We are a full service window treatment resource, carrying a broad selection of blinds and shades as well as a large drapery fabric library and the largest selection of plantation shutters available in New England.

We are certified experts in motorized window treatments from companies such as Hunter Douglas, Somfy, Lutron and Mecho-​Shade.

Our drapery workroom will construct your soft treatments to the highest level of quality available. Our designers listen to your desires and concerns and prepare designs for you to approve. You are the client and your happiness is our only goal.

Our selection of plantation shutters is unrivalled. We have the largest display of shutters anywhere in New England, showing available wood species such as cherry, maple, oak, mahogany, walnut and many others. Our display includes specialty shaped shutters including arched, round, oval and angled windows. We have french door shutters and sliding panels on display.

History

Established in 1993.

Verticals Etc began in 1993 as a factory outlet selling primarily blinds and shades. Over the years the business evolved to a focus on higher quality products and began to be known for very high levels of service and quality at a fair price.

In 2003, Verticals Etc added drapery and other soft treatments to its product selection and began to be known as experts in motorization and plantation Shutters. The company joined a national marketing group called Exciting Windows! in 2004. This affiliation helped the firm in a number of ways, principally with marketing, systems and training for associates.

Mary Ellen O’Donnell joined the firm in 2005 as lead drapery designer and continues to work closely with clients throughout NH as well as Maine and Massachussets. Her skills and style continue to bring rave reviews from clients.

Business Owner

Ed Hopkins continues to be active in the day to day operation of Exciting Windows! He focuses his sales efforts on the complicated aspects of motorized projects and plantation shutters.

Although he is not as involved in installations as he once was, you will still find him with a drill in his hand at least once or twice a week.

Ed also continues to be involved on the national level of the industry as a Director of the Window Coverings Association of America, and as past Chairman of the National Advisory Council of Exciting Windows! He finds these activities to be gratifying and has found them to open access to unique and hard to find product lines to assist his local clients.

He lives in Hampton, NH with his beautiful wife of twenty years and their three children.
