Overall great service for a great price. I had a small amount of stuff I needed to move from Los Angeles to Washington State and didn’t think it was worth the price of a moving company to move it. But American Home Movers gave me a very reasonable quote. They could do all the driving, loading and unloading for less than it would have cost me to rent a truck and drive it myself. Frank, who I spoke with on the phone, was very easy to work with and answered all my questions.
My only issue with this company was during pickup when I felt the gentleman who was loading my items was trying to charge me for things I was told I wouldn’t need– i.e. tape to tape their own moving blankets, and a wardrobe box, when I was told over the phone that a garment bag would be fine. Ultimately though, it was fine, and they didn’t charge me extra.
The «shining stars» of my experience were Vincent and Cesar, who unloaded my things. They kept my updated with phone calls throughout the day, were very polite, and were thorough, making sure I had all my items, and was satisfied with the condition of everything.
Job well done!

This company is absolutely horrible!!! I moved from Houston, Tx to Henderson, Nevada and contracted Condor Moving Systems out of Arlington. The result was having American Home Movers being sub-​contracted by my original company, Condor to move me in. The semi arrived with no logo on it. When they opened up the doors boxes were spilling out of there. My items were mixed in with another customer and crammed to the max. There were two men that drove in the van and two other younger men that drive in their own vehicles.
To make a very long story short… they broke the footboard on my king bed because they literally flung it on and it split the wood. There were multiple crystal heirlooms smashed, a vase shattered, a box missing along with other broken items.
They put boxes in my master bath that did not belong there and they were stacked up like a wall. No one was to be in that bathroom. Unfortunately I had my jewelry pouch on the bathroom counter not realizing they would enter in there. It wasn’t until the day after that I noticed my wedding ring set, diamond tennis bracelet and a blue topaz ring missing. Mind you, for that whole week there were no other trades in my home.
The owner did not have the decency to call me after reporting this until two and a half weeks later. The call was very short as he was extremely rude and gave the impression he did not care. On the other hand, the owner of Condor Moving Systems did make attempts to get to the bottom of this but that was short lived as well.
The case is with the police but beware, this man hires thieves.

The movers moving us from Southern CA to Washington have been great! Very polite, careful, and so hard working. We could not have done this cross country move without American Home Movers. Thank you so much!

Just thought after two years, I’d update.
The stolen PS3 is being continuously logged into, and because of a massive password security flaw, I’m seeing the thief (4 times so far in the last week) try to reset the password.
This whole process still sickens me two years later. I took the very advice from the American Home Movers and filed a police report, contacted Sony, etc. Obviously, there’s nothing that can be done for a video game console at this point, but if the company’s only advice to its overlying dishonesty is to press charges against individuals on their payroll, then there’s a problem with their company.
Absolutely no restitution has been attempted on their part and I am saddened that a company cares that little about its reputation.
Other reviews are still prominent in theft. You’d be wise to stay away.

Great job American home movers moved us from Las Vegas to Dallas tx 2 weeks ago … Few companies came over for visuals but they were the only one that I was trusted they were little more expensive but I didn’t mind won’t trust any company with my goods. Gershon and his 3 helpers came pack and load all them same day trailer was ready to load and after 5 days they deliver to Dallas … Me and wife very happy and will highly recommend … 2 thumbs up for American home movers …

We are greatly effected and disappointed with Mid– Moving/​American Home Movers. We were shocked by the lack of professionalism, the delays, and the disbelief to find our most valuable and expensive items damaged in the move. You can certainly expect us to never use this moving company again and will inform others to never use American Mid Movers again. THEY ARE A SCAM!!! I am in the process of reporting this company to the DOT, BBB, and American Movers Associations.
We had paid for «Carrier Packaging» which was defined in our moving quote as professional moving material to keep our items safe. We had paid for specific Mirror Boxes, TV Boxes, Crate Boxes, etc. that was guaranteed by Mid Movers to protect our items. They told us they have never damaged goods before. The men were reckless and careless and did not use furniture pads, the paid for crates and boxes, not even bubble wrap for the most fragile and expensive personal items in our move. We countlessly had to ask them to please use pads to protect our furniture, but they ran out and just used «tape» to try and wrap or stock items together. This is unheard of! They told us they «have been moving people for years and know what they are doing.» They said they were behind schedule and had to «get going» with no regard to how they had caused us to miss our airline flights because they showed up late. Sure enough, weeks later when our most expensive furniture items were delivered, they were shattered or damaged beyond belief or repair. It looked like the moving truck tumbled down a mountain by the way our belongings must have been packed and not cared for.
Not only were the movers late picking up our items, they were even more beyond LATE in delivery our items. We stated in our contract that the earliest delivery date we could receive our items in the move was a few days later. Weeks went by and we tried contacting dispatch, and anyone in the offices/​customer service to inquire the ETA of our movers. We were brought to Ellie in the dispatch office who was beyond rude, unprofessional, and hostile over the phone to us. She told us, «by law, they have the right to deliver our items no more than 30 days after they pick it up, so they are not late and there is nothing they can do about it.» This is blasphemy! We had to arrange to stay in hotels and with friends and family for weeks because we could not move into our new apartment in Chicago, due to the movers lying about the delivery time. Our items were picked up October 25^th and were not delivered until November 20, 2015, almost a FULL MONTH LATER! The costs we accrued in hotel fee’s, and the hassle we had to endure making other plans to stay with friends and family without our household items in the move was the worst experience. Ellie laughed at us on the phone and hung up the phone on us every time we called to try and ask for a manager to tell us where our items were! ELLIE needs to be fired.
WARNING TO ALL!!! You will save on money and time by finding a better moving company than «thinking» you will save money with American Home Movers. They are a scam, reckless, careless, unprofessional, LATE, and will tack on all and any fees last minute in the contract that you won’t be aware of.

