Karate 4 Kids USA

My son loves his karate teacher and enjoys the program. I love that they have small satellite programs at various schools. This makes it easy for me as a working parent. The teachers are fun and engage kids very well and at the same time maintain a level of respect and discipline. That’s a hard thing to do and they do it effortlessly.

This is an overdue review of Karate 4 Kids for my 6 year old daughter. We were introduced to this studio from an online deal. I just signed up for their regular monthly program as well as summer camp. That’s how much we love the program, staff and philosophy. The staff is amazing, and a perfect match for us, and I believe always age appropriate in their approaches. Thanks to everyone there, from a grateful dad of a happy and confident girl.

My son started here in 2014, he was 9 years, and we will be here until he gets his black belt and his little sister as well. That’s how much of a sense of family, professionalism and dedication is felt here. When I was looking for a place for my son to learn martial arts, we visited 3 in the area, (how cAn you talk to my kid about discipline and your gut is touching your knees), I wasn’t impressed with anywhere and then was referred to K4k by a friend. Everyone is fit, in shape, and the kids love it here. As a parent I want to know my kid is getting the best and my kids want to have fun, they have struck a happy medium here, the kids love the instructors but have high respect for them. I’ve witnessed parents with «difficult» kids say, «I’m telling Master Lee about your behavior at school today», because the kids know there are consequences.
The classes are not only affordable to but worth every penny. If you think your kid deserves a trophy just for showing up this isn’t the place for you. When you see the sense of accomplishment and pride in your kid when they are promoted, you know they earned it!
Oh and they have date night every other Saturday night!

This is an amazing place to watch your child grow and thrive! My son has been going here for almost a year now and he has made tremendous strides. The instructors show tons of enthusiasm and dedication. The staff is fully involved and super positive, caring and serious about building the student’s confidence and skill in karate. This studio has a lot to offer.

Started taking my son to karate here and so far very happy. The instructors are super friendly and very energetic! They seem to be very good with kids and always give positive energy. They offer a number of classes for any age including adults.

Karate For Kids is an absolutely amazing place. Our 8-​year-​old son and almost 5-​year-​old daughter LOVE coming to class here. A year-​and-​a-​half in, we have seen all the development (both Karate and personal) that we were hoping for. Master Lee is everything we wanted in a karate instructor– firm but fair; tough and kind; disciplined yet fun; strict AND silly. She really gets to know all the kids and gets them to perform in unison while tending to their individual needs. And that also describes the entire staff. They are great w/​communicating and collaborating with parents about the reality of where your child is and what they need to do in order to advance. And we love that their consistent principals mean that there are consequences in class for behavior at home. They truly care about the kids and our son and daughter leave every class all sweaty and proud with big smiles on their faces!

We love this studio. We moved our kids over from a different kids’ karate studio because the other one wasn’t serious about teaching the kids. Here at Karate 4 Kids USA, they have the perfect mixture of truly teaching martial arts and teaching respect, balanced with having fun. They have really fun summer and winter Karate Camps which both our kids love attending, and Ninja Nites every other Saturday where we get a night out and the kids have a blast playing with friends, eating pizza and watching movie. They also have an annual board-​breaking exhibition which is so much fun for the kids (they get to be the ones breaking boards, even our little one did it!)
Both our sons (ages 3 ½ and 6 ½) enjoy coming to classes here, they get good exercise, and their skills are improving weekly. We love all the instructors here. They have built a very nice community of families, and it is a fun place to hang out as we watch our kids during class. And they have adult classes as well, so the whole family can get involved.

My son has been going here for a little more than a year. He is doing great and it has helped him tremendously in school. The teachers are awesome, great at combining fun and martial arts, and they are very specific about karate only being practiced IN karate class.
They also have a great date night program! Every two weeks they have a ninja night. It’s a 4 hour drop off so you and hubby can take a date!

LOVE it! My daughter just began training and she is so excited. The teachers are strict AND loads of fun. They run a great class. I drive from deep in the West Valley to come here… during rush hour. Worth it!

My son has gone here for about 3 years, and he loves it so I can’t recommend them enough. They are friendly, but run a tight ship so the kids learn and move ahead.

