Valley Plaza Park and Recreation Center

Always come to this park to enjoy the nice warm sun. Love bringing my nephews and nieces to play and run wild. Very calm and quiet.

I just stopped in for a short bit to watch a friends son play soccer. This place was made for soccer. Huge space specifically designed for it. Only bummer is the grass is almost non existent.
Parking is ample and it seems there are plenty of side vendors roaming about. Ice cream, elotes, some random things too. So you won’t go hungry or thirsty.
This place gets really crowded. Not my cup of tea but it does appear to be quite popular.

The free basketball league «Class Park Makes Life Better» is the worst team every! The players have unsportsman like behavior, they are sore losers and ready to fight. The park’s refs play show favoritism therefore encourages the moral of the game. If your son or daughter ever has a game here beware.

If you love to Line Dance, I just discovered a wonderful place to enjoy a Thursday morning. Check out the class at the Rec Center on Archwood. 10am class costs $ 3.00. If you like it you can pay another $ 3.00 for the membership. dance and have fun until the afternoon, or stay as long as you like. Great group of people. Loved it.

I come here every other day to jog and work out. I haven’t found a better spot than this yet; each loop around the park is a little less than ½ mile, and the wide flat benches are perfect to work out on. The park is very clean and quiet in the morning but gets crowded at night. I enjoy this park.

This is a great park to bring your kid to play!
Lots of staff that the little one can do here!
No homeless or drunk people sleeping on the benches! No one is making baby’s here!
I never sow a black van with tended windows everything is great!
1. Problem here is lots of people come here to see stuff and they put the things on the playground it bothers the kids and sometimes kids cry and want more and more toys from them! That’s why they there to attract kids buying there toys every time we go!

This is a nice park in the morning when all the park workers have picked up all the trash from the previous day. However it doesn’t take long for it to fill up with bouncy houses and parties around the middle of the day. Everyone lets their trash fly across the park like it’s no big deal. I’m all for having fun but for the love of god pick up and keep track of your trash. If it was nice when you got there it should be nice when you leave. That seems like common sense normally but not in this neighborhood.

This place is a hidden gem in North Hollywood. My cousin and I came here and I didn’t expect it to be so… useful. There is a windy track that is roughly less than a quarter of a mile. There are little workout stations with simplified workout machines, pull up bars, and things staggered throughout the track.
During the week, the place it pretty busy with families, kids, community sports teams, and just PEOPLE walking around, working out, and playing. In the morning on the weekends this place is pretty empty. Parking is not really a situation since you can troll around and find parking in the residential streets or down the long road.
I wouldn’t go here alone, but it definitely is a great alternative a gym membership if it is taken advantage of. I’m happy to see parents bringing their kids out to play here instead of sitting in front of the TV.
Props to you North Hollywood for building this place, let’s hope you keep up with it’s maintenance.

I use to love coming to this park until the hispanic ladies started selling things next to the playground. lol.
I don’t mind the raspado, elotero, and paletero because they are not next to the play ground. They usually stand by the baseball filed. Hell, I even like the Hot Dog and Fruit Lady, but the ladies, right next to the playground with hundreds of toys are not right. lol. What if, you have no money and you take your little one and they keep begging for a toy? Plus is makes the park look even more like Mini TJ.
Just saying.
Besides this, I enjoy coming and walking around the track. Nothing else to say about this place.

my kids love this park. its close to my house and stores. the playground is real nice lots of different things for the kids to play. my son also play tee ball there has lots of fun. theres lots of shad for the parents i dont see any bums around and the bathrooms are close to the playground

What can I say? This park is pretty cool … next to the freeway and walking distance from a Gentleman’s club …
No BUMS sleeping on the park benches, and no unmarked vans parked in the parking lot with tinted windows …
I played tennis with some friends here … and man, its not my fault im the Andre Aggasi of North Hollywood … They need to step their game up son!
I would say, dont come here after 930pm … It got real sketchy after that time … I saw some cholos holding brown bags … no sure what was in it tho …
