I moved to Las Vegas in 2007 to pursue a career in aviation. After spending some time flying based in Montana, Utah, New York and Nevada, I enjoy the moderate flying weather here in Las Vegas. I have been a flight instructor for 8 years and take pride in teaching. In addition to running Airwork Las Vegas I also am the Director of Operations for 5 Star Grand Canyon Helicopter Tours under Part 135, and am a Check Airman. I am a Designated Pilot Examiner for the FAA so all of the Airwork instructors know exactly what is expected for their applicants to pass their check ride.

These guys were super friendly and gave a great ride. Found a good deal on groupon for them too! Small, personal chopper was awesome. They go up the strip and back down, whole thing takes about 15 min. Would definitely recommend!

Unprofessional and rude. I purchased a Groupon for this company. First they never pick up their phone you always have to leave a message which they never call back. When I finally did reach them when I told them I had a Groupon they said they were booked for the entire week I was in Vegas. I contacted Groupon who refunded my money immediately and booked us on Skyline Helicopters where we were treated like royalty and had one of the best nights in Vegas on the strip tour.

Omg! Hands on THE BEST!!! From the moment I called to make an appointment — to the 1st interaction with Kat– she knew my NAME!!! So for me dealing with the screw up of my name she nailed it and that’s when I knew– they gained a returning customer!!!
The strip tour is AMAZING!!! I sat with the pilot! The view was soooo great!!!
The picture they take right before you get in the helicopter came out SO COOL!!! So have fun and enjoy this ride!

$ 160 for a 20 minute flying time intro lesson in a helicopter. Best eight hands of $ 20 blackjack I’ve ever had! Really had a great time.
I might not be the typical student. I had never even ever flown in a helicopter. But I do have 18,000 flight hours, mostly as an airline captain. I am scared of heights. Was nervous about helicopters. Really knew nothing, but had read a little and this book knowledge was made more theoretical by having a degree in physics. The instructor, a young lady named Jackie, handled it all with grace, understanding, and a strong focus on safety. She really was awesome.
We did a couple of patterns, explored the effects of the flight controls, and ended up practicing hovering. Gave me one control to play with. Then I tried anther, Then she gave me two at a time. Eventually, for a few wonderful seconds, collective cyclic and pedals. In the hover. Total blast!
Equipment was in excellent shape. Whole experience was as advertised. Highly recommend.

Great Strip helicopter tour at a very good price. Luana at the office was very efficient and friendly. Jimmy, our pilot, Is AWESOME!!! The ride was my son birthday gift and he loved it! I will take more family members for sure!

So you might say we dodged a bullet. Anyway Groupon refunded the money and booked us on Skyline Helicopters where we were treated like royalty and had one of the best nights in Vegas on the strip tour.

A small, startup helicopter company with a big heart. Matt, the owner, is very professional and knowledgable. The North Las Vegas airport is a perfect environment for training and there is literally no flight time wasted getting to an airport to practice approaches. Matt has a good relationship with the DPEs so come checkride time, you’ll be prepared. Strongly recommend this company as the best «bang for your buck».
