We brought our engagement ring here to be resized first thing when he opened and it was ready to be picked up the same day just before closing. My fiancé really appreciated that since she was anxious to wear her new ring. Thanks, Jimbob!

Super cool and unique place! Great location, and Jimbob himself is a super awesome guy. He really knows what he is doing and creates amazing one of a kind pieces. I went back to Jimbob after getting a few items over the years to get my now fiancé’s engagement rings custom made. Jimbob did an absolutely amazing job. He was able to incorporate everything I asked him to and did so with a very fast turn around time. Needless to say, myself and my fiancé will be coming back to Jimbob time and time again. Definitely recommend stopping by and checking out the store and meeting Jimbob.

My favorite jeweler in LA! Jimbob can literally make anything you want… his creativity and mind are astounding. He can make quirky off-​beat custom jewelry, or high end engagement rings and stunning pendants. The sky really is the limit! (And I guess your budget too haha).
I had Jimbob make me a custom face cut out necklace of my sister’s husband. It came out SO COOL… I was definitely the hero of the day with that gift to her! I literally sent him a photo of her husband, and he made an exact replica of his face, cut into sterling silver. I also designed two «gangster chains» to give to my siblings as well. They came out perfectly and within my budget.
His shop has transformed a lot over the years, and for the better! It has been so cool to see Jimbob’s shop grow with his talents. Made by Jimbob is now classier and more full service. You can buy cards, candles, scarves, costume jewelry, fine jewelry and custom jewelry. One stop shopping for men’s and women’s gifts for sure.
Jimbob also hosts comedy nights, art shows, and pop-​up shops. So if you are looking for a creative space, it might not hurt to ask him for details!
Parking can be tricky, but there are meter spots around.

Amazing, unique, one of a kind, rad jewelry. I’ve stopped by the shop a few time. After my friend had her wedding bad re-​sized by jimbob (and loved the work) I re-​discovered the jewelry and all its glory on Instagram.
Can’t wait to see what else he makes. Well-​crafted, cool pieces.

…Consistency is so undervalued. I have purchased original creations as well as re-​sizing and fixing of current jewelry and have been satisfied every time. Now only spot we willg et work done in LA area. His creative eye is entertaining as hell and love the wit he approach’s projects with. I actually bought my wife’s wedding band here the first time I was in the shop.
Since then, he has also turned a broken bracelet into necklaces for us and resized my band, all quickly and with no fuss. Quality and consistency is the name of the game here!

This review is long over due! Jimbob is an amazing artist and jeweler! I have bought multiple pieces from him for gifts and myself and have always been very happy! He has also fixed a few pieces of jewelry for me including a ring and bracelet. Both turned out so beautiful and jimbob just does perfect craftsmanship! Jimbob is awesome! He resized my wedding ring super-​fast and his pricing was totally reasonable. I will go to (and recommend) him for any jewelry repairs or custom pieces. Quality work and he is a cool guy too!

Jimbob was great. Had a loose stone on a wedding ring. He fixed it and cleaned it quickly. Within an hour. Other jewelers quoted me 7 business days. His shop is super cool too.

Cute little jewelry store in the NoHo Art District. Saw online the posts about reasonable costs for their required needs relating to their jewelry repair and whatnot. We went into the store to check the diamonds on a ring and have 3 rings (2 diamond, 1 band) cleaned and came out paying a total of $ 45. Ive gone to reputable jewelry stores and never been charged that much; some provide complimentary cleaning.
I’d probably go again and get a repair and see their final product and cost; maybe thatd be a tad understandable for cost.
EDIT: Had to update the stars and review after the owner sent me a «complimentary message» stating I should have said something regarding the price. Should not have been up to me to say something once he charged me. He did not even mention prices when I went in. Also, very unprofessional to message me such snarky message.

I discovered this cute little shop while on my break from work. As soon as I walked in, I experienced pure bliss. There was music in the air and friendly faces to greet my arrival. I felt welcomed and important. There were beautiful creations hanging from the display cases. Then… I saw it. The silver dragon I would soon covet. I purchased without hesitation and it remains one of my favorite pieces.
There is something at this store for everyone, and if not, the owner will customize whatever you want.

