NoHo Facials

Gigi is very friendly and gives a very good, reasonably-​priced facial. It is a bit of a drive from the Westside; however, my skin always looks much better after the treatment.

Decided to check this place out and really liked Gigi’s facials–
Pros:
–Gigi is extremely kind and friendly
–Skin feels clean and glows
–Felt so relaxed after the short massage she gave at the end
On a side note, there were hardly any extractions done — but i didn’t mind it since i was prone to getting red bumpy skin after extractions done at other salons.
All in all, felt pampered!

GiGi has been so amazing since she has been giving me my facials since last year. Caring and knowledgeable about skin. She is so understanding, that one appointment I had to cancel at the last minute because I had a heat rash and she was so concerned that she even called me and gave me remedies to help try to alleviate my rash. She has helped my skin so much, I am so grateful. Sweet doesn’t even begin to describe her personality, which is very had to find in Los Angeles.

Gigi is a sweetheart. I went for my birthday. I kinda got lost trying to find the place so I got there late, But she was ok with it. I even enjoyed the extractions and that’s always the worst part. She was very nice. Gave me a cold bottle of water and made sure the room was the right temperature for me. As a birthday treat she threw in an enzyme peel, extra mask and gave me six different samples of products. My face was soft as a babies butt. Now that’s what I call five star service.

Few other facials I’ve received compare to the ones with Gigi. Her facials are personalized and her expertise and experience is immediately apparent. I went to Gigi with super-​stressed skin and saw acne scars begin to clear after our first session. Her studio bungalow is welcoming and peaceful, and she truly cares about her work. She went well over our allotted time to make sure I was completely taken care of – she gave me an extra mask, shoulder/​arm/​scalp massage and complimentary samples to take home! My skin feels completely renewed. I’m moving from L.A. and sad I can’t take Noho Facials with me! I’d get on a plane to come in for a facial at Gigi’s.

Gigi rushed my facial. She did not do extractions. My skin broke out so badly after my treatment. I would not recommend her. The worst part was she name dropped all the people she worked with over the years. This wasn’t relaxing at all. When I left the treatment I noticed I had product left around my eyes and in my hair.

I really really wanted to give Gigi 5 stars. I feel bad having to write this review. I want to say first and foremost, that Gigi is extremely sweet and friendly, so this is why I am feeling torn even writing this review. After seeing all the 5 star reviews from others I thought that people should know what to expect before they go in for their appointment.
I have worked in the spa industry for over 3 years. I have tried hole in the wall places, and 5star high end day spas. I don’t like saying I’m spoiled when it comes to the spa experience, but the truth is that I am.
I purchased a living social voucher FOR A DEEP PORE CLEANSING FACIAL, and I was torn between 3 other facial deals on the site. With the reviews of NoHo Facials I decided to go with Gigi. I had been looking forward to this for over 3 weeks, I had just gotten slight hormonal acne, and small blackheads on my cheeks. I was ready to get a face revamp done.
I arrived 15 minutes early to my appointment time (my appt was 9:30am), which is usually mandatory so you can fill out paperwork prior to your service (at usual places). Luckily I got there earlier because like many previous Unilocaled stated, her place (apartment) is hard to find. She was still getting out of bed when I showed up at her front door, the facial bed was set up in the middle of her freezing cold living room. I am extremely allergic to cats too, and of course she had one, the living room smelled like cat and there was fur everywhere. I have extreme asthma that almost killed me, and a stage 3 cat allergy that could trigger my asthma. I figured if I got short of breath I could leave. But, I should have known that this was a bad start, and I should leave. But I gave her the benefit of the doubt.
I get onto the bed as she instructed me to do, shivering as I pulled the sheets over my body onto my chest trying to warm up. She came out and put on her ipod, and went to work. She used freezing cold water to wash my face, and then put the steam on. After the steam which was only about 3 minutes, she put more cold water on my face (which completely shrinks the pores up preventing proper extractions) she then put on creams and masks, and didn’t perform ANY extractions at all. Meanwhile during the facial there was a wind outside that kept slamming her screen door agains the wall. I was PISSED but I kept my cool.
She finished up and I asked if she does eyebrow and lash tint for extra. She said she did and I agreed to have it done. WHY DID I AGREE TO THIS? ILL NEVER KNOW. She started tinting my lashes, the dye got in my eye and burned so badly she had to keep squiring water in it. She finished the eye brows, and said she was done and that I looked beautiful.
I got up and looking into the mirror, there was still cherry mask caked on various places of my face, and my eyebrows were so dark that It looked unnatural. I was scared, and I tried not to cry. So I paid and left.
She has really wonderful stories about celebrities she knows, about yoga, and other things, she was easy to talk to and I enjoyed her company. However I was really really really disappointed in the environment and the facial itself.
P. S. I had photos of the AFTER but I deleted them in fear of writing this post. I decided people should know about what happened, and I shouldn’t be afraid of sharing my experience.

