December 20, 2015 I came down south to visit my parents for the holidays. I was t-​boned by a drunk driver. He fled the scene on foot and was not found until 3 months after the crime. I spent 5 days in ICU released Christmas Day. The guy was eventually found hiding out in Palmdale and was placed under arrest. The same day he posted bail and is walking the streets today. I suffered a broken skull, brain hemorrhaging, hematoma, and paralysis to the right side of my body. I was terminated from my job and I was paying all of my medical bills out of my own pocket. Unfortunately I didn’t have the best health insurance even though they did help cover many expenses. I was still stuck with MANY bills. To find doctors for follow ups were almost impossible. I had to wait another 3 months to see a neurologist and an ENT. For the consistent and excruciating head and ear pain. As time went on. I was receiving absolutely no help from any MD. I had to fight to get seen by doctors and to schedule appointments. Eventually I developed seizures. I ended up having to go to the ER because I was scared something was wrong (I never had seizures) The «doctors» approached me told me «you had a seizure» prescribed me medication I am STILL taking and sent me on my way. More time passed and my back and neck began to worsen. Being I have paralysis on the right side of my body I have trouble walking straight causing my body to tilt adding more pressure to my back and posture of course. I was desperate for help and I began to research chiropractors and after viewing several for SOME reason Doctor Austria’s practice caught my attention most. Great reviews and seemed like a friendly and HELPFUL doctor. I didn’t care if I paid out of pocket, The pain was unbearable. I came in the same day as a walk in. After filling out a form and waiting a very short period. My boyfriend and I were introduced to Mr. John Austria. I was so tired of repeating my sad story to many people and was truthfully thinking to myself okay this guy is going just hear me out, apologize for my tragic story, give me an estimate, crack my bones and send me on my way. I got the complete opposite. Without going too much into detail on my story I gave him the basics and key factors based on my injuries. Dr. Austria immediately showed concern, and asked questions. He took x-​rays and asked more and more questions, he asked us to come back later in the day so he would have time to review my x-​rays. My back was completely unaligned, I had minimal to absolutely no movement to my right side of my body (I’m 24 y. o) He explained and went over all my injuries (something the doctors at the HOSPITAL did NOT do!!!) I thought back to the DAY I was released from the hospital, the doctor there skimmed through my paperwork, repeating an extended amount of terminology my semi conscious self could understand and sent me home, my family trying to get answers as to home care, etc. the doctor responded «she’s fine, she can drive if she wants, just don’t take the pain killers while driving!!» After MONTHS of my family, boyfriend and I conducting our OWN research TRYING to seek help and ANSWERS. We come across dr. Austria. I am a STRONG individual, no matter what I face, I am optimistic and hope for the best, But being it had been five MONTHS since my accident and I have had little to NO help I was beginning to loose hope and accept that I will be disabled and suffer from back problems and learn to live with my paralysis. The only way I was being «helped» by my «doctors» we’re through high dosage of pain killers, muscle relaxers and anxiety medication. I was in TEARS leaving austrias office that day. He took us in AFTER HOURS, sat with us, HEARD me out, went over ALL my injuries INCLUDING my fractures and brain trauma explaining each diagnosis and fracture. Explained how he was going to do everything he can to help and showed VERY REAL and GENUINE HELP. Meeting Austria and his staff has TRULY been a HUGE turning point for me. We started the next day, and he put together a plan for me, worked with my movements and even strength. During the FIRST week under his care, I began to FEEL my muscles on my right arm and BODY begin to somewhat move and just in general FEEL!!! I felt my walk completely different and though the limp and just myself in general are a work in progress doctor Austria has managed to save me from complete depression and PAIN!!! I push myself EVERYDAY, doing simple exercises he shows me and recommends, I am not just FEELING my back, posture and necks’ pain gradually minimize & improve everyday, I am MOTIVATED to help myself FIGHT for my health! Though I have not received justice from my case and I still carry that huge burden. In FULL COMPLETE HONESTY. Austria chiropractic has truly helped me immensely. There is no better feeling in the world when you realize that there are still HUMAN BEINGS on earth that truly care about helping others genuinely. Thank you John Austria and Staff!