We had our 3 and 6 year old sons at another kids karate studio where we were not very happy (classes too large, instructors not actually instructing, very expensive), when we happened to be referred to Karate4Kids by a kindergarten classmate. Our older son tried it for their amazing Thanksgiving week Karate Camp, and we immediately switched to them for classes as well.
The instructors are professional and command respect, but also know how to interact with kids and have fun in a way that the kids really respond to. You can see that the instructors have amazing karate skills themselves (they teach the Tang Soo Do style– a Korean form) and they really watch the kids as they teach them, and they correct their form. My husband is a martial artist and he is not easily impressed with kids classes, but he is very happy with our kids being at Karate4Kids USA.
For a very reasonable extra fee, they also offer lots of nice extra things like camp during Thanksgiving, winter and summer breaks, and «Ninja Nights» every other Saturday where the kids can go have a fun night of games and pizza and a movie with friends and parents can have a night off!
Overall, we are thrilled to have found Karate 4 Kids and are glad that we made the switch from the other dojo. I see our family being a part of this karate community for a long, long time. Thanks, Master Lee, Mr. Marius and all the instructors for creating such an amazing place for us and our kids!

We drive 20 minutes each way — past dozens of other karate studios — because Karate 4 Kids is awesome. Our son has been coming for over a year, and it’s the first sport he’s stuck with. Mostly we credit the amazing staff who set high expectations and demand respect, and who are equally kind and flexible. Our 10-​year-​old will probably always be super wiggly, but Karate 4 Kids is helping him become focused, disciplined, and confident. They give a free introductory class — check it out for yourself!

We’ve been coming here almost three years. The staff’s approach to positive discipline is exactly what we were looking for. Our six year old gets to do a lot of things here that he can’t get anywhere else. He’s always been small for his age, so it was important to me to find sports and activities where he can build his confidence. We had a great birthday party there, too. We plan to stick with it.

My two sons (now 9 and almost 12) have been with K4K now for a few years. It is a super program — as other parents have said, the perfect balance of fun and boundaries. The kids learn a great skill while also seeing how consistency, diligence and practice = progress.
The teachers are fun, welcoming and enjoy themselves which makes for a great environment. They stress good attitude, good grades, celebrate life events and hurtles with us.
In terms of social action and compassion, K4K is a big supporter of WeSpark and CoachArt — both programs supporting families going through chronic illness. They integrate these children and adults into their regular classes giving hope and some normalcy in very trying times.

I was looking for a karate studio for my little brother and came across this Karate studio on Unilocal.Location is GREAT! It’s off Magnolia right on Bakman. It’s close to the freeways and has a small parking lot. There is also street parking.
Ok so for the studio… Really CLEAN! They have such a nice set up. And they have an area just off the mats where parents can sit and watch the classes.
As for the instructors… They are the real deal. We just joined this studio so I don’t really know all their names yet, but Master Lee is amazing. She’s so friendly and sooooo good with the kids. The kids really listen and respect her. My brother has only been to two classes and he is always looking forward to next time.
The schedules never change. They offer classes for kids as young as 6 years old all the way up to adults. I would definitely recommend this place!

Karate 4 Kids has been great for my Son Kaison… He’s been going for about a year now and I’ve send the tremendous discipline has improved his school studies, manners and social attitude. I look forward to the day he begins entering into the black belt world.

Our son has been with Karate 4 Kids for a year now. We have watched him grow and mature so much in this past year. Because of his Karate training at this studio, he is becoming an even more confident version of himself. He loves it so much and he looks forward to going to as many classes as he possibly can. The teachers are all wonderful and they are great at the art of balancing fun and discipline. We highly recommend Karate 4 Kids USA!

This is an awesome program! We take advantage of the after-​school enrichment program and Ninja Nites. My son is very inspired by the great staff and we look forward to getting more involved with the studio classes. Thank you to everyone at Karate 4 Kids USA for everything you do for our kids!

We just joined this studio last week but already know that this is the studio for us!
We have 3 children and one of them is severely autistic. Our son and daughter have had to leave other studios because they would not allow our family to drop them off to take the class. Our son steven has severe low functioning autism and right now is prone to breaking things and outbursts. When we came to class last week, Steven broke a vase and a ball. I was terribly embarrassed (and did make an effort to replace what was broken although it was never expected) but we were treated with kindness. My children were included in the class and we were invited to join the studio. We have now been there a week and could not be happier.
As far as the instructors go, they are all too notch. They make the instruction fun but know how to keep the kids in line too. There is a fine line between strict and fun and they all know how to do this.
The families that take their kids to this studio are all very warm and welcoming too.
I highly recommend this studio for kids and adults alike. They do not stick you with a contract either and for the instruction and class availability their prices are very fair!
