We have been in continued operation in Los Angeles for over 20 years. Our most recent expansion is to another new office in Malibu. And, our San Fernando Valley office now has a showroom at our North Hollywood location.

History

Established in 1994.

Mulholland Security Centers was founded by Avi Ben David in 1994. Today, he remains the company’s president and is active on a day to day basis in management.

By the time he was 13, growing up in Israel and working with his father, Avi had installed steel doors, gates, security windows, security shutters, locks, safes and more. He grew up understanding security at its fundamentals.

Later, in his twenties, Avi further studied security in the Israeli military.

Avi’s first US job was at the family-​owned «Flam’s Key Service». Within a few weeks, the owner said «Avi, you are the best person we’ve had in this business’s three generations.»

Mulholland’s services now extends beyond safes and general locksmithing. The company secures families and businesses with custom-​made Gates & fences, including integration with intercoms, security cameras, and access control. Our purpose is to increase your freedom by increasing the security of your valuables, business, home, pets and family.

I am a scholar of security de facto, from a practical viewpoint. I have a great experience in securing people and business, and I enjoy teaching and consulting on the subject.

I am consulting all types of business, home owners, individuals and celebrities.

Practically, my work consists of guiding my crews and personnel in the implementing of security measures and their installation of security hardware, such as gates, fences, locks, door hardware, security cameras, access control, intercoms and alarm system, etc.

This company is amazing. They fixed and repaired an old intercom system where nobody was able to fix. They sent out Eduardo who was very professional and knowledgeable who got the job done, he is my hero. Mulholland Security was amazing. When I moved into my home and looked for someone to install new locks they were the first ones to say we’ll be right there.
They were so nice, sweet & friendly. But most importantly they were very professional and installed the best locks.
I also had them install a safe deposit box. Again they were very courteous and professional.
Another time I had to change the locks when I was going to move, so I called them and within the hour they sent someone to me.
If you are looking for reliable, professional, courteous and quick response time, I highly recommend Mulholland Security. They are the best.

Mulholland Security installed a new intercom entry system for my building’s HOA. When our intercom broke, they provided us with multiple options, including repairing the existing unit and replacing it with a more modern one. Once we elected to go with a new unit, they performed the work in a timely and professional manner, and any work on the exterior of the building was clean and aesthetically pleasing.
I would not hesitate to use them again.

Dealing with this company has been a nightmare.
For their economic benefit this company destroyed my security by posting a video of me, the street where I live, my home along with my neighbor’s home on You Tube on 03-​31-​2015. They continually show this video without my consent after I specifically told them not to. On 03-​18-​2015 they untruthfully told me in writing they had destroyed the video and it would never be seen.
On 01-​08-​2016 I discovered they had not only not destroyed the video but posted it on You Tube and on their website and it has since been viewed by 2504 people! Even after I advised them of the illegality of their action they still have not taken down the video but have simply switched it to «private.»
They coerced me into speaking on camera before the nail holes in the gate were filled in and the project was complete. Because the project was not finished I felt uncomfortable with this idea after I did it. I asked them to destroy the video which they promised me they would do.
This «security» company put their greed before my safety. Once these type of pictures are posted Online it is hard to reduce your chances of becoming a victim of identify thieves or other criminals. This is basic security knowledge.
I paid $ 36,350 for a secure front gate for my home. I paid a premium price to keep my family and my home safe and secure.
The gate they built is structurally unsound and is starting to fall down. The lock they installed does not lock. The gate opener does not always close the gate. The nail holes are filled in so badly the gate looks polka dotted.
I am working with the CLB to get the problems with the project remedied. This company does not have the expertise to correct the problem, their expertise is in sales not security. I am concerned regarding the outcome.
I have no peace of mind knowing so many people have seen this video and I cannot stop them from showing it.
From the amount of Spam I still get from them they put their money into advertising not into their products. They are not experts on security or building quality custom gates. Their goal is to get good reviews by any means possible so they can take advantage of more customers and get more money.
I should have known they were unscrupulous when they illegally took too large of an initial deposit.
I had two other estimates prior to going with Mulholland «Security» which were half the cost. I didn’t want to run into any problems with regard to quality craftsmanship so I went with their much higher priced bid. I was paying for peace of mind. Did I get what I paid for? Does having your private information shown to over 2000 people provide peace of mind?
Also they had many good reviews on Unilocal. (Which I have now found out by reading another bad review on Unilocal they gave discounts for) and they coerce you before your project is complete for a good review which you give in order to hopefully obtain a good final result. Once they get a good review they don’t care about delivering on their promise of a quality result or providing for your security.
They plaster your picture and home all over the internet. This is a dangerous and unprofessional business practice, especially for a company representing themselves as a security company.
On 01-​19-​2016 I was contacted by this company. They did not offer to remedy any of the problems with my project. Or even apologize for lying to me about showing the video online when they said they had destroyed it. They sent me a video of another client’s project to prove to me they are willing to send my video via email to anyone they want to and there is nothing I can do to protect myself.
Hopefully someone will learn from my big very expensive mistake and protect themselves from this company.