Went to Austria Chiropractic after a bout of severe lower back pain. Dr. John not only adjusted my spine, but noticed that my hips were out of alignment, too, as a result of my lower-​back issue. He took the time to take an x-​ray to confirm that this had been an ongoing issue. After putting me on a regimen of regular adjustments and strengthening exercises, my back and hip alignment are back to normal. Many thanks to the diligent Dr. John and his friendly, helpful staff (Alex & Sylvia) for putting me back together!

I just started going to Austria Chiropractic and I absolutely love it. Everyone is extremely friendly and knowledgeable. I have zero complaints.

No time to deal with the diagnosis and a referral from Kaiser and bending becoming very limited. I visited Austria Chiropractic. This after listening to a patient speak highly of him. With no hesitation I called and with ease scheduled an appointment with Sylvia. I was in within a couple of days.
Warm welcome from the moment I stepped into the office up to meeting Doctor Austria. He expresses concern, takes his time to explain and show you the problem and exceeds your expectations. His goal was to get me back up shooting hoops and well being. Maintaining it, is mine. As his restroom mirror states, «this person is responsible for your health», amongst other quotes painted to the walls in the office. I felt better within weeks. It’s close to a year now and I continue to visit.

Dr. John is an expert in his field and second to none. He is knowledgeable medical professional who is always learning ways to better serve his patients; honest and reasonably priced. I would recommend him to anyone who is searching for answers to chronic back pain or just looking to optimize their health and well being. His philosophy is simple and to the point. Every time I have had any issues or injuries in my back, shoulders and even joints and tendons, he was quick to accurately diagnose and help facilitate the healing process. Sylvia and Alex at the front desk are always warm and welcoming and compliment Dr. John’s desire to create world class experience for his patients.

Before going to Austria Chiropractic I was a bit skeptical about chiropractic in general. Fast forward 7 years and I’m still going to this office off and on. I had been to other offices prior but Dr. John Austria has a great demeanor and really seems to know and care for his patients individually. Whenever anyone asks me for a recommendation, I direct them to this office without hesitation.

I was in excruciating pain for 4 months with sciatica. I found him on Google while I was looking for «The Number One Chiropractor» in North Hollywood. I am extremely happy to say that it’s been 2 weeks, and the pain is reduced 90%. He is the best chiropractor on the West Coast. His staff is wonderful. Compassionate, knowledgeable, and just plain nice! I’ve been to literally hundreds of chiros, and they all talked up a storm. When Dr. John says I’ll get you out of pain in a couple of weeks, he put his money where his mouth is.

Austria Chiropractic is one of the best chiropractors I have ever seen. Dr. John is not only nice but very informative on your condition and what his treatment plan is long term. As a long time athlete I felt like I was always having aches and pains. Since I have been seeing Dr. John once a week I feel that I can push my workouts to the next level without hurting myself. Thanks Dr. John. Oh and his front office staff are just the SWEETEST!

I have never been to a chiro and i was very scared because people say they crack your bones and that it could be painful. Honestly i have bad back and arm pain I decided to give it a shot and share my own experience. Today was my first time getting my bones cracked and it felt very good it was a great start for my day. Dr Austria was gentle I felt no pain at all. Customer sevice is also great. I love it that they have a perfect schedule that works for me. I am an early bird and so are they. They have great payment plans very affordable I would say. I met Sylvia front desk great person with great customer service skills, I also met Alex front desk very Nice lady helped me out arranging my payment plan and appointment schedule very comprehensive. Will definitely come back and from now on Dr Austria will be my family chiro. Thanks DR AUSTRIA.

I went here bc of my GF. She had nothing but praise for Austria so me having intense back issues I thought why not. I did the whole first appointment free consultation. X-​rays and advice. Next time I showed up, w/​o the GF, and not only did he give me a régime that would be within a few months, he chiro cracked my neck and back. GAWDAMM. My first time, chiro cherry has been popped. Cool. Afterwards, went up to the receptionist and for some naïve reason I thought the second one would be free as well bc of the candor of Austria and how the receptionist didn’t bring it up on my first day. No mention of money. But nope. 60 bux.
I’m not gonna give Austria one star just bc of the cost but I will delete two just off that. The guy knows his stuff but capitalism is a sexy bytch and every one loves f*cking her. The rest of us have to watch.

