I don’t think a business has ever made me this happy before. I lost my only motorcycle key (I know) and had an incredibly difficult time even finding out HOW to obtain a replacement, nevermind actually getting it done. Since I bought the bike used, I didn’t have the key code that came with it which can be used to cut a new one. Despite what the Internet says, the code is NOT located anywhere on the bike, at least not for my model, and no one seemed to know what I should do. The dealership was useless, most locksmiths didn’t even know what I was talking about, and the ones that did were quoting me hundreds of dollars to make a new key from the ignition switch. I decided to try again today and Lankershim Lock & Key happened to be the first place I called. The woman who answered was SUPER friendly and knowledgeable and said they could do it for about $ 45. Just a few hours later I had my new motorcycle key! Plus two extra copies of course.
After weeks of beating my head against this problem, I’m finally on the road again. Thank you!!! :D

Got a house key copied here today. I instantly got a great vibe from the people when I walked in. The copies are perfect. I was in and out in under three minutes.

I had six keys cut here and was out in less than five minutes. Prices and service was great. Only metered parking is available which can be activated using credit cards or coins.

These guys are amazing. They cut a key for me that another locksmith said the blank was no longer available. They also stayed open a few minutes longer when i had trouble parking. I called and told them and they waited for me! Good natured and kind, I was totally grateful and glad to have found them have complete trust in them.

wanted to charge me $ 125 to get into my apartment, and told me he would have to charge me more to not break the lock itself — no thanks.

Excellent customer service! I came in to get 2 copies of 3 different keys. It took no longer than 4 or 5 minutes and it was an entirely pleasant experience. Definitely returning any time I need a key made.

Needed a copy of my key, nothing complex. The two individuals inside working were extremely nice. I haven’t had such happy people make my keys ever, and for that I recommend everyone to go them for anything related to keys and locks.

I accidently ruined a deadbolt lock and went here to see if there was anything they could do. Sadly I had destroyed the lock, but they quickly got me a replacement and keyed the lock to my own key in about five seconds. They also made me a half dozen keys that all worked perfectly. No more giant hardware stores for me, their quick, friendly, and professional service has made me a customer for life. I can’t recommend them more highly.

Well I see why they get such great reviews! They get 5 stars from me! They are honest, saved me hundreds of dollars, saw me today, prompt, Explained what was wrong, what he was going to do to fix it! Fast, did a perfect job! Saved my 1939 Brass hardware. I can close my door, lock and unlock it for the first time in over two years without having to jimmy the door. I love this company. Friendly, and again I have to thank him for saving me hundreds of dollars! I am going to have them come back and change other locks in a few weeks. It is so very nice to have a locksmith that doesn’t try to sell you things you don’t know you don’t need, but the other company sold me two years ago! I love your company! Call them! I now have peace of mind!

Just walked in to have 4 keys made. It literally took 3 minutes. Two of those minutes was just me choosing which decorative keys I wanted hahah. So fast, and affordable, thank you!

Thank you guys for opening my safe! Can’t say enough about the customer care at Lankershim Lock and Key. While I did not get her name, the front counter attendant was cordial and just so pleasant to every customer that came in. I was there for at least 30 minutes as she tried to open a safe I had lost the keys for. After sitting there for a bit and chatting with her, I was impressed at her ability to be friendly and plain out nice to every customer that came in. I’m glad I found this place and I’ll definitely make it my to-​go locksmith in NoHo. Thank you Jason for prying open that safe and also the team for giving me a nice deal on the new one I purchased from your store. Keep up the good work… it does not go unnoticed!

Great guys. Bring cash.
If you’re copying one key the minimum to use plastic there is $ 5.00. If you’re like me and only copy one or two keys per visit then bring cash.
Other than that, everyone is very nice there and very courteous. Do not bring «Do Not Duplicate» keys there without a letter from the owners of the building. They will not copy it. Luckily I lived two blocks over and just got the permission to do so.
Parking is easy and seems to always be free right in front of the shop so get in, get out and get on with your life.

Wow! After reading the good reviews on Unilocal,I thought I would go there to get copies of our house key. They are fast, friendly, knowledgable and reliable. I was in and out within 5 minutes. Fantastic!
The price was great also, but if you use a credit card the purchase needs to be over $ 10 but mine was way less than that, so bring cash. Will use these guys in the future and recommend them.
