidokan International, an organization that not only provides accreditation for all ranks and appointments issued at Alpha but also ensures that the techniques and strategies taught at Alpha are of the highest quality.

Students at Alpha earn certified rank in Goju-Ryu Karate-Do using a curriculum handed down in direct line from Chojun Miyagi (Okinawa, 1888 – 1953). Alpha regularly attends regional tournaments, and have a very high success rate due to the quality of our instruction. In 2011 the Rollinsons changed the name to Alpha Martial Arts Academy.
