Roscoe A D Shell Gas Station

The deal is really good. You get $ 7 car washed value for just $ 3. It cleaned the car ok, so for someone like me who was just trying to make the car look decent to the very least this is an ok place to go.

Easy to get to gas, on the corner across from GRILS, GIRLS, GIRLS, a car dealership and a pawn shop. lol. Ladies, hold your purse tight

Lately, I have been saving my dough for a major expense, but the recent news with Iran and Syria, gas prices have been shooting through the roof. Before I bought my Tundra, I used to come here to Roscoe’s Shell Gas Station.
I buy my gas at Food4Less. So, why am I writing about Roscoe’s Shell Gas Station? Well, the one thing I like about this Shell is the car wash. These days I barely have time to go wash my truck and I am scared of someone else washing my truck. I go for the Ultimate Wash ($ 7). They have the Express, Deluxe, and I think there was something else before Ultimate. The car wash is brushless and does accommodate big pickup trucks like my Tundra.
The one thing that this car wash lacks is the blowing power. Yes, my truck is huge, but f this car wash uses intense washing power, you might want to have intensive blowing power even if it seems its intense for a regular car. Another minor problem is there is a leak while the blower is on. So, I get small water spots when it does its last cycle.
Overall, its a nice place to get a car wash, but lately with gas prices, no one has been coming here. Not even to look/​smell at the Budweiser Plant across the street. This location has been a favorite for me for the past couple years. I wonder what gas prices will be like by summer. Any one want to guess?

I go to this particular gas station because it’s one of the cheapest Shell gas stations around my parent’s place. Combined with 5 percent I get back on my Shell gas card, it becomes on par with Costco and Mobil in terms of price.
The station is clean and the small tiny market sells lotto and cigarettes (lotto for me, cigs for my brother).
Best part about this station? It’s near the 405. Perfect for when I head home.

This review is for the car wash — I filled up with some gas, and my filthy, crusty car needed a wash, badly! I usually hit these gas station car washes up when the need strikes, and it always suffices. I paid the standard $ 5 or $ 6 for a basic wash… and pulled in.
This was a very chintzy car wash… no red plastic whippy-​scrubby things that smack bird shit. dirt and grime off your car. Rather, there are just three high-​pressure jets that soap and rinse your car, with a bit of wax thrown in.
My car did not get as clean as usual, and I was a little disappointed. I mean, hey, I paid the usual amount but got a sub-​par wash. Just thought I’d warn people. Get gas here, yes! Wash, no!

When I make the road trip between L.A. & S. F, I can’t make it on a single tank of gas. So I stop by this Shell station off the Roscoe exit on the 405 (look for the Anheuser-​Busch brewery) to top off the tank. Cheap gas considering it’s right off the freeway!
