If they put as much effort into their students as they do into leaf blowing the damn parking garage early every morning maybe they’d have better reviews. Every morning I am woken up by the sound of them using a leaf blower in the garage. Not sure why, it’s never used beyond the first floor. Please stop.

Horrible experience. I was completely let down.
I have lost all faith and trust in The Art Institute and the Argosy University system as a whole. I first attended the Art Institute Hollywood 2 years ago with extremely high hopes that it would be the perfect place for me to continue and finally finish my education in Industrial Design by obtaining a BS degree. I am a working professional in the special fx field trying to harvest my skills in other avenues to better myself. What first attracted me to the university was that it was advertised as being flexible to any schedule. When I went in for my consultation for enrollment, I asked and stressed that I needed to take the evening Industrial Design course plan, and I was assured I would be able to attend class in the evenings to obtain my degree based on a 3 year academic plan. Based on that information, I enrolled. A year into my academic plan, I was told by a different counselor (because I never saw my original counselor again after admittance) that it would take an eternity for me to graduate unless I switched to a daytime schedule. I tried to contact the counselor that enrolled me, but I was told that she had conveniently retired within the 1 year I had been attending. I was told that my area of interest was not popular enough and for that reason there would be no evening classes. No one bothered to tell me this at an earlier date, but instead left me to deduce this important information on my own. With the small fortune the school charges per student, I feel that it is highly unlikely that they couldn’t afford the classes, and frankly, I feel that it is poor practice to dupe enthusiastic students into believing that the schedules advertised are the schedules that any student can get for any course of study. This has clearly been false advertising, and I have clearly been duped. Because I am in my late twenties and have to earn a decent wage to support myself and pay for school, I have to work higher paying 9 to 5 jobs. Expecting me to just be able to switch to day classes and not be able to survive contradicts the entire reason I was coaxed into this institution in the first place. I had no choice but to withdraw from The Art Institute to attempt to attend a Cal State system school. It has now been over a year since withdrawing from A.I. and a year since first attempting to enroll in a Cal State school, and I still haven’t been able to successfully enroll due to the schools not accepting a class that I was told by a counselor went for a critical thinking credit. After having to re-​enroll in a community college to make up my critical thinking credits, I now cant enroll in a Cal State school until fall of next year due to budget cuts. In the time that I have wasted trying to get into another school, I would be rounding the corner to the completion of my degree. My future has now become a big question mark due to Argosy University failing to live up to one of their most attractive reasons a working professional would choose to attend. I am now stuck paying back a school that i feel robbed me of a true opportunity to achieve my goals of actually graduating with a degree in the next decade. I am now stuck in administrative purgatory and very unhappy with how the second chapter of my academic path is turning out. Because of this, I have told all my friends and even mere strangers that are considering attending any school in the Argosy University system to seriously reconsider. I have also shared these thoughts on several other social media sites.
I wish I could add to the positive comments about this institution, but i simply can’t because then I would be the liar.

NOT EVEN WORTH 1-​STAR. Financial Aid is a mess here. Apparently they don’t know how to file and organize student’s paperwork. Worst of all, if you apply early, they FAIL to process your paperwork until AFTER the quarter starts. A friend of mine is STILL WAITING on his financial aid (and 2 quarters have passed) $ 0 and has borrowed money elsewhere because AI continuously screws up paperwork. Someone in the Financial Aid department needs to go away, as harsh as it sounds, someone there isn’t doing their job.
They keep saying,“Soon…” and repeat it over and over… I smell a lawsuit coming on. AI, go get your sh*t together and give serious students asking for financial aid their funds!