My husband and I moved from Oakland California to Washinton state.
We had a good experience with the booking staff over the phone before the move.
Vincent and Cesar did a great job from start to finish with the actual moving of our items.
They were punctual, fast and professional.
I recommend American Home Movers and I would use them again.

Bedbugs, theft, and damage! Our experience went well until we coordinated our delivery. Up until this point my communication had been with an outsourced phone reps and not the local office. The local Las Vegas office was very hard to reach Monday-​Friday and often not there on Monday or Friday, despite their posted online hours. Their voicemail is also full and so you can never leave message and must resort to calling them frequently until some one answers.
The largest reason I chose American Home Mover was that they assured me they do not out source their trucks and it would be their men I would be dealing with from pick up to delivery. This was Not the case. My delivery in DC was outsourced to a New Jersey company. We had significant damage to 50% of our boxes, still missing two boxes from our inventory, and ended up with one box from someone else. Now I am dealing with the company in New jersey to locate my boxes but they take no responsibility since my contract is the American home movers.
Also upon delivery, one man stole a watch out if my jewelry box. He was confronted by us And removed it from his pocket. Wow, but again this company takes no responsibility since they are not AmericanHome Movers.
After all that our couch was infested with bed bugs at some point in American home movers possession. I don’t even know where to begin to clean up the mess I now have to take care of after my move.

When it was time for my company to expend out of state, one of the hardest thing for us was finding a reliable moving company in order to get all the new store fixtures and and equipment moved from our main corporate store to San Diego CA.
I spoke to Moshe, he gave me all the info and costs and we closed the next day
The move was smooth his team was very professional and all my valuables made it to SD safe and clean.

The package was delivered in good condition. Their quotes are competitive. However, the dispatch at the delivery was very rude. They are shady when it comes to charging customer with the 75 feet. The dispatch will not measure the actually distance from the truck to pickup however attempts to rip off customer plus bold enough to ask for delivery.
They delivered the inventory late by 4 days but refused to give any discount. Read the contract carefully and ask for discount. Customer service is responsive.

Moving offices from Las Vegas to utah was not easy
Can be a little pain in the ear
But the guys were so nice friendly and done such a nice job, nothing broken

Moved to Vegas from California, a friend recommended American Home Movers. I was pleasantly surprised with the price, the service was exceptional! Everything arrived just as it left, and they even arranged it nicely so I didn’t have to do very much myself when they were done. Highly recommended !!

