One of the most difficult aspects of planning my wedding was finding the right officiant. My husband and I originally wanted an interfaith ceremony with two officiants(one from each religion). Unfortunately, we were unable to find two officiants that were willing to conduct a ceremony together. I found Rabbi Craig online when trying to search for an officiant who could conduct an interfaith ceremony. My husband and I met him for lunch one day and spent the entire afternoon at Jerry’s Deli. We both knew after that initial meeting that Rabbi Craig was the right person to hire for our wedding. Given we had met him a year before the wedding, we decided to attend his services that are held on the third Friday of the month at Congregation Tikkun Olam in Studio City. For that entire year, we really got to know Rabbi Craig and his family. I appreciated that we knew our officiant personally when our wedding day finally arrived because it made the ceremony that much more special. Rabbi Craig is extremely charismatic and unconventional. He is able to conduct a ceremony that has aspects of seriousness as well as humor. He is able to connect with others despite their religious background. Many of our guests commented on how much they enjoyed our ceremony because Rabbi Craig was entertaining and able to explain every element of tradition we incorporated into it. My husband and I have really enjoyed developing a relationship with Rabbi Craig and his family. We look forward to celebrating more special occasions with them in the future.