This was the most professional and attentive company I have worked with in a very long time. They contacted me immediately after my email service request. The gentleman that came to take the measurements was courteous and efficient. I was amazed at how quickly they fabricated the gate I needed for my condo complex. The finished product is wonderful and looks like it was part of the original construction of the building — which is what I needed for our HOA regulations.
I would HIGHLY recommend this company. You will be very pleased with the wonderful customer service as well as the quality work.

Excellent customer service and top quality work. I needed to get a keyless lock installed on an existing wrought iron gate. I really appreciated Avi taking the time to explain my options and giving me various pricing options. Both he and his office staff were really prompt on following up and returning calls and emails. I even got an unexpected email reply on a Sunday. I was impressed with the process from start to finish. Everything was handled very professionally and the outcome is great. Ron, the technician who came out, was pleasant, polite, very knowledgeable, and efficient.

I concur with these other 5-​star reviews. Service is terrific and the quality of work is spot on. We were told by our local fire department that we should have a Knox Box installed in case of emergency, so Mulholland Security ordered one for us and came out to install it only to find that we already did have one that the fire inspector just didn’t see.
The tech was incredibly friendly about the mix up and spent time showing me all of the features that we should have on our gate to help in an emergency situation. In doing so, we found that one of the features was not properly set up so the deposit we had paid for the special order was easily credited to the work to be done on our key switch and no one made any issue about the box that we didn’t end up using.
Mulholland knows how to treat their customers. I recommend them whole-​heartedly.

Avi and the whole team at Mulholland Security Centers were a pleasure to work with from start to finish. There was a minor slip up in delivering the gate within 30 days as originally promised and also the wrong gate motor (no battery backup) was installed at first delaying the installation process by another few days, but overall I am very satisfied with the delivered product. The end result is a unique, very modern, sleek stainless steel sliding driveway gate.
I live in the Hollywood Hills on a narrow cul de sac. I am the only house on the street with a wide two car driveway leading to the garage. As a consequence, I had neighbors and their guests constantly using my driveway to turn their cars around. I even had several infuriating instances with people parking in and/​or otherwise blocking the driveway. What a relief that Avi and his crew designed such an elegant solution to the problem.
A big thank you to Avi, Elio, Miguel and Jorge. I now have peace of mind, which is literally priceless.

Truly unbelievably good service!
My wife and I went into the market for a security gate after a home robbery. Mulholland was the first to answer and came by to do a custom assessment. They were able to provide us a very secure fence and gate for which we have now received multiple compliments. Yael was very patient with us as we finalized our plans and customized the solution to our precise specifications and wishes. We simply could not be happier with the gate and fence. Moreover, their customer service is really top notch. Every question and need and concern we have raised was addressed quickly and completely. There simply is no need to go anywhere else for custom solutions which are aesthetically pleasing.
