Professional Piano Teacher

Ana is an accomplished and expert pianist of the first rank and you will be amazed by her repertoire and technical abilities. Most importantly for me, as her student, is that she is an accomplished, dedicated and encouraging instructor who I rate second to none. I have been her student for under two years, and I have been practicing piano as an older adult for almost 4 years. The best compliment I can pay Ana is that even though I am a beginning student who is gradually playing more difficult pieces, she strives to make me play the piano as well as she does. She does not place limits on me and encourages me to play more difficult pieces as my skill level increases. She expects me to play at my best and shows me to how to accomplish it. I recognize that like me, many students can play notes and have fast technical playing ability or the ability to play notes quickly. Ana teaches me how to contour and shape the notes/​tones to make the music the composer intended with meaning and emotions. Ana will provide the knowledge that gives you that meaning and understanding — so that you can play music and not merely notes. If you are lucky enough to become her student, your skills, knowledge of piano, music theory, composition and understanding will increase dramatically. I highly recommend Ana as a pianist, teacher, and as a person.

It’s hard to describe the amount of knowledge and talent Mrs. Anahit has and the amount of patience and care she puts in teaching. I have been her student for two years and I have enjoyed every class. She is very passionate about music and she always finds a way to clearly explain the technical challenges I have faced when learning. I feel very lucky to have such a great mentor.