I would give 0 stars if, possible. I’m making a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. These people are liars. I spoke with Stanley in June about my move from Vegas to Boston. He asked me for a pick up date, and that is when I informed him that I would need everything delivered by August 1, so I asked him what date would be good for pick up to make this happen. He told me that a cross country move would take anywhere from 7 to 12 days or so, so in order to adjust for that we should make the initial pick up on the 19^th or 20^th of July. I said okay, then asked him what would happen if it gets there earlier, since I won’t be able to receive the items until August 1? He assured me that the drivers would contact me beforehand and if i wasn’t available for pick up then they would place it in storage and set a redelivery date of August 1 with me. Then… i had to call and remind them of my pick up date. After pick up, I called them a few days before I flew over to Boston for the Aug 1 delivery date trying to get an idea if they knew the time of when my stuff was going to get to Boston. No response. Called the consecutive days and even emailed with no response. Freaking out in Boston now, I finally get a hold of someone on Sunday, Aug 2^nd, the day after my delivery date. She informs me that I need to call Dispatch to figure out when they are going to deliver to me and Dispatch is closed Sundays. No one up until that point informed me to contact Dispatch to get this information. At this point, I, along with my elder parents, were renting hotels last minute, and then finally decided to sleep on the floor of my apartment to save money. Got a hold of dispatch on Monday and Ellie tells me she will find out and call me back. I call her back after 30 minutes, she says she will call me back in 2 hours. I call her back after 2 hours and she tells me she still needs to talk to her boss to get an idea of a delivery date and time. Then she tells me that she would call me before end of business day to tell me if she has news or tell me if she has no news, but she will call me. Frustrated I call the main office trying to get in touch with Stanley, and apparently he is not there, but they are aware of my situation and will get back to me, okay? NO, NOT OKAY, so I ask for the manager. When she gets on the phone, i ask who i am speaking with and she goes the manager… yeah i get that, what’s your name?! She says Izzy or Bizzy and then proceeds to tell me that I signed a contract with the movers and they are within their 21 days to deliver my items to me. When i state that 21 days should be sometime this week, she states that it is actually 21 days from when i state i can receive the shipment, so basically from aug 1 to the 21^st, since i stated i could receive them on the 1^st of august. She tells me it’s my fault for telling the guys that came to pick up my stuff that I could receive the stuff on Aug 1 and not immediately or else it would be delivered to me by the 1^st… no, no i discussed this with stanley, hence the pick up on the 19^th etc. etc. and she keeps arguing with me that it is my fault i told the pick up guys that i could receive the stuff on aug 1. I start telling her this is insane that I have to sleep on the floor of my apartment, and I can’t even take a proper shower, I don’t have my shampoo and things… she instantly replies, «well shampoo is not that expensive and sleeping on the floor is not the most horrible thing in the world.» This lady deserves the freaking nobel peace prize in being a subhuman piece of ish. Anyway, I am pretty much in a full on heated argument at this point, and I inform her that this is not what Stanley and I discussed and she denies that Stanley told me what he did because they don’t have storage in Boston, they only have storage in Vegas, and if they redelivered to me I would have to pay a huge fee, and I should know all this because I signed the contract. Obviously this conversation is going back and forth and not leading to a date of delivery or any sense since they are absolutely denying accountability or responsibility of their mess up, so we end the conversation with her stating that she will go through the tape recordings of our conversions and that dispatch is working really hard right now to get my stuff over to me as soon as possible. Guess what the kicker is… I find out my stuff is still in Las Vegas! And Ellie from dispatch never called me back at the end of business day. Wait wait, there is more! My brother goes to their office the next morning, and they tell him they still haven’t even scheduled a date for my things to ship out! So we pulled my stuff out of storage and had to hire another set of movers to get my things over here. And they won’t give me my money back because they are charging me for storage in their warehouse.
I know, this seems crazy for it to be true, but it is. I’m filling this complaint to the BBB, so you can check it out there as well!

My family moved from Modesto, CA to Deerfield, IL June 1^st 2015. We had moved across the country almost 3 years before that and had a terribly stressful experience, so this time we planned ahead. We were scheduled to fly out on a Friday. We told this moving company to come Wednesday or Thursday and last resort come Friday. We had to leave for the airport at 6pm. So you can probably see this coming. They didn’t come Wednesday or Thursday. No, the movers called Thursday to say they’d be there Froday between 10 and noon. Friday they called to say they’d arrive between 10 and 2. Then we got a call a couple hours later saying they would arrive between 2 and 4. They actually showed up at 5 with a short explanation, «there was traffic and we got lost.» Seriously? We were blessed to have neighbors we trusted who could watch the apartment for us while they packed because we had to go. You’re not allowed to have them pack with no one supervising them. My husband told me he overestimated the quantity of our things using their system online. So after their arrival, these movers told us we were under quoted and owe $ 1,000 more in packaging material, which impacted weight charges for another extra $ 500. They insisted payment be made in full right then. We paid $ 1,000 and they accepted that until the rest could be paid. After arriving to our new home, my husband called on the phone to complain. The rep who talked to him said she’d get back to him. We didnt hear back for a month or two.
However, recently, the owner of the company himself called and offered to help us out and make the situation right. He gave us a significant discount for our troubles. We were very appreciative and thankful for the personal attention to the issues I addressed.

I checked a few companies before I called amrican home movers. they where the only ones that gave me a binding estimate and the price didn’t change .very reasonable price for the great service I received everything came just the way I packed ty Vincent and amrican home movers for the great service! ! Highly recommended!

These guys were absolutely wonderful! Did a great job packing and moving all my stuff. We’re super thorough and efficient. Would definitely use them again for my next move!!!

On the move day the we’re on time and did a great job handling my stuff.
All my pictures, TV ‘s and delicate vases etc got to our new house in same way. The service was great, the job was done excellent and the price was great.
Hope I don’t move soon but if I do American homeovers will for sure be my choice.

We Moved from Texas to Las Vegas it was great and easy. They are very helped us with the move. They were courtesy, took care of our stuff. No problems, and worked hard. Great guys and moving company, on top of all this the price was really good. Would highly recommend over many others in the area.