Had my first facial with Gigi, and I must say I’m very happy with the results. Had the deep pore cleansing, and I keep looking at my skin. She’s very personable and makes you feel relaxed. I like that she explains what she’s doing and what she’s using. The products smell heavenly. I’ve had tons of facials over the years — some of them in the best and most expensive places in town — and she’s up there with them. I’m going back!

I got my very first facial ever done by Gigi. I got a gift certificate from my husband for our wedding anniversary. I felt very relaxed with her. The environment was beautiful. The energy of the place was positive and light. The products she used on my face were all organic and smelled and felt great. She recommended some hiking trails for me to try, some yoga classes around my house, and was generally a great woman to be around. There was no excessive small talk, and I felt so wonderful after. She was kind and knew what she was doing. Her small lovely space is very unique and memorable. I will definitely return to her for more facials. My skin is soft and radiant, and I feel good and happy.

She is the best. Period. I love her facials! I first knew Gigi when I got a lifebooker deal around a year ago and has never gone anywhere else since then! She really takes the time to listen to your concerns and tries her best to make your skin improve. I didn’t usually notice the difference after a facial and every time I visit Gigi I definitely do. I don’t know if it is because of the products that she uses or the knowledge that she has but she works magic on your skin! After these months with her treatments my skin looks much better. And it is not only the facials that she does, she is also super nice and always receives you with a true smile. Thanks, Gigi!

I got a facial from Gigi today and I have to say it was hands down the best facial I’ve ever had. Being cursed with acne since the age of 14, I’ve had a looot of facials over the past 10 years and I can easily say that my experience with Gigi was the best.
First off, it was super easy to book an appointment. Second, even though I arrived 10 minutes late, she really took her time with my face and she made sure that it looked good before letting me leave instead of rushing me out the door as soon as my time was up. Also, Gigi has such a wonderful presence, I left my appointment feeling so relaxed and refreshed. Oh and my face looks amazing!

Wow! I can’t tell you enough how great I feel after my session with GiGi. I was planning to go out of the country for two months and needed a microdermabrasion facial stat. I went on lifebooker and purchased a deal from NoHo facials because it was well-​priced and top-​rated. I called her the same day to book the appointment and she fit me right in.
Please note that NoHo Facials is located in a bungalow /​home. So NO, you are not lost… you came to the right place.
From the moment I walked in, I was in a state of such blissful relaxation. The aroma therapeutic oils welcomed me in and the ambiance was positive and calming. I found out that many of GiGi’s pieces were accumulated from her travels in Morocco and Indonesia.
Anyways, from beginning to end, she was super thorough and extremely patient, answering all of my questions and explaining the process. She gave me a skin analysis and gave me natural tips to improve my skin from home. She also took care to check in to see how I was doing, as she understood how certain products would interact with my skin.
She also hooked me up with a free lash tint because she knew I was going to Europe for two months and was going to be a homeless backpacker. She is a gem. She goes out of her way to make her clients feel great.
Go see her. Just do it. I left with glowy, fresh, and youthful skin and I can’t wait to be back when I return from Europe. Found my go-​to girl!

