Tiki No

So last year I decided to spend my birthday at Tiki No. It’s close to my house and has a great smoking lounge. While the drinks are over priced and the bar tenders were never particularly friendly the convenience of the place sealed the deal.
It was a Monday night and the entire place was dead. Besides my birthday guests (30 friends) maybe 10 other people occupied the bar between 8 and 12. I had one too many drinks and as I was heading to the bathroom I told my friend that I felt sick (nauseas). Before I even made it to the bathroom the bouncer kicked me out of the side door. When I asked if I could at least use the restroom so I wouldn’t pee in the street or vomit on the curb he said he would check with the bartender. He came back said no and left me by myself in the cold without my jacket or purse. Didn’t let anyone in my party know that I had been kicked out and didn’t offer to call me a cab. I had to walk around to the front of the bar and tell my friends that were on the patio that I got kicked out.
When the entire bar starting closing out the bartender told everyone that they didn’t have to leave as well just me. It was my birthday party!!! She shot herself in the foot! I’m not trying to say they should have let me stay that drunk. I get that they could get in trouble but don’t kick out the birthday girl without any of her belongings out of a side door and not let anyone In her party know. Then beg my party to stay because I was the only reason you were getting business on a Monday night! What if I drove home like that… They would be sued.

Came here for birthday party on a Sunday night. Was pretty quiet that night, so sort of perfect for a party because it felt private. Very low lighting. A definite tropical theme throughout and not noisy at all. Also, great service. Only negative is that they don’t serve food. If they would get some Hawaiian bbq in there it would be perfect for watching a game on a Sunday. However, at nine on Sunday’s is when the karaōke starts. I left before this but I’m sure it was fun!!! Where excessive exclamation equals sarcasm. I can’t sing.

Went for a friends bday and had great service and steong drinks! Yhe BEST bartender Simon! I highly recommend getting there early enough to get an open table.

I enjoyed the atmosphere, honestly Stacy is a darling she surprised me with an awesome drink I love it!

This place is always great. We love the drinks here. Stacey is great she makes the most amazing drinks and she makes it with passion. Love watching a master work her art. Will be back. Going to get massage next.

After having a terrible experience at a restaurant I was looking for a fun bar to go to. I came across Tikki Not and it sure made our night! This place is super cute! The drinks were strong and the bartenders were so nice. It was a little small but overall it was a great place.

OMG this place literally blew me away.
When I walked in here I felt like I transported to an island. This place is amazing! I felt exotic almost or maybe it was all the drinks I was slamming down.
If you like island style drinks this is the place to go and mind you their piña coladas are to die for. They also have a thing where you buy a tiki mug for $ 10 & buy the drink that comes with it ($ 10) you’ll get unlimited refills of the drink for $ 8. That’s a steal plus you get a cute tiki mug!
My bestie and I enjoyed that place. Bonus feature: Sunday nights is Karaōke night.

Lighting, drinks, happy hour, all sell this place as well as Service too. Parking wasn’t an issue, cause we lucked out with parking right in front, and only had to pay $ 1 for an hour. While we enjoyed our drinks we got to watch the movie Avatar, not an Island themed movie, but definitely a fan favorite. The different bottles of rum they have for décor definitely caught our eyes. The way the booths are decorated was a nice setup as well, with the tree leaves making you feel like you were on an island. If you don’t have access to a menu, no worries happy hour specials are listed right above for anyone to have an easy look. Definitely coming back here when in town, and looking for a island feel get away.

I like to drink period. I enjoy the a good beverage made of rum. So I went to this place called the tiki no! They gave me what I wanted. They have a mug club which you can get and also just enjoy the whole tiki culture. They play Gillian’s island on the TV. Got to love that and Tara the bartender is great. I will be back again a and again

had 4 drinks, $ 36 (tip not included). think it was fairly priced and it was not water downed. the piña colada was already pre-​slushed and you can still taste the alcohol.