This is one of those rare small businesses that stand out like a diamond, literally, among its neighbors. They have incredible custom Jewelry pieces that are designed and created on premises to ones specifications. The master designer Jim combines old-​world style artistry with unseen modern twists. He’s truly an exceptional and versatile craftsman that can design and create a piece of jewelry as well as he can build a table or countertop.
This is my new go-​to place for anything custom or just plain outstanding!

Clearly there is a strong romanticism linked to local/​independent businesses and shops. This can be traced back to the height of the Medieval Times when the merchant class climbed the social ladder by offering custom-​made pieces which we today would deem as ‘artisan’. As more and more residents of Los Angeles bypass mass-​produced goods in favor of local products; shops like Jenny & Jimbob Jewelry pop up. How does Jenny & Jimbob compare?
Jenny & Jimbob is an independent jewelry boutique located in the heart of the Noho Arts District and it doesn’t fail to meet the neighborhood vibe: think art gallery meets etsy-​type jewelry store with hints of a woodworking/​metal works shop. The shop is spacious with an open-​air layout while classical music (a tad loud) waves through your ear buds. Adding to the artistic vibe of the shop? James, one of the owners, hand-​produced not only the merchandise but also the display cases and counters. Nothing is overlooked at Jenny & Jimbob.
In terms of products, Jenny & Jimbob offer hand-​made and custom-​made pieces such as earrings, necklaces, bracelets, rings, cuffs, etc. From ethnic pieces and gem-​fused wares to hipster-​loved matchbox necklaces; Jenny & Jimbob cover their bases. All of the jewelry is unique and top-​quality as again, it is made with love within the store. Even cooler? Jenny & Jimbob offer such services as «Earring cloning» (bring in an earring with a lost mate and they can create a matching piece), custom wedding ring/​band production, and can even transform existing jewelry into new masterpieces (i.e. a brooch into a ring). Along side the jewelry, patrons can browse and purchase local artwork a la the gallery-​type environment.
The major issue with Jenny & Jimbob? The service or lack there of, shall we say. Yes, all the above-​listed goods and services are satisfactory; but the owner James NEVER sold his shop to me or truly made me feel welcome. I discovered all their services offered on my own by browsing the internet and their site. Plus, James appears to have some difficulty accommodating to each customer. While there, a female customer arrived who, granted, seems to be a friend/​regular customer; and James completely ignored me for her as they talked about personal and social topics. If she is a friend/​regular; then that is precisely why he should have focused on me and told her to wait a moment, being that I am a new patron and was in the shop for the first time. As a local shop, Jenny & Jimbob should should work on building the local customer base and making each and every customer walking in feel like a star while ‘selling’ the store (but not being pushy). It’s marketing 101, and not that difficult.
How are the prices? Pieces for sale range in value and obviously custom-​made jewelry prices are effected by various factors. I found some amazing houndstooth earrings which were retailing at $ 18. The prices are high in comparison to the fact that VERY similar earrings can be found at Forever 21 for $ 5 but it must be taken into consideration that these are hand-​made, have better quality craftmanship, and you will be the only one on the block wearing them.
Overall, Jenny & Jimbob is quite the cat’s meow in terms of the actual jewelry and services offered but I wouldn’t necessarily recommend it as a shop to browse or expect the best customer service at. However, if looking for unique, custom-​made jewelry to glam up your outfit; then Jenny & Jimbob may be the solid choice you seek.

