Where do I start on just how bad our stay was!
First, we were traveling with an elderly person who used a walker I told the girl who made the reservation, she told us there was a slight incline to get to the room which was an understatement the incline was deep in the pavement was broken my mom nearly fell. There were no handrails to get her in or out of the shower. So do not go there if you have any kind of physical handicaps.
Then when we turn down the beds to go to sleep we discovered they were only flat sheets not fitted covering the mattress and those sheets did not fit the bed, leaving The mattress under the pillows exposed. Gross… Who knows who was sleeping there before you. We called the front desk and they sent more ill fitting flat sheets.
Then let’s talk about blueberries and their free breakfast special. $ 3.99 for two eggs, toast and coffee… not willing to spend an extra $ 5.00 for bacon I ordered the special… two scrambled eggs which were under cooked and had a brown hue! I sent them back and she returned with over cooked dried out eggs. Oh and if the waitress tops off your free cup they charge you 2.50. The rest of the menu is way over priced so when they apply the discount your still over paying for the bad meal they serve.
So when we told the lady at the desk… about the problems with the room she responded with a unsympathetic «I know, sorry for your inconvenience»
I would like to say you get what you pay for but in my opinion the rate we were charged was not that cheap!

I only stayed for one night and we paid little under $ 100 so not bad pricing wise, the lady at the front desk was very nice and she explained everything that you needed to know, got the coupon for the free breakfast which was nice! Newly renovated, great stay for a great price! Pool is open till 11pm!

Great Experience! My husband and I decided to stay overnight in North Conway at the last minute. Most places were booked so we took what we could by staying here. We had low expectations due to some reviews but luckily we were pleasantly surprised. We stayed in a room that was in a building in the back. It was quiet, clean and comfortable. In the morning we ate at the attached restaurant and had a friendly, knowledgeable waitress. We had a yummy breakfast that included eggs Benedict, homemade hash and the best blueberry muffins ever. This hotel worked for us in a pinch and we would definitely stay here again. The price is right:)

Meh. Stayed here recently with some friends on a trip to North Conway. It was affordable (read, cheap) and you pretty much get what you pay for. No major complaints, but definitely nothing special. The room itself was pretty standard and underwhelming.
It came with a «free breakfast», which seemed like a nice thought, but after reading the fine print the free breakfast covered $ 3.79 worth of food on the breakfast menu (with the average breakfast dish costing $ 8.00+).
One thing that really grossed me out was that the pool and hot tub area were surrounded by carpeting. Certainly not the most sanitary thing in the world.
All in all, I would not stay here again. There are far too many cute bed and breakfasts and local hotels to spend money on in the North Conway area.

Our friends scheduled us at the Yankee Clipper Inn since they were bringing their dog — and the hotel accepts pets. We booked two rooms with two double beds (each). In our group were four adults and two children, total.
We arrived around 4:30 on a Saturday in late September 2010. After a 3 ½-​hour drive, we just wanted to get to our rooms, freshen up and go and grab dinner. We parked and the guys started to unload the car, while my friend and I went to check us in. We walked into the lobby, which was quaintly decorated, yet no one was at the front desk. There was not a desk bell, nor anyone around to greet us. Some other guests were also looking for some assistance. Finally, my friend used her cell phone to call the hotel in hopes that a ringing phone would bring someone back to the front. After about 10 rings, someone did come to the front desk (and my friend quickly hung up).
The woman checked us in, explained where our rooms were, and gave us our «Blueberry Muffin Restaurant» coupons for a free breakfast (or for almost $ 4 off if, we didn’t choose the free breakfast option). While the woman at the front desk was pleasant enough, she wasn’t overly welcoming, nor was she able to multi-​task. The other guests who were looking for her while we were originally waiting wanted to purchase laundry detergent for the washing machines. The woman stopped what she was doing (checking us in) and went over to them to attend to them — completely ignoring us (even though she’d already started assisting us). This wasn’t a very good first-​impression, but it wasn’t so bad that it upset us or anything. She gave us each our room keys (which, by the way, was an actual KEY… like an old-​fashioned key!) and sent us on our way.
We got to our 1^st floor rooms and unpacked. I noticed that there were no peepholes on the door. The doors were quite thin (meaning, it wouldn’t take anyone more than a bump to break the door down, if they really wanted to), and the locks were typical «home» locks — you used the key to unlock the door which you’d have to remember to re-​lock the door handle when you left; it wasn’t «automatic». There was a «chain» for additional «security» on the door.
The room was OK: it had a TV with remote, two drawers, and a bedside table /​drawer unit (on which the handle was broken), and a table with two chairs. There was also an «old fashioned» touch tone phone in the room.
We requested (and supposedly received) non-​smoking rooms. I looked at all of the room numbers on our floor and saw that they were all supposed to be non-​smoking rooms. However, the hallway stunk (reeked) of old cigarette smoke, and there was a burn-​stain on our bathtub (next to the toilet). We wanted to keep our doors open so our daughters could move between our two rooms, but we couldn’t. Once you opened the door to your room, your whole room stank of cigarette smoke — just disgusting.
There was an air conditioning unit in the room that worked fine.
The beds were adequate, but the sheets were ANNOYING! They used the smallest sheets possible for the «fitted» sheets which means as soon as you turn down the covers, ALL sheets are now off the bed. The beds had old mattress pads on them which, like the «fitted» sheets were too small, and would shift around too much. It was quite uncomfortable.
The bathroom was old (the sink was chipped) but adequate. Note there are no amenities here other than soap; you will need to provide your own shampoo and hair dryer. Even though there were three of us in the room, we were provided only one large towel, two hand towels, and one face cloth. There were some small ants in the room, but definitely not an infestation by any means. A couple of gross things were we found random hairs in the room (on the bedside table and clinging to the shower curtain, to be specific). I’m not saying this couldn’t have happened in any other hotel, but combined with the stink, broken furniture, and crappy beds, it added up to an experience that I wanted over with quickly.
We used the indoor pool which was nice. The pool was only 5-​feet deep maximum (3-​feet minimum) which was great for our daughters to swim unattended (although we were there — just not in the pool with them). There was a bathroom, a hot tub, and a shower, too. There were comfortable white wicker chairs, and free pool towels for convenience. The pool itself was cold, yet the room temperature was 87°F! It was sweltering in there! However, the pool was very clean, as was the whole pool area.
All in all, I would not stay here again — if for nothing else, the disgusting stink in the place. It was convenient for our purpose, but there are so many other places to choose from, I would definitely do a bit more research in the future.

My wife and I stayed here for the 4^th of July weekend. The room rate is reasonable and the overall service was great. I used the hot tub and the indoor pool and they were good. Our room is clean, for the most part. Not really any complaint but the room is nothing to scream about.

Great place in North Conway if you are looking for value and a comfortable and clean place to stay. No complaints. And they give you a coupon for the blueberry muffin restaurant — great grilled cheese!

I always stay at the Yankee Clipper when I stay in hotels in North Conway, although I’m usually a camper! The Clipper is nice and inexpensive, neat, clean and homey.
They often run specials that get you a little present in the room, like a shopping tote bag full of promos during the Christmas shopping season, and they have ski&stay rates with Cranmore. The Inn is attached to the Blueberry Muffin breakfast restaurant, and the night’s stay comes with breakfast the next morning. I choose this place because the staff is always friendly and welcoming, much more comforting than bigger, emotionally-​sterile chain hotels.