I love a good tiki bar! Great happy hour from 5 – 8 (hh drinks are $ 6), awesome tiki style drinks, tasteful tiki décor, and a nice little outdoor area with two TVs! Tiki No? I think Tiki Yes!
I came on a Wednesday with co-​workers so it was pretty empty, but I prefer it this way. I ordered the Lychee Luau (rum of Trinidad, rum of St. Croix, lychee liqueur, Falernum, pineapple juice, fresh lemon) and the Toasted Marshmallow (overproof rum of Jamaica, fluffed vodka, Licor 43, Falernum, apple juice, cinnamon, fresh lemon). Both on the sweet and sour side, but really good! Have your camera ready for the Toasted Marshmallow because they will set that marshmallow on fire!
They do not serve food here, but we ordered Little Toni’s pizza from down the street and had it delivered to the bar. It worked out perfectly!

A friend and I drank here last night for the first time. We both enjoyed this place. The bartender, Derrick, was super kind and cool.
It was kind of crowded, but not too bad. The people inside seemed high-​energy, drunk, and happy. It was karaōke night, which is something I generally dislike… a lot… but I wasn’t too bothered by it. The people singing seemed to be really enjoying themselves… Everyone did, really. I definitely wouldn’t want to come here for a drink on my own or in a big group… but it was a good, upbeat, atmosphere to have a couple drinks with a friend.
The inside was well-​decorated; lots of tiki and island stuff, but obnoxiously over-​the-​top. I liked the low-​lighting… Pretty dark in there, but some colorful lights above… Not strobing or anything annoying.
The patio area was more mellow. Nothing special, decoration-​wise, out there. Just a basic, functional, outdoor area.
Started with a Scorpion Bowl. My friend and I both really liked it. It was really boozy and tasty without being boozy-​tasting. After that, I got another cocktail with juice and rum, and I liked that as well. The menu is great; it explains what’s in all of the cocktails. When I first looked at it, I really wanted to try the cocktail that has Campari in it; it sounded really inventive and different than the expected Campari cocktail… But getting a bowl with all the gimmicky tiki-​bar things in and on it sounded fun. And that drink was so good that I just wanted another one that was somewhat similar.
I enjoyed my time here and plan to come back in the near future. I’d recommend this place to anyone looking for a tiki bar in the LA area.

I used to love tiki no and now I’m super upset. My friends and I ordered a round of zombies that literally had no alcohol in them. I swear it tasted only like grapefruit juice.
I really want to come back here but this recent experience has left a sour taste in my mouth.

Amazing drinks. Derek is an incredibly talented bartender and a really nice guy! I came here with my friend while already a bit buzzed and ordered the scorpion bowl, which is the equivalent of 6 cocktails. He warned us that it is very strong, but we went ahead and split that. It is served with long straws with the center shot on fire-​fun to drink! We also tried the Chief Lapu Lapu, which was a sweet citrus rum cocktail.
The atmosphere here was too busy and loud for my taste, but it was a karaōke night, so perhaps we just came on the wrong night. I rarely find myself in North Hollywood, but if for some reason I do again, I will happily return to Tiki No.

SPACE: You walk in and instantly are hit with the perfect amount of Tiki décor, nothing too tacky. Large indoor space with plenty of seating (I got a table within 10 minutes of arriving on a Friday night) They also have an outdoor patio.
DRINKS: everything on their specialty menu was amazing and had just enough liquor. We got our drinks less than 5 minutes despite the busy night and our waitress was quick.
STAFF: Everyone was down to earth and friendly but the person who made my night was the owner, Simon! I truly appreciate when a business owner takes pride in their business and shows commitment and truly cares about their customers. The entire night Simon made rounds at every single table, made small talk with guests to see how they were doing and to see if they needed anything. I even saw him helping staff behind the bar making drinks. I don’t know how this place only has 3.5 stars! We went Tonga Hut in NoHo first and left because it smelled like throw up and didn’t feel like a Tiki bar. Glad we came here instead.
This place even allowed guests to bring in outside food since they do not serve food. Would definitely recommend serving some small finger foods if you have room for a kitchen. Or maybe arrange for a taco man/​lady to hang out outside! ;) Until then the chips they have are AMAZING!
Will definitely be returning!