I usually don’t want to give lower reviews to an independent, really creative, interesting place — because I really want to support them; but I feel like it’s important to share what was our pretty frustrating experience with this place. We got our wedding bands custom-​made here — and spent much more than we would have if we got bands with the same material somewhere else (we spent about $ 800 each, I think), but it was worth it because we wanted some that were custom-​made for us, and Jimbob gave us a great idea for having some contrasting textures on each ring (the 3 stars are for that idea) — he recommended a couple finishes to serve as the contrast, but said we could find some ourselves and he would do those. He said we could send him links to show the kind of rough texture and what kind of smooth texture we wanted. So we spent A LOT of time looking for just the textures we wanted, and emailed him the two we had decided on, which he received. When we picked them up, they were done in the textures he had initially suggested, not the ones we had told him we’d wanted; but it was getting too close to the wedding and we were honestly too dumbfounded to complain. But we did need my (now) husband’s ring to be made smaller, which he agreed to do for free. We came when he said it would be ready, and then he said he actually meant the following week. So we came back the following week, and he wasn’t in the store, and the woman working there didn’t know where it was, and when she finally got ahold of him, he said it was going to be ready the following week. When we finally did get it the following week, it was exactly the same size as when we had left it there, and we had to go take it somewhere else to get re-​sized. So we went 3 times for nothing.
I wouldn’t get anything custom-​made here again, and so just want to throw it into the mix of reviews so anyone wanting their wedding rings (or other jewelry) made here might be very clear about what you want and make sure you get what you ask for.

This is an AMAZING store! Jimbob sized my engagement ring for us and we made our wedding bands at their store! Jenny and Jimbob add such a personal touch to everything. We invited our closest friends for a jewelry making party. Jimbob taught us the basics and we made some beautiful jewelry and my husband (then fiancé) and I made each other’s bands. I also had beautiful custom necklaces made as wedding party gifts. Impeccable work and right in our neighborhood!

Came into this North Hollywood shop based on the creative collection I’ve seen on their website. their matchbox necklaces are very cute and witty. now that I’ve been in this store, I’m sold on so many amazing items I can’t wait to slowly add to my collection.
I am so glad to see the entire collection in person too (it’s a little different than clicking through the pics online) and its a wonderful feeling when jewelry speaks to your personality, or something you personally connect with… Or when you instantly think of your good friend who would love an item.
It’s a beautiful shop, with artwork displayed (also loved a few mini pieces on the wall). My fiancé snuck over there without me and surprised me with a ring that randomly fit like a glove! I am So excited to visit again… This must be the feeling shopaholics feel… I go in here and just want to buy everything!

I love Jenny & Jimbob! I’ve been there for a couple of their parties and took a wax carving class. The class was a lot of fun, we did it as a group of friends and they cast our rings for us! Super cool, recommend it to anyone looking for something different to do in the valley!
ALSO, not only do they have cute jewelry and art everywhere… they are top notch jewelers. They can make custom wedding sets and more. It makes me happy that there are great people doing great business in our area!

I took a white gold pendant with diamonds on it to Zale’s after both of the soldered loops broke. They estimated almost half the value of the pendant to send it to their jeweller, and couldn’t even guarantee that they could fix it!
So I searched Unilocal for jewelry repair and found a handful of places in the valley. However, Jenny & Jimbob had glowing reviews so I decided to try them out. And all I have to say is — thank you fellow Unilocalers!!!
Jimbob was able to fix the pendant in one day, for less than half of the ridiculous quoted price from Zale’s, and the pendant looks fantastic! And not only do the loops look fantastic, but he cleaned the pendant, so it looked brand new.
I’m so happy I found this store! I am definitely going to keep in mind the fact that they can clone a lost earring, especially now that I’ve seen firsthand the quality that goes into their work. But also, their store is filled with the most amazing jewelry and wall art. I can’t wait until I get some money in, so I can go back and buy one (or more) paintings. I fell in love!

If you have lost an earring, they can actually replicate the lost one.
They also make custom wedding rings! I’ll keep that in mind for the future :)

Being a lover of unique items and custom pieces, this is a place that always catches my eyes. A nice shop on Magnolia, this store has some very unique jewelry items that are made by JimBob and Jenny. We were helped by JimBob, and he was great. My wife found a great piece of jewelry that caught her eye, and I saw a couple of pieces myself that were unique and fun. They do some great custom pieces that will have your eyes wanting more. If you have an imagination, JimBob can make it for you.