Bless Gigi! I left feeling & looking like a million bucks. I can’t wait to go back! I have deep ance marks and melasma — let me just say, after one visit I felt like it looked SO MUCH BETTER.

My best friend treated me to a facial for my birthday & I am so thankful! I’ve been coming to her for three months now & she is my go to gal for anything skin related.
I have very, no, extremely sensitive, oily, acne prone skin. I’ve tried so many products and have succumb to tortuous procedures & treatments praying it would help my skin. I’ve tried it all!

I just got an AMAZING massage here…
Had the Lifebooker deal for $ 29 for a one hour Swedish Aromatherapy massage. I was confused as to where I was going because it’s a house basically. But she has transformed it into a lovely treatment room… first class massage table, great lighting, good quality blankets and soothing music.
I for sure got a full hour massage and probably more. Gigi quickly found the trouble spots and worked them out. It was bliss. And the oils she used were incredible… This was one of the best massages I’ve ever had.
I highly recommend and look forward to going back to try one of her facials!

Ms. Gigi and her esthetician business called «NoHo Facials» is a wonderful place. I purchased 3 facials off of the deal site Lifebooker and gave one of them to my mom as her Christmas present. I called her the day before we wanted the facials and she booked us at the time we requested — even sending an email confirmation — which I appreciated. I was a bit wary at first when I came up to the place as it’s a little bungalow apartment — but upon walking in the door, the entire room was set up (even nicer) than a regular spa room! Furry, soft blankets on the massage bed, a comfy couch to wait on (we had our facials back-​to-​back), pleasant music, and beautiful tall mirror at the end of the room helped the ambiance achieve maximum «zen».
We were greeted and offered bottles of water, while mom hopped on the furry-​blanketed table first. Gigi customized her facial with organic products and added a glycolic peel at no extra cost. My mom was very satisfied with the facial and loved the way her skin felt (even today, two days later). I’m a bit harder to please and have had many facials before, but I was also very impressed with my facial from Gigi. She worked with my specific skin issues and created a custom paprika «heat» fruit mask that helped to bring more color to my complexion. Well… it worked!
Overall the entire experience was exceptional. I would recommend going here if you like organic, customized facials. She does waxing too! :-)

Gigi is great ! Here’s the facts: day after Christmas (this year), girl seeking a facial before her upcoming trip out of the country (me) scours the internet to find a highly rated aesthetician who can see me same day and doesn’t cost an arm and a leg (Gigi). I had no idea what to expect. I knew she was in a bungalow in North Hlywood (yay I love the valley and will find an excuse
to go there for almost any reason), used organic products (was weary on this one bc organic doesn’t always equal better) and had a faithfully Unilocal following.
My journey to North Hollywood from DTLA only took 20 minutes (holiday week yes …). Instantly I liked Gigi, felt at ease and by the look of her radiant skin felt at ease ! She is friendly, thorough, precise and a damn good aesthetician. Turns out the organic line I was weary about is called Illike and heavenly ! I emerged after my facial and peel (all super reasonable by the way) looking so glowy!
I felt so relaxed and pampered after my facial all my worries seemed to drift away. I highly, highly recommend Gigi and will no doubt be a repeat customer.

Gigi is the real deal and a hidden gem! I come to her for my usual microdermabrasion and custom facial session. I used to hate getting facials because my face would get itchy but Gigi changed my mind. I love the products she uses because my skin is very sensitive and I feel she’s feeding good vitamins to my face. After the session, my face always feels so refreshed with a glow.
The atmosphere at NoHo Facial feels like I’m hanging out at a friends house and it just so happens my friend is a professional licensed aesthetician! Relaxing and fun experience everytime. I highly recommend everyone to try her at least once and you’ll understand my love for NoHo Facials.
I love listening to her stories being in the entertainment industry and professional accomplishments. She’s really sweet and knows what she’s talking about when it comes to your face. One time, she even made me tea and cut up fruits for me because I told her I missed breakfast. She said she didn’t want me to feel hungry during my facial. That was unexpected and very kind of her! So happy I found NoHo Facials.