Cool themed bar in Noho. The house cocktails are kinda too sweet for me, but they do have some yummy drinks. Their coconut mojito is always on happy hour which is a nice treat at $ 6. Our bartender the night that we were there was fantastic. Super nice, fun and friendly. He was from Detroit and very knowledgeable about the areas bars.
Cool spot for a casual drink or a first stop on a fun night out in Noho.

First of all this bar is amazing, and second Tara is the absolute best bartender I have ever encountered. She’s seriously the reason my friend and I went back here, we loved her that much.
I was there that night that Nathan M had his «encounter» with Tara. He was so rude to her and claimed that he gets drunk and loses his card everywhere he goes. And his girlfriend also told Tara to «just do her f***ing job». Not only was Tara polite to them but continued to serve them drinks after that and didn’t say anything negative.
Just go to Tiki No and see for yourself how fun this place is. It’s decked out in cute tiki décor, with very strong well made drinks. All the bartenders are friendly and make you feel more than welcomed. Not to mention they are super quick and the wait to get a drink is almost non existent. There’s also the occasional food truck outside. The people that come in here are so friendly and its a nice place to go and hang out.
If you’re in the area, or even not in the area you have to check out Tiki no. Come alone or bring 20 people, either way you’re going to have fun.

came here on a thursday from a suggestion of a friend for her bday. The place is small, cute and divey. I got there around 830 and there were a good amoutn of people all sitting in the booths. we were able to find a booth and looked over the menu. we weren’t sure if there was a waitress that would come take our order or if we needed to go to the bar. a waitresses ended up coming.
i ordered the lychee luau (DELISH) and my friend ordered the coconut mojitio (AMAZING). Our other friend also ordered the mojito. it was super light and re-​freshing. i got it as my second drink. the drinks aren’t super strong, but they do sneak up on you. the price was right, the mojitio was $ 6 and the lychee was $ 9. Not bad for a fun cocktail.
Apprently they have happy hour drinks from 5 – 7 daily so we had missed it by then, not sure what their pricing is for happy hour. the only downside is they don’t have any food. i think it would be a perfect place for a drink and a few fun appetizers. they did advertise on the menu that they had bags of chips for $ 2, but that’s just not the same.
overall the place was fun and drinks were good. it’s in a sort of random area, not next to other bars or restaurants. parking was decent. street parking with metered spots. a few side streets to find additional parking. i was able to find something pretty close.

I heard about Tiki No when I first moved to LA almost two years ago… But my first visit was last night (what can I say. I don’t get out to north hollywood too often). I was with my girlfriend and she kept telling me how amazing their coconut mojitos are. I don’t like sugary, syrupy drinks at all (I like to taste my alcohol… less calories that way too)…but she told me they are made from fresh coconuts and i just haaad to try one. We got there around midnight. seemed a little busy for a monday night– not too crazy but I was surprised.
I didn’t really think the drink would be that great but it was! I was only going to have one before heading home but I decided to have two.
I would definitely come back again. It seems like a cute place for a little get together with friends… too bad it isn’t closer to me.

Wow just found my new fav tiki place! Walked in to find it karaōke night in Sunday and I couldn’t help myself «piña colada song» with a piña colada bring it! No shame
Used to work at Trader Vic’s for a while so I know my tiki drinks and these are bomb!!! Sunny our amazing bartender was awesome and super friendly felt like I was on vacation and I’m only 15 mins from Hollywood !
Fav drink of the night is the chief Lapu Lapu but you can’t beat a $ 6 Piña Colada and its AMAZINg! Don’t think I’ll be caught in the rain though ;-) #lastruggle
