Do not order from these people. I ordered 2 items and received 1. After months of back and forth emails, the store just kept my money. They said after 30 days they couldn’t refund money and the item never came back in stock. They literally just took money for an item I ordered and never sent me the item and said no refunds. I contacted BBB and State Attorney’s office — they said I would have to take them to small claims.

This place is HORRIBLE! They claim they custom make every piece which is a croc of s**t! I ordered a jacket 12.21.2013 and didn’t recieve it until 02.12.2014. Their response time is not good at all! When I recieved the item it was not what I expected… material was horrible and the sizing was so off it wasn’t even funny.
Would never shop with this site again! Highly dissapointed!

I am warning everyone out there to not buy one single thing from this sham of a clothing «boutique».
I ordered two things from them. A jacket, and a Hoodie. First of all I am a male, 6’1″
and slim.
after ONE MONTH, i emailed them to ask why my order was still not at my door. The next day they shipped it. Odd.
When my order arrived I got excited because i had been waiting forever and i was interested in the designs. Well, the «custom made» clothing that they claim they sell… absolute crap. You get what you pay for. They jacket has threads sticking out of everywhere and couldn’t fit a any size man, even though i got a large. It was made for a small woman. The quality of the jacket was horrendous, and it looked like it was made by a five year old. The hoody was almost nice, I got a large. I gave it to my wife because it fit her…5’9″ 120lbs. I sent over 5 emails demanding my money back for the jacket. They want to charge me a 25% restocking fee, AND they want me to pay the return shipping. You will NEVER be able to speak with them. Their number is a messaging service. It has been 5 days and still no response, even after multiple emails and 3 voicemails. I finally let them know i was going to contact the better business bureau, and my lawyer. They still have not responded. This company is a TOTAL SCAM. YOU WILL GET ROBBED. Save yourself a ton of headaches and stress.

I am giving them a 2 because their clothes from what I see on their website look amazing and the style is something you can not find anywhere else, however the customer service and follow up are mediocre at best. They say 20 business days you should receive your order, 20 days came and went. Not one single follow up from the customer. I had to email them four times and post on their facebook page and really make a huge deal out of it to get their attention. Your orders will be held up due to «having 4 people that work for the company», «customs held it up», «a mislabeling issue». Excuse after excuse and the blame gets pointed in all directions. All i wanted was to know the status of my order after having spent a large amount of money and the follow up and reason when i finally got someone to contact me back are poor. If you want to order custom clothes and wait for longer than anticipated than order from here, but good luck getting a hold of anyone to find out the status.

So like John stated in his review, I too feel like I should give SLS distributors less stars, however I’m giving them the benefit of the doubt, hoping that they improve because they have some really great items for sale.
THE GOOD:
Great styles. Their wide variety and unique styles and really a breath of fresh air for anyone wanting to change up their look.
Customer service. Although I have seen mostly the same public responses on their FB page that I have received, they are generally responsive to you as well as proactive. When something was out of stock, I immediately got a message saying so and was offered an option of a refund or store credit. When I went to make my next purchase, it was easy to use the store credit I had requested.
Cheap! Their clothes, especially for how unique their designs are, don’t cost a ton. They don’t seem to charge for the brand name (read: you don’t pay $ 300 for a jacket just because it says «Super Dry» on it).
THE BAD:
Cheap! Unfortunately the price does reflect the quality of material. Basically what your’e paying for is the style. You don’t spend $ 300 for a jacket but you also shouldn’t expect a thick, smooth wool with a nice warm lining either. I’ve seen some complaints about this on their FB page but IMO, you shouldn’t really be expecting super high quality fabrics at this price point for a unique design.
The fit. BE CAREFUL HERE. They say the clothes are «custom made»… nope. If they were custom made, they wouldn’t have the dimensions of a tiny asian boy. Even with their sizing charts, their clothes seem to run small or are tight in odd places, especially the arms that seem to be made for the malnourished (and I’m saying that as a person who has the same sized forearm as my 100lb girlfriend). It seems as though the clothes are made in China, for the Chinese market and the «custom» part is the «SLS Distributors» stamp they put on the tags. Waist, stomach, forearm and bicep measurements, thigh and calf measurements are all things they could easily include to help people get a better sense of how something fits. More details about the garment itself would help too. Does the fabric, waist band, cuffs stretch? How thick is the fabric? Does it generally fit large or small? Are there other items that fit similarly? What is the name of the fabric it’s made out of (i.e. Jersey, Fleece, Rayon, Tweed, Velvet, etc.).
THE UGLY:
Their shipping. Holy crap it’s awful. My first order took about a month to get to me and I’ve read other stories of 2 – 3 months. What it sounds like to me is that they don’t want to hold any inventory, so they receive an order, forward that to their manufacturer in China, they «custom make» the garment, which is then shipped to North Hollywood, repackaged and shipped to the customer. Hardly efficient. On top of that, the general response to customers is an arrogant «we tell you that it could take 20 days to ship so we’re not responsible for you not reading our terms and conditions». Sorry, that just doesn’t fly and is not the market average for fulfillment. Have a bit more humility there and let people know that you’re working on not such a ridiculous shipping schedule. Also, I paid almost $ 20 for shipping and received a flat rate Priority Mail box that cost $ 6 to ship. Why $ 20? maybe because you also pay for the shipping from overseas? I find it very surprising that this isn’t built into the cost of the clothes.
Return policy. Also quite arrogant. They believe that just because they put the shoulder, arm length and chest size on their site, that people can get an accurate feel of how something fits so they won’t offer returns at full price. I do like their clothes enough not to want a full refund, but an exchange (which is possible for no extra charge). As I stated before, unless you actually show more measurements, there is NO way to know how something is going to fit without trying it on.
CONCLUSION:
Despite the ridiculous shipping policy, delusional expectations around estimating the fit along with low quality fabric, I would still and have still ordered more clothes from them. I give them the benefit of the doubt when it comes to some of these issues and know what I’m getting into with the quality of fabric. I hope that they are just a small, understaffed and fairly young company and they will be able to grow and mature, continuing to offer great styles that we don’t see state-​side very often.

