Chai Wok

Food quality declined. I ordered sweet and sour chicken with sauce on the side. It came drenched in sauce and my daughter would not eat it. I was told it would take 30 to 45 min to get a new order. My meal was chicken with mixed veg. The chicken came in large chunks and was hard to chew. I would not eat there again.

Great place. Nice ambiance, good service, and very tasty food. They have mainly Asian food and some American food. The sushi is amazing. The price is decent. Highly recommend it.

Terrible dining experience. I have had kosher sushi from Australia to Israel to Europe to America. The fish portions were minuscule. Even in Israel where fish is expensive the fish portion on rolls is three times bigger. The taste was adequate, not excellent but certainly acceptable for kosher sushi. The price was ridiculous. Over $ 100 for non luxury dinner for 3, without drinks or dessert. I would recommend avoiding this poor excuse for a sushi bar and waiting until you get to a better location for fairly priced, quality kosher sushi. This place doesn’t have it.

I called in an order for pickup. The service was good the food the past four times has been mediocre. Nothing special and expensive. What made me write the review was the blend taste of the Signapore noodles an egg shells in the dish.

If you really want good Kosher Chinese food& proper service skip this filthy place & GO TO CHINA BISTRO in the WATERWAYS in Aventura!!! Chai Wok is filthy and the food stinks… If there was a negative star they would qualify… The manager (owner) is a total d– bag. I need to concur with the other reviews about him. He had NO IDEA how to talk to people & deal with customers… he really needs to clean up his act & this place as well… SKIP THIS PLACE IT STINKS

Had take out, it was ready pretty fast.
Food was pretty good.
Had the Mongolian Veal.

There is no option to leave zero stars, but this establishment does really deserves zero. Ordered noodles with vegetables, fried rice and egg rolls. Noodles were overcooked, broccoli were brown and very mushy. I thought that was the worst until I tried fried rice. It smelled like socks that were used and not washed for few weeks. green peas was wrinkled and old and carrots were from the can. I decided to call and tell them, just because I wanted to warned them not to sell spoiled food. Danny answered the phone and I believe he is the owner. I explained him that I thought rice was sour and he told me its impossible because none else has complained and they have fresh rice. I told him that I m not calling because I would want refund, I wouldn’t go that low and ask $ 8 back, but simply its not right to sell spoiled food, and he told me that rice is sitting in rice steamer and there is nothing wrong with it and simply hung up on me. Not worth eating there.

This place has management that is probably the worst in existence. I ordered from this location 1.5 times (yes, a half a time is included — I’ll get to that later). The food was mediocre at best. I called to ask about the food, and if they made the dishes bland for a purpose. Perhaps that is the way the older crowed in town like it or something… I was told, ‘we’re Kosher’… Now, i’m not Jewish, but since when does Kosher mean no flavoring or seasoning… I told myself I would’t order from there again, and ordered from a place a block down the street… That place doesn’t deliver, but it is worth the 5 minute drive down Dixie.
I chalked it up the the 5 and 4 star people are probably not real ‘foodies’ and may even know the owners or something…
Fast forward about a year… We had been in the mood for chinese, but didn’t want to drive in the rain to our favorite place, so figured we would try again… Everyone deserves a second chance, right… Well, I am sorry we did. WE DIDN’T EVEN GET THE FOOD… We Placed an order for 2 dinners, 2 soups, and an egg roll… The total came to almost $ 45??? I called back when my wife told me the total. I asked if they can go down the list of items, cause it seemed as if we were charged for something TWICE… He said again, AND THIS SEEMS TO BE their Mantra, «We’re Kosher»… Ok, but does that mean you rip people off? I said, I understand that, but I’m looking on your website and My total doesn’t match yours… So he goes down the list of items and is about $ 6 off from my number and his number… He then tells me there is a SIX DOLLAR DELIVERY FEE???
Surprised for a Fee to begin with from a Chinese Resturaunt, as none I have experienced in my 10 years in Florida or 20 years in NY had a delivery fee… Before I can finish my sentence, he heard me say «Forget it», HE HUNG UP ON ME… I was going to say Forget it, I’ll just pick it up, he decided he didn’t need my business. I called back, and asked what the problem was… This was the 2^nd time I was treated rudely and before I can explain again that I would pick it up, he hung up again…
The best thing to do is GOOGLE Chinese in the area… If your Jewish, I’m sorry that you are forced to eat here, as I don’t think there are many other locations…

Enjoyed a nice dinner here after work. The service was very good. I had the Szechuan tofu with brown rice (no extra charge). My colleague had the moo shoo chicken dinner special. All of our food was brought out quickly. It was piping hot, fresh, and delicious. It was also quite filling and I had a nice amount to take home for lunch the next day.
Btw get the pistachio ice cream for dessert!

Good service and a decent ambiance. However, the quality of the «Chinese» food is not up to my standards.

Good Kosher Chinese is surprisingly hard to find in south Florida, so Chai Wok is a wonderful treat. We have eaten there many times and every dish we have tried has been very good. The servers are also excellent. The main problem is that every time we have been there (I think we’ve only gone for lunch), they have Fox News blaring loudly. Even if you were are a fan it would hardly be a pleasant atmosphere for dining. So much more so for those with other viewpoints. Despite the wonderful food and service, we could not wait to get out of the restaurant and rushed through our meal. Next time (if there is one), take out only.

Have eaten lunch many times at Chai Wok and have found the service to be fast and polite. Steve, the server remembers you and your likes and dislikes. Plus the food is delicious. The Wonton soup is the best, always get an extra serving to take home. My favorite place for Kosher Chinese.

Stay away dirty dirty diry RUDE manager if he can charge for water he would !!! Would never recommend to anybody obnoxious non caring owner/​manager letting a party of 7 walk out from NYC and doesn’t care about anybody but him self.

never been there but i saw on the news about them being robbed 3 times, as they interview the owner i could see and employee on the background grabbing a handful of noodles with his bare hands and putting them on a plate looked really nasty and dirty, i think most restaurants use tongs to handle noodles and such. it’s just a sanitary issue. seen on Channel 10 news look for minute 1:36 on the segment about the chai wok robberies.

Good food, very generous portions, good service, fairly priced.

Went back again this past Sunday the food was very good that night… horray!

Excellent kosher Chinese food. The service was great and we had a very friendly waiter. We came here on a Sunday night and it was busy, but they do have an «overflow» seating room connected to the main dining area. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for great Chinese food in the North Miami Beach area.

Great service. I went for lunch today. The service was quick and the food delicious! Delicious and kosher Chinese! Love it!
