ok – so i felt somewhat like a sorority girl in the midst of a heavy metal/​grateful dead tattoo extravaganza, what with how covered both artists were, not to mention the woman in the chair next to me, who was having her ENTIRE back done, but sometimes you just have to be the fish out of water. besides, what’s a girl to get her man after nearly 20 years of infatuation and 10 years of singularly super wedded bliss (relatively speaking)? well, for me the answer was simple – his initial in a wee tattoo on the lower back. despite the dearth of Unilocal reviews on any place conveniently located, i decided to take the plunge with so cal smoke shop since i passed it on a weekly basis on route to the library. last week, while hastening to pick up my books on hold, i stopped in to inspect the cleanliness factor. it passed. they took debit cards. they had tons of samples and fonts from which to choose. and they had a free chair. and they didn’t make me feel a fool… and so now i have the most darling little tattoo, which i managed to keep hidden from the mister for 5 days! didn’t hurt a whit, healed up perfectly and all so easy…