First, I’m all for shopping online. There’s more fashionable clothing, plus chances are someone won’t be wearing the same thing as you. SLS Distributors offers a great array of stylish clothing for the formal teen, to the stylish student attending a university. Although their clothing is at a great price, their service– it gave me a headache, literally. I placed an order consisting of a formal cardigan and a lovely grey coat on Semptember 3^rd of this year (2012). Today is the 15^th of October, I still haven’t received my items. The maximum days, I believe the order should be delivered to the customers according to their website is 20 days. Unless they have «delays» of some sort. When the 20 days were up I started to gain great curiousity on how my delivery was doing. Little did I know that was going to be the first of many e-​mails I would send to the company. They’d constantly say they’d check on my order, or it was being inspected before delivery, etcetera. After a plethora of messages back and forth, yesterday around 9:10p.m. they contacted me saying they got the wrong coat due to it being a different color and they barely figured it out– after all this time. That’s when my head literally began aching, because in all this time since September 3^rd, this is all that has been accomplished. My coat is the wrong color so they had to place the order into production again. My other item is being shipped as we speak; I’m very happy about that part, but the rest is just dreadful. I will say though, because they found out it was the wrong color they reduced the amount, which I don’t know how much, and like I said, they’ll be sending my other item which I placed with my other coat– aside from the fact both items were place on the same order. All I have to say is the prices may be good, the clothing may be stylish, but the company seems to be lacking promise in their dedication to give great service to their customers. I presumed I was the only customer who was suffering from the company’s headache-​causing-​service, but as you can see the other customer too had «delays» of some sort. I know I will be happy with my clothes, but the dilemma with time and management I had to experience with SLS Distributors sort of unbalances the scale– making the clothes they sell weigh more than their service. I will not be ordering from them again. If you want a bargain like SLS Distributors, go to
, they sell clothes such as SLS and also have some clothing SLS has as well. I thought I should inform you of the poor service SLS Distributors provides. I don’t want anybody to be a victim of overbearing patience and «delays» they seem to be experiencing.

I feel like I should give the online SLS Boutique less stars, but I can’t.
First of all, I LOVE their clothes. From the pictures I KNOW I can fit in those clothes and they are very trendy. They are so my style! I do love that they make to order. It means that they will take their time on one item per order than quickly mass-​produce a large quantity and the quality does show. But when it came to getting my items it got a little complicated…
I ordered a few things in late November, hoping I would get stuff for myself around Christmastime. It turns out, they were having difficulty getting the materials or something and it took a while. Despite the items being M.I.A. without a word, the owner contacted me and gave me the option for store credit on a piece that was not able to be made. He was very nice and quickly refunded me for the item (I’m still deciding on one thing to use the credit on… Oh, tricky decisions! lol). And instead of waiting for all the remaining available items to come in to ship, they sent them to me when it was available so I can gradually be trendy! haha
Overall, the customer service was EXCELLENT even though it took about a month and a half to get all the items I ordered (that could still be made). I’m just happy they’re here.
Besides, you forget about the wait when you get more compliments on your awesome jacket the first day of wearing it than the number of days it takes to get them. ;)
