Japanese Car Service

My experience has been very pleasant considering the experience and friendliness of these guys. Luck and Ric were very helpful and they even showed me what I needed to have done and what I didn’t. Reasonably priced, professionally done brakes. I would come back here again.

Honest, reliable, and friendly guys. They will not rip you off. Affordable pricing. I got a quote and recommendation from a chain repair shop to make the recommended changes on my car and Rick told me it’s still fine. Some repair shops will up sell everything but not these people. I already scheduled my oil change with them.

Okay so I am literally crying when writing this! I just got off the phone with the mechanic at this place and he was so horrible and straight up told me to «go away!!!
I was there yesterday to get my car checked out after I had called (he didn’t even look at it) and I don’t know if it was because I am a woman or that I am injured In a wheelchair but he was ignoring me and my basic questions like if he could say what the price range was
and he refused to say anything not even an estimate or usual prices.
Whenever he talked he looked into my guy friends eyes and asked him questions about MY car. So I kept saying please could you talk to me about it since it is my car and my friend hasn’t been with me driving in this car more than once (!) so he literally knows nothing about it.
He kept ignoring me and kept talking over my head and in the end he told my guy friend to bring in the car tomorrow (again just like it was his car and schedule)
So he made me go there just to say the same thing he did on the phone which was that he didn’t know and couldn’t give even a clue so that was a total waste of time and
I HAVE NEVER FELT SO DEGRADED, OFFENDED AND DISRESPECTED in my life.
I got the tip from my Unilocal driver and he said they were supposed to be very honest and stuff.
I don’t understand why he would say the day after I had been there with m American car that
We don’t work on your car, it’s Japanese place!» And when I asked why he didn’t say that when I first called or when I went there?! he said. «I don’t know what you are supposed to to with your car either leave it here and go home! Or take it to another place I don’t even know how you got my number, GO AWAY!»
So he basically told me that they didn’t work on my car type as a lie and the next second saying they did.
I do NOT understand how a person could be this horrible to a girl in wheelchair didn’t do or say anything wrong.
Don’t go here if you are a female I guess… Disgusting behavior

These guys are almost to good to be true. Coming here is like the opposite of going to most other shops where the mechanics don’t even know how to talk to you or whose only goal is to rip you off. Both Ric and Lucky talk to you like you are a customer who matters and are friendly, rather than intimidating. They have always made time for me and genuinely care about the service they give. Ric even came to my apartment once to jump start my car when it wouldn’t start. Who does that? Also, from what I remember, I have always gotten replacement parts for my car the same day. Being new to the area several years ago, they have been lifesavers and came highly recommended by a friend.

I have been meaning to leave feedback regarding my experiences with these guys for some time.
They are by far one of the best garages around. I had an electrical problem and the dealership couldn’t figure it out for 3 days: Ricky figured it out in a few hours!
They are wonderful mechanics. They’re fair priced. Honest about everything you need to know about your vehicle and the repair it needs.

I love these guys! I been coming here since 07. They always take good care of you. If it doesn’t need fixing they dont try to fix it. I went to Honda for a flush and they told me i needed all kinds of things. Of couse it would be a $ 5000 bill. I came to the japanese guys here they said you keep driving your car, you will need these things but not now. Like really?! Ok! Love love love them. Lucky and Ricky are the best in town. I recommend to anyone you will not be disappointed.

I’ve been going to this shop since I started driving. Great service, affordable prices and they are always reliable. I don’t know a thing about cars (i just know when something is wrong) but I can always trust them to figure it out and not add imaginary repairs (looking at you, Honda dealership!). I recommend them to all my family and friends.

Great service! Check on my car with no charge because it’s only a minor fix!

We have been bringing our cars to Japanese Car Service for more than 4 years. Rick and Lucky provide an exceptional customer service. They have a wealth of knowledge about different type and model of cars not just the Japanese cars. They are honest and tell you what need to and need not to repair. Their prices are very reasonable and fair, it is mostly below major car dealership repair prices. We understand how important is to find an honest and good repair shop, so we highly recommend Japanese Car Service to everyone!!!

Ric and Lucky are my goto guys anytime I need someone to look at my car for any repairs. They charge reasonably in fact their rates come out to be a fraction what it’ll cost you at the dealership. They are honest and they deliver. If a service is not necessary they will not advise on pushing it just to make a buck. Rest assure you are in good hands.

Great service! I took my Mazda to get checked and not only did he tell me what the problem was, we took it for a spin and be explained to me what was going on. He was honest and caring. He showed me exactly what the problem was under the hood
He did not try to up sale me any other services. He fixed my car and it was ready the same day

Completely rude asshole. Came to Burbank Quality Brakes and they were closed. So I popped into this assholes shop asked to have rotors cut and just said no I don’t want to do it. Didn’t give a shit at all… fuck them. Scumbags

This is the BEST mechanic in the area — fixed multiple problems with my old Nissan — at hundreds less than quotes from other mechanics. Very honest, also always provided fast service. I really have never been to a better mechanic in my life.

There are about 5 mechanics at this location but you’ll have to ask for «Japanese Car Services». They are a friend’s referral when my old mechanics was too far for me to tow my car to. I been with them for 7 yrs. Always provided me with excellent service. Last time I was there, I said «I think my spark plugs need to be changed». The owner said «Nah. I changed it for you last time and it is still good.» Now which shop would turn down charging people for service they don’t need? They are honest! I had my brake done, car boot done, transmission fixed and my 15 yr. old car runs as new!