#2 son plays rugby, la crosse, and varsity football with a division 1, pac 5 team. (Not sure what that means except some kind of respect.) Add some lifting into the mix and voila! Chronic back ache. After months of physical therapy prescribed by his GP, heat/​cold, rest, balms, and various NSAIDs, I finally take him to the name I hear over and over again: Dr. Austria. The man works miracles — it’s the only relief the poor kid has had in a year. Since I’m there, what the heck? Let’s see what he can do for mom. Weekly migraines and hip pain have diminished considerably.
Let me put it this way: I work in women’s healthcare and do not hesitate to refer my patients to his office. I know that John, Sylvia, and Alex will always give them the very best care and attention.

I’ve been going to chiropractors for over 20 years and Austria Chiropractic is by far the best one I’ve encountered. I’ve been a patient here for about two years and each experience I have had (i.e. scheduling my first appointment, meeting Dr. Austria, being treated, the fun and friendly staff especially Alex who is kind, welcoming, and has a good sense of humor, etc.), has been stellar. Plus, I actually believe Dr. Austria cares about each of his patients.
If you are looking for chiropractic care that is good and safe, a healing environment, great staff, and a likable doctor with a charming and fun demeanor, I highly recommend Austria Chiropractic.

My experience at Austria Chiropractor was amazing, they make you feel very calm and comforting. It’s like a big family Alex in the front desk is nice and friendly, the doctor never makes you feel nervous or uncomfortable. He always ask how you’re doing or what have been up too. Overall the environment is a happy, calm and safe. I love the results, my back is getting better and better. I have less back pain each and every day.

BEST chiropractic to go to by far. Seriously! He knows you by name and becomes part of the family. He really cares about taking care of your body and meeting you where you’re at. It never feels like a doctors appointment and I so appreciate the time he takes to explain where my body is and the goals to get it back in place. He doesn’t just tell me I need adjustments but shows and explains why in details and answers any question. The staff are amazing as well.

John is awesome! My wife had been going to him before we got married and he gave us a great family plan! Aside from his always cheery disposition he keeps you well informed on what’s going on with your body. He’s literally straightening my life out.

I used to have severe headaches 4 – 5 times a day. After John started adjusting me, I noticed an immediate difference. I’ve been going weekly for two months and I don’t have any headaches anymore! It’s amazing! What a life-​changing experience!
The office is very clean, organized, and kid-​friendly (which is super important to me). The staff and other patients are very friendly too. It makes it a joy to come get adjusted.

Everytime I go to Austria Chiropractic, I leave feeling refreshed. For years I have suffered from low back pain due to my bad posture and my height (6’7″). With the adjustments I’ve been receiving, I rarely have lower back pain, and when I do have pain, I’m only an adjustment away from relief.
The staff at Austria Chiropractic is also very friendly. Whether I have billing questions or scheduling questions they are always very helpful.

I am truly thankful to God that Dr. Austria was referred to me and that I listened and went to see him. Let’s start with the staff that was so friendly and always called me by name and pronounced it correctly which is no easy feat. It’s only been a couple of visits but my spirit is content that I will get the help I need from Dr. Austria. I would tell anyone who maybe suffering and not sure what to do… see Dr. Austria, the first consult is free… you can’t beat free especially when so many other specialists charge you just to speak with them. I am grateful and pray that the Lord continues to use Dr. Austria, because I’m already feeling the results… what a blessing!

Such a blessing that we found Dr. John & staff! He is very personable & really caters to the individuals lifestyle.
My boyfriend beats his body up. Operates his flooring company, plays basketball for hours regularly & had a bad car accident when he was younger. He has constantly complained about back and neck problems.
Well in the last couple months of seeing Dr. John he feels like a new man and has had numerous sleep filled nights without waking up tossing & turning with spasms. Even after the first 2 visits he had so much energy that he didn’t even realize was missing.

This was the ONLY place I called that could not tell me how much a consultation cost — besides the first one is «free»…
I’m wasn’t interested in free. I was happy to pay for the visit and be worked on then and there and make as many future appointments as needed.
What I was interested in is not wasting my time to attend a «free» session to discover that the next appointment is $ 200 or whatever when everyone else could quite easily tell me exact figures if not a ball park. They even gave me scenarios on if that wasn’t the case so I knew what the possible costs were and wasn’t too surprised. Of course nothing was set is stone because they didn’t know what the issue was.
I decided on a good chiro with good reviews who outlined prices before the visit and I’m all fixed for a reasonable price no games, no «free» malarky.
I’m sure this is a great place for people who don’t care about price. For those that do, keep looking.
